Yep, I'll be attending the ICE and LAC this next week which means I will be running into operators as well as some some software providers and licensing jurisdiction reps.

Please use this thread to pose any question you may want me to present. I'll do my best to get whatever answers you are looking for. :D

- why have some providers increased the standard bet when opening a game?
- why do they deactivate autospin, start&stop and quickspin for Free Spins, mainly Netent
- why are Alderney, UKGC and MGA licensing a game that goes regularly 1,000's of spins without a bonus round claiming that the bonus rounds will be generous when over 90% of them do not pay more than 20x bet (Bonanza). Do they know that it puts a lot of pressure on the gambler to play even more because he is chasing losses from the base game and then hopes the bonus round will save him?
- why do the above commissions allow casinos to instate sky high wagering requirements on bonuses? I refer to 60x WR and higher.
- why do the same commissions allow promotional material to be sent to players promising a "freebie" in the headline when it is not?
- when will they strengthen the SE/RG regulations with clear rules?

got more but not remembering them all right now :D

Have fun!

I asked some questions to a WMS / SG representative last year (Harry his name is) but he couldn't / wouldn't answer the following ones. Perhaps you have more luck if you happen to bump into them:

- When is the auto spin button for us UK players making a return?
- Are the pick features on your games pre-determined.

For Play N Go please(if they are there?)

There was a thread quite recently regarding varying RTP settings at different casinos. I would like to hear their response on this, be interesting to hear their initial (without having time to construct any "fairy tales") replies.

If I could attend myself I would probably throw this question at all the providers in attendance!

Time to either bin forever or wear my foil hat with pride :D

Cheers and Enjoy!

To established casino's.

Has the increase in online casino competition benefited the punter and how has it effected your casino?

I think that this is a really relevant question and the answer has massive knock on effects that are largely invisible to the end user - you guys the players.

Th increase in competition essentially means that yes it is far far harder now to not just retain players but to attract them in the first place. This, combined with the rise of "mega affiliates", cost of TV/media buying means that acquiring players has now become MASSIVELY expensive. Gone are the days when a half decent SEO program will direct enough traffic to sustain a business. It is very difficult for any new Operator to be heard over the "noise" and attract new players.

This means that due to the huge cost of acquisition, the more difficult it is to balance the books by outrageously good retention bonuses - irrespective of the massive drain caused by bonus hunters.

The flip side of this for the players is that it means that to retain players Operators need to really up their game to provide an experience that makes the player stay, so that we can - eventually - profit.

To Netent: why do I need to do the customization of the slots layout (no sound, quick spin, bet size) every time I open them since they moved to HTML5?

Oh, and my favorite: What is the split of the wagering between Scandinavian players and the rest of the world do on jackpots slots? How about the split of the jackpots won?

Do you think that competition has created multi tears of casino's where it is possible to separate casino's from those who wish to simply gain by the one time or very occasional depositor, the ones who pay lip service to accepted norms and rules of operators and those who truly value the punter even if it does come at some cost to their casino?
After all, given your description of the market as far as online casinos are today there seems to be very little slowing down of brand new casino's joining the market, so they must see a profit in it

Awesome questions guys (and gals), I will be using many of these for a followup Interview I do with NetEnt. You can read the current one here:

Interview with NetEnt's Simon Hammon

At the moment, he's on vacation. I'll be tracking down Play n' Go as well. Thanks!
