Intertops... Low-rollers not welcome!

I've given this place lots of business since the legislation came down, but they just don't seem happy with getting my donations at $50,$75, or $100.00 at a time. The only avenue for depositing with them for me is with Western Union, and now last week they told me that from now on deposits with WU will be set a a minimum of $200.00. After making some efforts to reason with them that this could bring an end to my donations, they simply refused to budge on the issue. Guess they don't need my business.

Why in the world would they care if WU deposits were < $200? It's not like they're paying the fees. It's also not like they're excerting any "real" manpower to collect these fees.

Are they planning on paying the $40 in fees if one deposits $200+? If not, they can take their casino and shove it....well, you know where ;)

They must be paying a fee IMO else why would they do it? It doesn't make sense to ban low-rollers as they often turn into higher rollers as time goes by. Strange. I'll try and find out on Tuesday.

Well that's their excuse Simmo! They say that they have to pay fees also on the pick-up, but I highly doubt that it could be enough to warrant such a policy as this. I ended up telling them to close the account permenantly... so it's bye bye Microgaming for me! There are some good things I can say about this casino though. Payments were always on time, and the support is pretty good, and mostly I like the fact that they didn't run scared when the legislation came down like all the other MG casinos as far as New Yorkers are concerned.

AFAIK, there is no fee to pick up a normal WU transfer, either online or off. It's not like they've setup a business account to collect the transfers, as the receiver information is different each and every time someone sends a transfer.

IMO, they're either just lazy, or they don't appreciate the regular low-roller "donations". They're just after the medium to large size whales. It's ass-backwards if you ask me.

FYI, here's the relevant part of the response from my contact at Intertops:

Intertops has to pay a fee for
picking up Western Union deposits, this fee makes it uneconomical to allow
deposits smaller then $200.
