I'm not sure if us operators can take part in the vote, but I have to say - TranceMonkey really deserves an award this year.

I've worked in the industry for about seven years now, and spent some time on the supplier side at NetEnt. Still, I have learned so much from TranceMonkey's thread.

It's incredibly informative and gives a great insight to the world of game development. I'm sure if we added up the amount of time spent by TranceMonkey in the course of the year answering queries and giving detailed explanations (often more than once on the same topic, due to the size of the thread!) we would see he probably spent more time than most of us reps combined helping the forum members (I exclude Dan from that one, obviously!) :)

I know we probably can't vote but I wanted to acknowledge the hard work and effort here regardless :)

Best Casino: VideoSlots; not very lucky, but allmost 100% online (except the problems with LAG a few weeks ago) with a wide range of games. Ofcourse weekend booster, casino
races and FS on Tuesday are nice (though it seems I can't pass level 20.......:what:)

Worst: Maybe RedBet; at first I got allways FS when releasing a major slot, but since allmost a year I never ever hear or receive anything from them

Best rep: Dan (speaks for itself.....)

It has been a bit of a difficult year for me financially, and as a result have not played anywhere near the levels of which I have in subsequent years. For this reason it is difficult for me to provide an opinion on many casinos preferring to stick to the one or 2 that I enjoy or have personal loyalty to and who have always been good to me. Videoslots is a close second. Their range of slots is impressive and continues to become more impressive with every passing week. The regular free spins, weekly cash back and casino races are all features which I am sure for myself, as well as many, are reasons enough to want to play there. As many have already pointed out, Dan is an incredibly good rep and is highly valued on this forum, which only goes as another plus point in their favour. For me they are a close, very very close second.

My number one choice though is still 32Red. It is where most of my deposits are played when I am able. I know they have taken a lot of flack over the last couple years, downgrading cashout times and downgrading the dish of the day offers amongst others and I agree that their prescence on the forums has been somewhat absent recently. I am sure they have their reasons for all of these changes and it is not my place to question that or them. As players we all choose to put our money where we feel the most comfortable and for me that still stands for 32Red. I cannot speak for other forum members, but for me they are and have always been very good. Cashout times are unimportant, at least for myself. I dont particularly care that I have to wait 2 or 3 days to receive any winnings, it`s not a deal breaker for me. I know that those winnings will be paid, hassle free and problem free, and they always have been.

I cannot think of any other casino that gives me back more than what 32Red does and like I said this year compared to others I have hardly been a player, so to be honest I really deserve nothing, but thats what makes 32Red special. Despite my abscence, many a time this year have I found upon loading my account, free chips of 20 and 32 just sitting there waiting to be played. It has not been requested and they have not been asked for, they have just been given and nothing has been asked for in return. When I compare this to the free 5, 10 or 15 free spins at minimum bet that say video slots would give, I will take the free chips from 32Red every time. They do look after their loyal players. THIS is what still makes them number one in my eyes. I have spent over a decade being loyal to 32Red, and that loyalty has always been returned, even when I can no longer be a regular depositer. They are one of the few casinos to award free chips for Birthdays, hell, most dont even send an email with best wishes these days. But 32Red never forget. These may all be only small things but it is a lot more than any other casino gives me, upto and including the lauded Videoslots.

Also a special award for that clever bloke who cleans up all the Biermeister prizes? :p
You already got your award - free beer at the Meister Meeting. :p

And a special award for CAG members who came onto this thread and told people their award choices before the SECRET ballot has taken place?
LOL - the CAG members can post all they want here since I reference this thread (among others) for the short list. Who knows? They may change their minds when it comes down to the real vote. :D

Best Casino - Videoslots, despite not much luck there. Not many offers but i've been burnt with bonus t's and c's that i tend to avoid. Wager free. Close second for me is SlotsMillion - if offers are you're thing these guys tend to ping them out often (but if like Caddell, if you win they may stop :D)

Rep - don't know if it's a good thing to always see the rep (bit like a referee!) but probably Dan. The Captain follows in the next cart behind him.

Worst? - I don't tend to play at 'bad' casinos so hard to say. Stumped for this one.

There have been some good (relatively) newcomers: Calzone Casino and Play Ojo probably deserve a mention - the latters are wager free as well

Tread - enjoyed reading Trancemonkey's.

