discovered the world of gambling a few months ago and it seemed like an awesome way to make money. overall i'm down something like $20. for now i've been sticking to low-wagering games, mostly roulette.

casinomeister.com has come up in many of my google searches while researching betting strategies and online casinos. i figured it was a good idea to sign up here in case i wanted to post something or file a PAB someday.

i'm trying to figure out how to make enough money from gambling to not have to work, but it looks like that might not be possible. seems the best way to make money is to just play through some bonuses, but bonuses have a limit, so once i use them up i have to wait for another bonus offer or a new casino to open.

i guess the days of easy money from gambling are gone. most video poker machines don't offer much, there are rules in place to minimize the advantages of card counting in blackjack, biased roulette wheels are unheard of these days.

i'll end by saying i think this site is awesome, and hi everybody! : )

Welcome. Glad you found us all.

My personal advice is use gaming for entertainment only -- you can't make a true living from it.

Nice to meet you, Dwype. Welcome to Casinomeister! :) Although a few pros make a living playing poker, I seriously doubt you can feed yourself as a regular casino player! I wish! It's fun to play and exciting to win but like Diane said, treat it as entertainment and use your hard earned money from your job to play.

Welcometo the forum Dwype though I would leave out the word 'just' in your thread title as its a bit belittling. We treat newbies in the same way as we treat old-timers including myself.

Welcome to the world of online gaming. I am happy you have won but the 'easy money' stems from what we call 'beginner's luck' which though inexplicable leads you into a deep hole once you get indulged in it. Frankly, in the long run the house always wins so the best option for you would be to work hard, earn more money and use some of the spare money to gamble. Be prepared for the worst ie you might lose every single cent that you deposit and remember not to chase losses as this is what has been the worst of pitfalls for gamblers. There is no certainty that a fresh gambling session will be better than the last so betting more and more may simply make you lose more and subsequently leave you mired in debts as it is unsustainable.

I just read a couple of your posts and I believe you are intelligent enough not to believe that online gaming will provide you with enough money so you dont have to work. Given the state of the worldwide economy there is no substitute for diligence no matter how clever you are.OK, OK I am a bit long -winded but I just hope for the best to you.

Hi Dwype and welcome!:)

FYI- My hobby is called gambling and there is a reason it's my hobby. If I were to make a living doing this, I'd be living in my car. The winning runs are great but few and far between. My advice? Keep your day job and play for recreation.;)

Best wishes and hope you enjoy it here!:)

Christine
