I wasn't sure where to put this, so admins please move it where it's most appropriate.

In the short time I've been a member, I've grown fond of so many of you and have enjoyed all your helpful advice, and your wit and humor, and how you look out for one another like a family. For that I want to say thank you all so much!

I'm going to poke my head in from time to time and say hi, and read up on how you're all doing. But I've decided it's time to let go of the gambling. Over the weekend I uninstalled all the gambling software. When I weigh the money and time lost against the odds of those games, it's more of a gamble than I can afford to continue with.

Please be careful, people. That it doesn't become too much of a priority in your life. Or feel that you must do it in order to feel like ''one of the group''.

Love to all!

SnowKatt~ :)

SnowKatt I want to wish you the very best.
And please stop by time to time.and always remember you don't need to gamble to be part of a great group of people.
Tom

I agree Snowkatt - gambling can be a very addictive habit - I for one have went overboard on more than one occasion. I took a year off from gambling and now can safely say I only play on a budget. This forum is a great place to express how you feel and I personally feel you don't need to actually be playing at casinos to enjoy the forum. :D

Happy to have had you here, Snowkatt. Best wishes to you in all that you may do!

You might be surprised at the number of us (particularly US players) that only spin the reels on the rare occasion, or not at all now. You do as is best for you. And please do PM Bryan if you want to opt out of the forum entirely. (And stay out of that Winning Screenies room regardless!! ;) )

wish you the best snowkatt! i know how frustrating it can be when you consider how the time and money can slip through your fingers. balance seems to be the hardest to achieve when gambling and i believe it's something very few of us can master.... but we can all try!

Keep in touch to let us know how you are doing and DONT look at the winner screenshots thread, lol. Look everywhere else, just not there :D.

sorry to see you go i know its easy to get caught up in all this. I find when its my day off im glued also to the casinos most times not a good thing. Just keep in mind you cant change the past but you can move forward in a dif direction.
Good luck hugzzz keep in touch

Awww :) You are all so sweet! Thanks for the kind words. Don't worry, i'm not abandoning the forum! Just gambling for awhile. I don't have a problem now, just know when I'm reaching my limit. I'd still like to hang around and throw in my two cents (in the forum, not the casinos! hehe) now and then, just not as much as before.

You're a fun supportive group. Thanks a bunch.

I was just drafting a strongly worded statement beginning with "Who allowed you to leave" when I saw this. :D:D When you are subconsciously mired in your gambling visiting this forum in itself will give you a break and although most of the posts are about gambling you are not physically engaged in it and consequently not losing money.

Ohhhh

and dont feel bad if you do end up playing. Lots of us (as u will see with time) say we are taking a break and a few days later there is a Winner Screenshot from the same person. Ive done it myself, so dont think or feel that ppl are gonna say "i thought u were taking a break?" LOL, we woudlnt do that to you, atleast Ive seen anyone in here say that to someone:)

Oh babs, you're such a wit :p .. Well, admittedly, my innitial thought was to to abandon everything including the forum. *ducks for cover* thus the title of the thread being ''it's time to go''... but I don't need to do that, nor do I want to. I don't have to play the games to actively contribute and enjoy the group of friends I've made here.

....besides... chuchu  says i'm not allowed to leave. *snicker* :p

big grats to you snow, just want you to know that playing on a budget is possible, look at me for instance i only make 2 depoosits a month both on my paydays both for $50 if i win i cash out and might make an extra deposit with part of my winnings if i lose i just DO NOT make another deposit till my payday, a little thing called self control which i seem to have mastered in the little part of my life called gambling, now if i could maintain that same controll in other areas

That's awesome Petey and I sincerely commend your self discipline, that is certainly something that more of us need these days !!!

I have been gamble free since July and happy with the personal decision I made to stop. I loved playing slots and am facinated with them as most of us are, so I come here every once in awhile to read. It has actually helped me keep on course because I havent denied myself the enjoyment I get from reading your posts and seeing whats going on in the industry. Most of my GA friends wouldnt agree with my strategy, but it works for me! Cheers!
