Las Vegas Shootings

The police reported that the cleaning staff was in the room and did not see anything suspect.

"Mr. Paddock checked in on Thursday and kept the “Do Not Disturb” sign on his door for the next three days, so no maids entered the rooms, according to a hotel worker, who also was not authorized to discuss the matter. " [

I don't know this hotel, but it is possible that once you have checked in, you can just take a lift (elevator) from the garage without having to go past reception. He could have stored his weapons in a wardrobe.

I have been at the Mandalay Bay and the people asking about how long it took and whatnot it's not that quick to get to the room. If I remember right the reception lobby was on the one side, As the poster stated who answered you already you have to go through the casino to get to the elevators and I think there if you were in the other tower it was even a longer walk but could be wrong on that last part, Now it looks like this guy had a room at the end so it's like a kilometer walk to even get to your room from the elevators in some places as remember these places are city blocks in size.

I guess I am not going back to Vegas now as it will be either the terrorists or another wackjob that's going to copycat this. I have a co-worker who already had a trip booked this week or coming week and he is still going.

Vegas is probably the safest place you could be right now with all the security.

Don't forget the drug cartels. You'll end up buried out in the desert somewhere.
