Hi folks

A player from Germany got his winnings revoked from the casino.
6500 euro where removed from her 8000 euro winnings after withdrawel.
The casino is pointing to their T&C

63.4 A player with 1 deposit only will be eligible to cashout a maximum of 15x the initial deposit amount. All further winnings will be removed from the account upon withdrawal request.

They are owner of a MGA licence

What do you think about this?
Legal?

Its a really shitty term, but its far from the worst one i have seen.

Not trying to defend the casino, but any player signing up to that casino is accepting that they have read and understood that term.
Obviously most people wont read all terms and conditions, but making an account still means you have accepted them.

I cant say for sure if its legal or not, but i would guess that it is legal, unfortunately.

Aaaah Mr. Perfect enters the room ;-)

No need for that.

Members have been posting that for years and years.

I know its a pain in the arse but it is a golden rule when you join a casino as this is where the casinos hide their get out clauses, just like this one

Most can't be bothered as its pages and pages of drivel but it would avoid threads where players have fallen foul to nasty terms but also their own errors.

It's so so so important to read terms BEFORE deposit. I guess you didn't
I have seen too many condescending posts on here regarding people that don’t read the small print ……

Sorry but 99.9 percent of players world never read or understand the terms and conditions properly.

They are normally far too long and complicated for anyone to reasonably get a good understanding of without a law degree , as some terms can completely supersede another .

So please spew the same shite that everyone here normally does when someone gets disappointed…..

Better just play at places that have good feedback generally.

Depends where you are I suppose, even though the UK gets a lot of shit , and the UKGC with their new bad rules , the likes of Sky / Paddy Power / Novibet / Unibet would not give you any problems.

Edited because the poster did not take a bonus , just got shafted on a first deposit..

Name and shame the casino .

Of course I normaly always check the T&C and priority 1 for me is the reputation.
And it is not my case! Another player got victim of this fraud not me.

I just wanted some feedbacks what you guys would do on her case.
And I thought Casinomeister is one of the best place for experienced players out there.

The casinos name is Lapilanders and I didn't found much information about it.
I guess the most important question is while holding a MGA licence if this is allowed by "house rules"
to maximize winnings (without taking a bonus).
Let's say a casino is limiting all winnings by deposit amount x5 or so.
You also would say this is scamming.

And who can be sure they also might edited the T&C afterwards
so this player cannot withdraw the whole winning amount?

They do say 1 deposit so the term appears to only apply to the first deposit, and not every one.

It seems it’s a term designed to protect against 1st time depositors winning big on there first time on the site, crap term indeed but doubt its illegal it’s clear in the terms for all to see. With so many people getting lucky on what appears there first play on a casino you have to wonder if there is anything in this compenriggisated what not 😁

It's a poor term but I think completely legal.

It does not contradict any of the licencing rules, so enforceable.

When you sign you agree to terms and unless against legislation or law, its the way the land lies.

On the subject of t&c's you don't need to read them all, though the best advice is to take the time, most are very similar under the majority of headings. The headings to read through are deposits, withdrawals and bonuses - I know we don't do it, I never used to, but it takes a few minutes which is nothing compared to spending hours churning out wins only to have your fun ruined at cashout.

I have probably never read the t&c’s from any place I have signed up to myself . I generally go on gut feeling trust, and so far have never not been paid out from any online casino.

But as you say they can easily edit their terms and conditions anytime they like , and myself and 99.99 percent of people would never screenshot the t&c of the site when they sign up.

Nobody will take screenshots at the time of signing up , so who knows what changed further down the line.

I totally agree with you. but unfortunately some places change the contract retrospectively and that is hard to prove and enforce…

It is noticeable that the max withdraw amount for the welcome bonus (x15 deposit)
is the same as the player would use no bonus on first deposit.
Yeah it's nearly impossible to find out if the t&c's got edited here

So thanks folks for your interpretation on this case

In previous years guilty of just taking the depo bonus and then finding out what the terms are - luckily never won anything of note to make it an issue

Progress Play casinos have a x3 conversion and the Old Nektan used to be a x5 as well - excellent stuff.

Don't know if some places have more discretion if you've been there a while - when i used to play at Redbet a lot their no deposit spins, for example, had a max cash out of 100 but they always used to pay me the full amount, above that.

Can you not use Wayback Machine to see the previous versions of the t's and c's?

I mean - this is easy to get round.
Deposit the minimum - 5 or 10 euros. Lose it (or win x15!) then deposit the funds you actually want to play with.
