KK's 243-way MG Slot Experiment...

Having occasionally been know to criticize MG's 243 ways slots as being over-rated - I decided to give them a bash & see if I was right.

This post has been a very long time in the making: it started with a $500 deposit + $250 bonus at 32Red way back in August but I didn't finish the experiment until the end of December!
(I play slow and very sporadically, and jump from casino to casino a lot - what can I say?)

I made a list of slots and then planed to play at least 500 spins on each, or until I got at least 1 feature, or until I was $50 or more up.
But I accidentally put Leagues of Fortune on my list, forgetting it was a 1024-way slot. When I got to it, I decided to play it anyway... which turned out to be a BIG mistake!

I don't do minimum bets, so nearly all these spins are at either 3 or 5 coins per line (90c or $1.50 per spin), though I did also throw in 50 spins @ $2.40 on TFROL, 57 @ $3.00 on GwG-JH and 55 @ $3.00 on SWR.

Early in January I went INSANE on Loaded with $2.50+ bets – didn’t record it, but it was 2x worse than anything above, and I lost $580.
After that I immediately hit the Cash-out button for $1,500 – a profit of $1,000 – but I COULD have had double that…

Conclusions:
TS2 and IR ARE as bad as I thought they were.
But many of the other weren't as bad as I expected.
When you've got a really nice balance - hit the freaking CASH-OUT button!

Very interesting experiment I wanted to try something similar but kept forgetting.
I tend to avoid 243 ways unless I'm either on a good bankroll or tilting and not giving a monkeys F hahah!

It's funny you had success on the two GWG versions I get hammered by them every time. My 35£ was gone on 30p bets in under half an hour without a feature or anything above even 25x... Ironically these two supposedly have the highest TRTP around for 243 ways which is over 98%!!

As I always say though when it's not your day on a slot (even if it's your favourite) It's not your day and any slot can dispose of your cash in a timely manner...Well done on the great profits!

Until I saw 'Battle Star Galactica' - Oh Dear.....what an utter waste of coding and possibly MG's worst even pay table!

good post KK , i shan't bother adding mine to your list , your eyes might just pop out your head , concerning the 243 ways which is what i mainly play , after the last few weeks of complete destruction im going to move away from them meaning max spins 50. ive seen some poor times on these slots but nothing like ive been getting this year i cannot buy a feature & if it does show i may as well pass all the funds ive chumped in it onto someone else grrrrrr

Was hoping to see Game of Thrones - the bastard can suck money faster than any other in my experience, but I did have a lot of good base game wins (let's say between 50 and 300x bet) from time to time - I don't see as many wilds as in GoT in other MG 243-liners with stacked wilds, though that might just be me. As for Thunderstruck II, why does it not surprise me?

Look forward to the results if you decide to give it a go.

I used to play the 9-liners Heavily, still do but nowhere as much as when the full choice of MG download clients were available to UK players!

Probably only because I've reduced my play, mixed in with a bit of foil hatting but I do feel they are 'not like they used to be'

Examples include, FS on Thunderstruck way harder to trigger and rarely when you do any re-triggers, Adventure Palace, regular 5OAK Monkey/Tiger, since the 'HD Treatment' not hit it once, AJB seems to have increased in variance and can go thousands of spins with no bonus, Spring Break is the only one I feel is stable in comparison to 'what I am used to'

I know you were/are a Ladies Nite fan so if you want to give it a go, I can help with stats/spins etc and we could combine the data maybe??

Unfortunately I am a humble low roller with a small controlled budget so my contribution would all have to be on 9p/18p bets
