Hi all, curious on other users experiences playing on iPad or computers and which do you prefer?

I like the ease of using iPad, but for example some things need to be played on the desktop like Battle Slots on Videoslots.com or a Free Spins reward that is not mobile-friendly, so I tend to alternate between formats. I will usually only play a select couple of games on the laptop as I get too overwhelmed with the amount of choice, so I tend to go back to iPad if not playing the Battles where the options are fewer.

Opinions on pro's and cons of both? Are mobile sites are better/worse or personal preferences and why?

Maybe you have had more luck on one or the other! Which I guess is one of my reasons to fallback on the mobile site as I have gotten lucky there before so I try and keep up the good streak:laugh:

Pretty sure there's a recent thread on this (started by Bryan maybe?) but anyway:

Nope, no phones but have used the ipad once or twice - but not the mobile version; i use the regular client through a browser (safari). So you can use your ipad and use the full casino selection of games.

I'm someone who couldn't sit at a desk and use a monitor, so I sit in my leather chair with the laptop HDMI'd to the 44" TV and slot wirelessly in style ;)

edit: twas Simmo not Bryan

Thanks for this - I've added a poll. We have talked about this before - I think years ago most people couldn't be bothered. Things are a bit different now. :p

Thanks for replies guys! And the poll is very neat too:)

Sorry for re-hashing a previous post, will have a read of the previous thread :)

Very nice setup with the TV! No, mobile is way to small and fiddly for me personally, have tried to do the desktop/full sites on my iPad and also using various browser apps like Chrome or Mozilla but find it easier just to go good old Safari with the mobile site that loads with the couple of sites I tend to favour, like Videoslots or Guts. Though often some games have trouble loading though offered on mobile platform mainly Yggdrasil and some Microgaming like Sterling Silver

Desktop computer, absolutely. Gives you the best experience bar none.

Although I do play on mobile every now and then if I'm on the go, but if I have access to a computer and a choice between computer/phone, it's going to be computer 100% of the time. Not to mention that a lot of my favorite slots simply aren't available on mobile devices (yet?).

I've played just a very few times on my mobile & 7" tablet - but MUCH prefer my laptop.

I still cannot get my head round the aspect of playing slots online on a mobile or a tablet, yet certainly it is becoming more popular. I have personally heard stories of high rollers throwing a small fortune on slot games whilst on the move using their phone handset

For me as a player, a laptop or desktop is always my port of call for playing online.

However, the technology has certainly improved so that mobile gaming is becoming more and more popular. As a webmaster, this is an aspect I have to adapt to. Not just in having a mobile responsive and friendly site or sites, but also by offering content that is of use and targets those players that enjoy playing from a tablet or phone.

I am pretty sure the publicly listed companies provide a breakdown in their annual reports showing an overview of the revenue accrued from mobile gaming. No doubt this also shows a strong upward curve.

I prefer to play on my PC, but I don't necessarily mind the mobile interface. RTG seems to be really making an effort to expand the games on their mobile platform, so I only anticipate it getting better. It's nice to be able to play anytime, on the go.

We do indeed:

32Red Plc said:
"The fastest growing platform remains mobile devices and revenues derived from mobile customers increased by 71% on 2014, representing 44% of total 32Red casino revenues (2014: 32%)."

44% that is massive! Definitely the case that a very sizeable number of of players who don't frequent forums such as this one, like to play on their hand held devices. Certainly goes against the voting on this poll.

I guess most of us are still stuck in 2000 and the advent of WAP enabled phones LOL :D

Its because our husbands gamble on the bench at the mall while they wait for us to finish shopping

Desktop PC is a clear no. 1 for me. Laptop comes second. Tablet/phone only if those two are not available.

Casino/poker games are entertainment. Small screens just lack the fun of it.

I think so too, i tried one time on my iPhone and never again, too small! I don't have a desktop so laptop is my only option and it does the job for me though slowly as it is a bit old

My iPad is a big screen version and I do enjoy the ease of just playing while relaxing on the deckchairs out the back or on the couch :)

Lol, honestly doesnt surprise me - 9 of 10 friends are always phone in hand, even at gatherings, playing candy crush, so spining seems logical to me.

I'm weird - I prefer to you know, talk to people when I'm with them. :D

Keep in mind that the average Casinomeister member is far older than the average player of the casinos. Older gamblers usually prefer their computers/laptops compared to younger players that are predominantly playing on their mobile devices. This is also the reason why the market for mobile is growing much faster.

For me it's clearly computer/laptop, too. I don't like to play on my phone, tablet is okay though.

Agreed, I think it's a generational thing, tagged with tech savvy/tech geek.

I've friends whove fine computers/laptops, opting to use their phones for gaming and facebook..one I guess for covenience and two, 'well, it's what we do' (ie my friend, whos a mom, simply because shes in a house of teens and phones are just what you use

I`m young and like to use my phone and tablet but used to choose laptop while playing.. dont know why, its hard to explain)