Slots - yeah, i'm a sucker...but Bonanza or DHV for me, so BTG. Though i've probably had bigger wins in immortal romance

Worst Slot - Netent (apart from DOA)

Best in my experience this year has been Video Slots

Worst in my experience has been Slots Millions (just my experience remember)

How about a category for worst New Slot....Only one winner there though, surely? ' Finn, Twirly Spin' < What a huge pile of smelly poo that slot is.

I came to write a post almost identical to this.

I consider myself in a lucky position, regularly attending slot demonstrations etc, but the insight that Trancemonkey has shared has certainly taught me a couple of things. His patience with the tinfolier's is also commended.

That patience is regularly tested - trust me ;) In fact, it has reared it's head again in the Slot Fairness Discussion... and it's very hard to stay calm when someone is telling you how things work and basically calling you a liar when they have no experience whatsoever of how games work. And i get that - i was the same before i got in to this industry... But... ooo... i could scream at the monitor sometimes lol

Here my votes, although I can't say much about a lot of casinos since I limited my play this year to three multi-platform hangouts and one download casino.

Best Casino: a tie between Videoslots and Rizk, the amount of games might tip it towards VS.
Best Casino Group: GiG, even if Guts does not deserve it but the others are making up for the shortcomings.
Best Download Casino: 32RED by a mile
Best Rep: Dan, with the Captain, Rachel and Mark very close. I mean this group represents the best of the best on how we player expect casino representatives to support and treat us. Always very difficult to pick one out but Dan's near 24/7 CM presence gave him the edge in my view.
Best Customer Service: for me still Betat, not once a beat late with an email answer, not once an answer a la "i have no clue", prompt Live Chat team, fast payments
Best VIP Program: Betat - great cashback deal, comps without asking the day after a bad session, etc., if they would just add a few more game providers. For me personally, Rizk is coming though very close to topple them.
Best Gaming Experience: Videoslots - amount of games, gamification level, battle of slots, free battle weekends
Best Casino Software: BTG, just so innovative in their creations, actually mathematical "monsters" which excites me personally, and although a lot of us have a love-hate thing with their slots we still play them virtually in every session
Fall from Grace: Next/CasinoLuck/WildSlots group by a mile, going from top to bottom in a matter of hours. Their websites still look totally amateurish.
Best Thread - Gaming: Trancemonkey's "Ask me anything about slots"
Best Thread - Personal: Bebo's Go-Fund me thread that brought us all a little closer
Worst Casino: I couldn't name one since I have not registered with new ones for over 1 year now but I am sure there are a plenty of contenders.

I will say videoslots because of the battles alone. I have taken breaks from depositing and the 2 weeks of battles give you free play that gives you a chance to play for money and win. You wont win very much but just knowing that I am still playing for something is nice. It saves me from the urge of depositing and gives me a bit of a fill.

Just 2 weeks ago I had a 5 euro ticket I won from trophies and was taking a break from depositing and I placed 2nd in the battle for $50 and won $20 from other free battles so that was a $70 cashout with no risk to me. Its not much but it still gives the player the feeling you can get an ok cashout for free.

Only bad thing about their site is the vip program when you are on a bad streak.

Could you imagine a player who has only played at unibet or betsson and then goes to videoslots their first time, lol. It would be like someone living in the 1800's and then suddenly waking up in 2017.

The rep here seems super chill too. Ive lurked here for awhile and many reps can get emotionally involved and offended. He seems to take everything in and always respond professionally and never let negative emotions take him over.

Its one casino I feel if I won 1 million dollars at, there would be zero chance they attempt to screw me. I cant say I feel that safe anywhere else.

Good thread, but I think there's one which stands out above all:

https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/casinomeister-s-charities/77492-jennifers-medical-fund.html

It shows how some things are far more important than facile video representations of a RNG result.

Bebo had a shite year, yet has come through this and still posts with a sense of humour and having won a battle that's far more significant than any we have with slots or waiting a few extra days for a cash-out.

So for me it was inspiring, and for all of you that responded to Bryan's OP on Jen's behalf, that's possibly one of the best things you did all year!

Thanks Dun! I'd wish you a Merry Christmas but I like my life :p

I've already nominated Rachel for best rep but is there a "best customer service" category? Because I'd give that to SlottyVegas/BetAT. Just about the most down to Earth group of CS in the industry in my opinion. Always ready to chat instantly and always polite, funny, on the ball with any issue.
I don't know how much time I've spent just sitting there chatting with them and bouncing jokes off each other, great bunch of people.
