The story goes like this;

I created a ‘test’ account to try 3Dice to see if I liked it.

My user name was something like ‘sdfafgw.’

I don’t see anything wrong with this I do it at all online casinos when I am checking them out and it has never caused problems before.

At 3Dice I was immediately set upon by one of the customer representatives and told something like;
“We don’t like people with funny names here.”

I explained that I won’t be long as I was just checking out their casino to see if it’s worthwhile.

This seemed to satisfy the customer representative and he/she went away.

The account was open for around two weeks I think.

I must have logged on roughly 4-5 times during this small time frame.

I was looking mainly at the video poker selection.

I was just starting to examine their table section and shortly after this I found that I could not log in.

So I contacted customer support, "Anna" I think her name was.
I kindly explained my situation and she said that I need to email support and ask them to re-open the account.

So I did and waited about 24 hours without a reply. I then decided to go back to live chat to see if they could do anything.

I was then told by Lance;
“You have to provide your actual details before we will let you look at the casino.”
**********************************************************

3Dice are the only casino that I have encountered that has ever requested this.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I place a value on my personal details.

If I were to provide my actual details before I can even look at what the casinos have to offer, half the online casinos would have them by now.

If you did this, you would be subject to relentless spam and put yourself at risk of fraud.

This is the last thing anybody wants.

It is very clear to my mind what is going on, I think this statement by 3Dice sums it up;
“We don’t like people with funny names here.”

If you ask me, “Enzo” is a funny name too. :)

I find it extremely hard to believe that they said "we dont like people with funny names here" are you paraphrasing? Even if you are I can't see them saying that. I can assure you that you will not get spam from them nor will they sell your info. Anna is the floor manager. I do not know how you even signed up with giving your name address etc but if thats the case I do not think it out of the ordinary to be asked for it. Were you depositing? If so 3dice is well within their right to know who you are.

Do you mean your username was that rubbish or your actual name? They have a responsibility to verify every account holder, so they're well within their rights to ask for ID before reopening the account.

Not sure how you think you can sign up with a casino without providing your details. As for the statement they supposedly made regarding funny names...highly unlikely.

Story seems slanted and I'm going to bet there's more to it.

3Dice is one of the few that provides honest, straightforward and friendly support, and I'll bet your story is missing some small details.

Well you know what I mean, we are speaking the same language.
They could have said something like; "Your name is silly and we don't allow that here." Or something like; "Stupid names like that are not allowed."

We are not in a court of law here, there is no need to be precise.

Do you mean your username was that rubbish or your actual name? They have a responsibility to verify every account holder, so they're well within their rights to ask for ID before reopening the account.

I'm pretty sure I made this clear in the post if you would consider reading it. :)

If you are going to accuse a casino of something then yes you have to be precise

I have to agree with Enzo ((rolls off the lips doesn't it Enzo)) and his support staff that you need a readable name

test accounts what the heck is that all about all casino's have free play you dont need a test account what you are doing is creating multiple accounts which in the casino world is in fact fraud also you will be considered a cheat

you have to email support an request mutiple accounts when a husband and a wife want to play at the same casino some allow it others dont

you will find yourself with a huge win one day if you deposit an this thread will come back an bite ya in the ass cause now you have let it out that you have multiple accounts at other casino's so when you wont be paid because of a test account an a real account think back to here

Good Luck

Cindy

The reason someone would like to have a test account with fake details is because sometimes the player is required to make a deposit within a couple of days of signing up to be eligible for the sign-up bonus. However, if the player just wants to browse game selection and by doing so doesn't want to give up his chances to claim the SUB at a later point, making a test account is the only option. One workaround would be to allow trying the games without having to enter any details at all, to avoid fake accounts being created.

The casino of course had every right to close the test account and the OP should be aware that if he later deposits into that casino with real details, his cashout might be in danger if it gets linked to the test account based on IP for example.

you say this [My user name was something like ‘sdfafgw.’] so you cant even get your confusing alias straight what makes you think they want to be bothered by your nonsense there a first class out fit deserving of way better respect than some one creating false accounts and messing up there valuable time get it right or get out of there hair

Hi Petro,

Accounts with obvious incorrect details always get closed after manual review. This is a standard procedure at 3Dice - we perform as many checks as possible - as early on as sensible.

Simply creating a new account (after the 'test' period) is made impossible by the software. (you can not easily create a second account without having to do all sorts of things - this way we avoid accidental multiple accounts plus we can prove that if a double account does exist - that it was created intentionally).

So once you are at this stage, the only way to get your account reopened is through intervention of support - its simple and easy tho and we are happy to help you with that. As Lance said (and I'm pasting from the logs here) :

Lance: your account has been closed , if you would like it back open please send all your information including your proper name and address to the supportteam email.

Also, just as a sidenote, not all casinos do double account checking continuously like 3Dice - many do it only at the time of the cashout and so if you've used this methodology at other places, the best advice would be to send them to an email explaining the situation including both your 'test' and 'final' account details. This way you wont end up with surprises when you get to cashout.

Best wishes for 2011 !

Enzo

Petro doing what your are doing will raise red flags everywhere!

Do you make a test account and then if you like said casino then make a real one? because if this is the case then you will get yourself into more trouble than its worth. Especially if your trying said casino with no deposit bonuses etc.

I don't see why you would not just make a REAL account and play in free mode at any casino, no one can force you to deposit and if its spam your worried about these can easily be handled.

As with 3Dice themselves if you where worried about spam as been mentioned above I'd been a member at 3Dice for almost 12 months if I recall without depositing and had never received 1 Email. The only times I received emails was after my first deposit, but these emails where few and far between offering bonuses and birthday messages which are welcome :)

Also I think this can only be a good thing 3Dice has done, with the other casino you have tried this at, they are probably just sitting in waiting for you to have a large cash-out and then deny it because of multiple accounts (fraud)

Cheers
Matt

new account

I have just opened a real account at 3dice (like 10 min. ago). Never been at the site, so I have only tried to play for fun. But the site looks great! Never seen better-looking games! Can`t wait to try playing with real money :)

I guess there are 'red flags' at 100s of internet casinos I have visited.
Account is a test/practice/trial whatever you would like to call it. For the purpose of looking at their software.
Never caused problems before at any casino besides 3Dice.

I caved in and opened a members account anyway.
Case is closed in my books as staff at 3Dice clearly explained themselves.

An apology wouldn't go astray IMO.

You told us support said things that they clearly didn't which is not cool.

I don't understand why anyone would open a test account. Isn't that what fun play is for? to test the games to try the software? am i missing something?:eek2:

Thats true. Its quite easy to play for fun once you have registered. I think that Petro did not want to register an account with real name etc, because he did not want to give away personal information before he knew that 3Dice was a casino he wanted to use. So he registered a test account. Witch may be a solution at some casinos.
