IP address banned

Hey!

I'm getting a strange error saying that my IP address is banned if I log in via my computer, is anyone else experiencing this?

Strange, I'm not sharing my Internet with anyone else, so I find it strange it's been banned.

Maybe someone can look in the log history and let me know why it's been banned in the morning.

in the meantime - are you sing perhaps safari? It used to have a dynamic IP and cast me all around the globe choosing international IPS willy-nilly; it had the system banning me once upon a time so I had to change browsers; just a thought

I seem to remember a few weeks back not being able to access the site, even though when I checked on the "is it down" website, CM was running fine, so I tried all the techy solutions available to me i.e. delete cookies and internet history, but still no luck.

In the end I had to do something really techy and change my dns proxy server [or something similar] and switch it to use google's as default, and viola I could access CM again.

It was a different message though 'this site cannot be reached' rather than one saying the IP address is banned, never know though it might help, I always screen shot my settings before I change any, just in case it makes things worse

Actually, I found it in the back end, and there is no reason given why it was banned. So it may have been a hold over from the old vBulletin software. Removing it now so you won't have this problem anymore.
