Best and Worst of Online Gambling - Meister Awards for 2018 - I need your input!

Yeah, once again a year has zipped on by and the Casinomeister Awards are being deduced, slapped together, and churned out. Just like last year, and the year before, and the year before that, and that one, etc., etc., blah blah blah - going back to 2001, this is your chance to suggest new and interesting categories, awards, recipients, or any other input for that matter.

For the newbies, The Casinomeister Awards are dished out right after the Xmas break - usually during the third week of January. It's an "event of the year" which has been held since 2001.

For quite a number of people, these are the only awards that matter... Screw the rest, these are the best.

The Best and Worst of Gambling for 2005 Not too much has changed sine then. Unbelievable.


Anyway, I could use your input on best/worst categories. Stupid casino tricks - worst named, and/or anything else you can think of.

Most Importantly: I create the shortlist of the Best Casino of the year with the input from this thread.


I put together the short list for the Best Casino 2018. The short list will be voted on (in a secret vote) by the Casinomeister Advisory Group.

For me they are the following (in that order)
Videoslots -- imo, you cannot beat what you get for your Money there. Battles, Weekend Booster, Race winnings, some rewards for Trophys etc.
Rizk -- quickest payouts out of any casino where i play. Had it happen quite a few times that a withdrawal was processed before i even managed to lock it -- playing away the few odd cents/euros before locking. (via Trustly)
Trada -- pretty much my go to for Microgaming, solid support, quick payout times. Now have NetEnt back and receiving BTG Games via MG Platform so that might bump me up to play there more . Only complaint here is no Quickspin for NetEnt Slots (i dont mind on most slots but the speed of DoA truly kills me since its such a grindy game), might be different since the NetEnt relaunch though.

Most improved casino. L&L Europe. @L&L-Jan ...They went from a very boring MG and amatic casino to adding providers such as BTG, thunderkick, blueprint and more. Jan is a very active rep here who even posts his big wins. And had some very fun contests for members here.
They have a long way to go to win best casino award but they are def mos improved amongst all accredited casinos.

Most disappointing casino group. Digimedia. They went from offering reloads, responding to messages/emails, vip levels to absolutely nothing. They dont respond, they wont discuss player complaints on the forums anymore, bonus ban most people and dont care about vip. Complete 180 from them.

Rep of the year is @Team.Videoslots To put that much effort and dealing with the cry babies in the videoslots thread would drive me insane. Yet everyday they log in and are friendly and responsive.

Most spammiest casino group of the year. Casino Rewards. Good lord people get a grip!

I'm sitting on the fence with Trada as Rachel has never returned emails for affiliate issues with me. Its been since last summer. I have pretty well walked away from doing affiliate stuff now.

Best casino for me by a mile has to be Trada, I can't fault their customer service either on site or on here, fast response, fast payouts and a good plethora of games

Like Supa, I think Conor and Rachel do deserve the best rep award, they are active on the forum, response times are good and they are very accommodating to forum members suggestions and recommendations.

Will return when I think about the worst for me.

Worst Casino: All the rogues
Best Customer Service: Trada hands down, I have never had a negative interaction with the Trada crew. They deserve a raise.

Edit: I suggest a new category for this year. Most Frustrating player experience and for that one I nominate the following: Rizk Source of Wealth Bullshit! What Nate went through here highlights some problems that players are starting to face more frequently and makes life very difficult especially for the self employed.

I'm trying to recall notable events as I go, sorry for edits. The GameArt rigged demo slots deserves a reminder too.

As for casino and reps, I agree Trada - same rank as VS but to be fair VS offering rigged demos and coming , ahem! to a £1m 'arrangement' with the UKGC kind of tarnishes them for me this year I'm afraid.

First and foremost to all members - the forum can get pretty exciting around the last quarter as more and more casinos seem to make a larger presence, so I encourage everyone to look at the year in the entirety, not just recent memory

Best Casino:
VS, even with new changes looming, throughout 2018 they simply could not be beat for their casino rewards and promotions nor their generous contests here in CM. Add to that stellar service, consistently on top of things and cm presence, which brings us to the below -

Best Rep:
I propose a dually-shared award here. While Dan may have moved to new stomping grounds, for the best part of 2018 he has been here forever answering Qs with an omini presence and astounding good grace. His team picked up and continued on in his absence utilizing the best qualities of what Dan inspired in others - diligence and quick responses and astounding presence; so to them both.

Worst Casino: to all those who wo view CM as a marketing tool, think members are less savvy than they are, and barely login but to flog their wares, apply dodgy Ts and
Cs and do all the things which tarnish their better brethren.

Best member: A collective shout out to the experienced members who tirelessly welcome and aid new members, answering Qs, helping newbies avoid the unfortunate pitfalls out there, using their own experience and time to show other players how to get the most (and safest use) out of their online gaming activites.

Worst member: To those who endlessly login and post for the SOLE purpose of whinging and whining, berating reps and dragging others down, rather than uplifting people and contributing to the forum positively, making this a better place to be, and failing to recognize, nor promote the fun, family community this is and should be.

Best provider: Love them or hate them - this year, no threads receive more traction than anything with BTG in the title. whether it's to moan or post winning screenies, BTG is the CM equivalent of work water-cooler tallk about the newest most exciting television show

Fall from Grace - No names here (you know who you are) - ALL casinos that CM and CM members helped boost over the years, and once they get accolades or too big for their britches, seem to forget exactly who helped them climb so high in the first place. And it's easy enough to soar again - remember who helped you when you were the little guys.

Best thread: ANY thread where members engage one another in civil discourse and have open-minded discussions, ask and answer Qs, banter and share and leave their butt-hurts and trash talk at the door.

And with that, I'm on my frst coffee and proably forgot bits and bobs and will likely add later

Rep wise - Trada. Deal with issues and offer ad hoc comps. Mention to LandL who have ran some pretty generous ones this year. Surprised Jans not been sacked for busting the yearly budget in one go.

Best provider - oh man it pains me. BTG. If for anything, their ability to sell games that run at 50x bonus rounds in 500 spins on a good day. Marketing alone, league of their own. Whether that’s a good thing or not
