I just this second 'got' the 32RED Strapline/Marketing slogan...

"We're second to none..."

See, I always just assumed it was - you know - a standard bit of marketing/promotional blurb... The clever meaning completely passed me by.

I mean, I've only been playing there for about four years or so...

Is it just me that's the idiot?

LOL Slotster, that is a widely used term here in the states by the companies who think that they are the number 1 best thing that can happen to you...:D

Hmmmm.... not sure about that.
32Red are second to Ladbrokes, but ahead of everyone else.

Maybe I'm an idiot too... or is it just that's it's my birthday & I've had quite a few "lemonaides"... :D

KK

That is clever.
So some thought does go into some Casino names.

How about Zero Green Casino, "No One is better"

Or for the US market,

Casino Double Zero, "You're all round best Casino"

Nulli Secundus (Second to None) is an old British slogan that has been applied to airships and coats of arms and is the motto of one of the UK's proudest and oldest regiments the Coldstream Guards (my father's unit, which is why I'm familiar with the Latin slogan.)

Well, Second to none is a commonly used slogan, and what jetset stated was really interesting regarding it being a British Slogan.

I have to admit, that I really think 32red has got a great thing going, amazing service and really nice website!

Oooh... Based on the responses, I reckon it's not just me that didn't immediately get the clever other meaning to the strapline... Of course the commonly used "second to none" line is pretty self explanatory (cheers Jetset for the etymology!) - but I love it when there's a little bit of another thing going on with a slogan... Good to see some thought going in

I understand that I am still an idiot :D

OK I've sobered up now, 2 or 3 brain cells are working and I reckon I've sussed what you're on about...

D'oh!

I guess if you are not much of a roulette player then it would be a little too cryptic.
It is like cryptic crosswords you either get them or you don't and since you are the only One to point out how clever the slogan is perhaps you are not the idiot you think you are

Welcome to my world Slotster.

Until KK posted that pic, I still didn't get it. I'm not a roulette player, so never would have thought of that association. You are not alone Slotster. :D

Thanks KK.

It's a bit cyptic though isn't it?

I still don't understand why they went with "We're second to none..." and not "We're next to zero..."

;)

Hehe or that other well known phrase, "We are close to nothing."

I guess the idea of a slogan is that everyone gets it so maybe it is a bit too smart for their own good.
