I think the UK govt. should apply a reverse withdrawal here....then ask for a SoW.

And why should they pay it back. If the government made the money available then nothing wrong in claiming it.

Same as top football clubs that pay their stars 50k or more a week still claimed it for their young players.

They should pay it back as they still made a good profit so it wasnt really needed.The government generates

You can argue that with the garden/landscaping companies etc who, from speaking with people, were in their most cash rich year - they too claimed a lot of it. Nothing wrong, entitled, but good for the goose and all that.

Might be legally right to claim it, but morally wrong not to pay it back if the companies profit shows they were not adversly affected by Covid.

As i said, plenty/if not a lot of small businesses in the same situation - gonna ask them to repay?
