Just got back from 2-weeks on holiday with NO gambling!!
But did take a few hours out to analyse my gaming logs and come up with the stats for MG slots & all Crypto games.
I am posting this just as a matter of interest to anyone who is interested.

Some of the samples are very small I know, but put them in anyway. However, these figures do not include every session game at every casino Ive played, just those that I recorded (which is about 90%). Also I have not included the games on which I had only a little dabble. The MG stats are from Sept 2004 to date.
I have drawn my own conclusions from the results, but will leave you to draw your own!

These are my thoughts:-
What on Earth is this slot like? When I played it in fun mode it was diabolical but when I took a chance with real cash it was a different story! Great fun as long as those features keep hitting.
Not surprised to see Spring Break & Ladies Nite in the black definitely two of the best MG slots in my opinion.
Pleased to see my favourite Tomb Raider finished on evens. Gotta love Laura! ;)
Not too surprised at the bad ones either Secret Admirer & its clone Good 2 Go are pretty crap unless you get at least 4 of the scatter symbols.
Reel Strife is just that too often you play for ages to get a reel crap feature.
Tally Ho & Thunderstruck have far too many spins between features, which are often disappointing anyway. :(

I didnt include the Spring Break Jackpot as I felt it corrupted the figures too much, but you can see that if put back in it actually takes my overall total result 78 credits into the black!!!
Who says slots dont pay???

And Cryptos...

Again, these figures are from various Cryptos over the last 3-years, and dont include every session ever played as I sometimes forgot to record them!
This is the first time I have ever analysed my logs like this, and found it interesting reading.

Thoughts:-
Not exactly sure which slots come under all the categories, but Multi-Line Video Slots include Hampsteads, FatCat, Love Bugs, etc. which finished in the black!
Fruit Machines are tedious, boring and crap. Yet show my biggest return! But this is only cos I had a freaky $100 win drop straight in once.

Not totally surprised to see Roulette at the top of the table games. I very rarely play this due to high minimum bets and not included in WRs, but I had a mega winning streak lasting 7-8 consecutive days back in 2003 which pushed the total right up!

The blackjack figures actually put some credibility to my gut feel for this game at Cryptos. In 2003 it was probably my favourite game and I actually finished the last 4-months of that year in the black! (And I know I do not play perfect strategy). But early in 2004 I felt something had changed, and that I just could not win at it any more. The poor result that year and my steep decline in playing it this year are a reflection of that change. :(

No. But my Czech out-laws don't speak English, and I don't speak Czech.
Sitting in front of my laptop was better than sitting in front of them twiddling my thumbs and occasionally smiling! :D

Which Crypto casino?

KK.

Which Crytpo casino did you compile that list from? I don't keep as accurate stats as you do, but in sands of the caribbean I have been making real good money in their blackjack over the last two years. in fact I am up $21k on them in the last 3 months. their payout percentages seem to be the exact opposite as what you described.

Thanks for sharing. Interesting reading for sure.

Just an observation.....You've played thousands of hands of BJ over the last 2 years, yet you haven't taken the time to master perfect strategy (or you know it but choose not to use it). Even if you didn't want to take the time to memorize the strategy, it could be as simple as having a cheat sheet by your computer which would tell you what to do on any given hand.

BJ is one of the few casino games that is not all chance and requires some knowledge and skill. It is well documented that playing perfect strategy gives the player the best chance of winning (as opposed to hunches, gut feelings, etc). You should try using it next time and see if you do any better. I bet you do!

The right thing to do in the Czech Republic is to find the nearest pub and to drink beer! :drink:

I played at almost all of them! eg. Sands, Omni, 49er, Intercasino, VIP, Peach, Cyberspades, William Hill, Littlecocks...

Jone: Sorry - also VERY happily married - maybe in another life... :D

Mel Gibson (?) Frankly I can't be assed with Crypto Blackjack any more. Apart from the fact that I already play VERY close to perfect strat, and improving on that is not going to make up the -6% by much, the game also does my head in! It just takes the piss far too often for a 'close to even money' game. I'd rather play Stud Poker; this has it's bad streaks as well, but at least there's always the chance of hitting a FH, 4oak, or something better...
I do still play BJ occasionally, just to check if it's still diabolical or whether they've maybe switched it back to true random mode... (Conspiracy Theory..? Mel Gibson..? :D :D )

GM: Spot on! Under 40p/pint, pure, clear, and cold... mmmm

KK,

Thanks for the info. Would you mind answering some questions?

What is your strategy generally?
Do you bet max?
What is your normal bank?
How long do you stay on a slot if it stops hitting?
and any other good info...

Thanks...

WhyOwhy:

What is your strategy generally? The W.A.G. System (Wild-Ass-Guess)
Do you bet max? No. Minimums (or close to that) always.
What is your normal bank? Depends on bonus offer. Typically $100-400.
How long do you stay on a slot if it stops hitting? Try to jump off before -$50.
and any other good info... Keep your head down, your eye on the ball and swing through it smoothly but firmly. Should go 250 yards+ ;)

Thanks KK!

I decided to try Intercasino 9 line slots after reading your results. I deposited $40 and got the 90% monthly bonus.

Ended up cashing out $270 and that's US dollars so I get even more! :)

I would say that your blackjack results are "skewed" for the following reasons:

(1) Your percentage loss is NOT the percentage of bets lost, but represents a percentage of units won/lost. You were not flat-betting (since 1357 - the number of bets - is not a factor of 3552, your total units bet). Hence the percentage is not representative of the true house edge.

(2) Your sample size is still rather small. Taken another way - an earlier poster claimed that his percentage win over the last three months is more indicative of a PLAYER's edge of six percent, yet I'm sure BJ players aren't deluded enough to think that Crypto BJ is a positive expectation game - we are all aware that this game has its fluctuations.

(3) Your admission that you do not play perfect basic strategy. I admittedly change my basic strategy when playing Crypto (especially based on certain patterns I have noticed), but then I do not need to complain about the payouts. Does playing a modified basic strategy impact the percentage? Of course it does. And this is magnified when playing a smaller sample....

I cant believe you actually analyze this....
Doesnt anyone play for fun anymore?? LOL

I have to admit that Czech Republic is well known place for mongers so I guess for some there are much more exciting things to do there than drinking.

:o xcuse me! :o
