International Wire Transfer Query

So I've made two international wire transfer withdrawals from a Casinomeister accredited casino in the last few weeks due to the limit on withdrawal amounts.

The first payment was approved and processed on a Tuesday and in my UK bank account by Thursday morning.

My second was approved/processed on Monday and the funds still haven't reached my account.

I've asked the casino to check that I didn't accidentally give them different bank details for the second withdrawal and they have confirmed that they match. They advise it can take 5-10 working days.

All fair enough, no problem with what they've done or advised but am slightly on edge as its a reasonably large sum and I can't quite understand how there can be such a difference in times for both payments considering they're going via the same method from the same source to the same destination.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Should I be concerned the funds have got lost? If so, what should I do? Or is this simply the nature of international wire transfers?

Very often it depends of the corresponding bank, maybe you got lucky the first time. No worries, I think all will be fine 5-10 days is normal period for such transfers.

It depends a lot on which country the wire is being sent from and what time it was approved. For example our Maltese bank processes wire transfers up to 11am for international and 1pm for SEPA payments. If it was approved later in the day it may be that it was not processed until Tuesday.

Cheers,

Ben

you will probably find the funds arrive tomorrow. Take william hill for example they send payments at 11pm and if I withdrew a Monday it would normally be in my bank a Wednesday morning. But sometimes its the Thursday before it arrives. It all depends on how soon funds leave the site as processed often means its confirmed but doesn't actually mean its been sent till a certain time of day. Id wait till at least Friday then worry if you haven't received it.

Thanks all for your comments.

As it stands, I still haven't received the funds but am heartened by the lack of general concern in your posts!

It's an accredited casino but i'm not sure where they do the processing from so I can't really comment on that but they've told me they'll start looking into it tomorrow if it doesn't show up.

It would really help me if I knew which method it would hit my account - the last payment came in as CHAPS which can be at any time during the day but I wonder if its going to come in via BACS which would explain the delay a bit and i'd know it would only come in first thing in the morning.

Think i'd have preferred the first payment to take the time, its been driving me crazy waiting these last few weeks!

Have you tried phoning their uk number to check on the withdrawal. I would imagine its taking its time as withdrawal gets processed day after its approved so would have been Tuesday so might be tomorrow before you get it. But im not sure if the withdrawal goes straight from them or if it goes elsewhere to get sent which would cause delay. Best bet would be to phone them and check everything is okay as uk numbers a free phone number.

I have, spoken with them a few times.

They've confirmed that the account details on both my withdrawals match (was concerned i might have made a typo on the second), they say it can take up to ten working days but that it should be with me by tomorrow, at which point, if it isn't, they'll investigate.

Usually, my experience of "up to x days" in a variety of industries is the max it will take but most are well before that which is, i think, one of the reasons i've been concerned - the second being the huge difference in time between payouts one and two reaching me.

Don't get me wrong, AG have always been great to deal with and I'm not suggesting they've done anything incorrect - just that i'm not familiar with these kinds of international payments and processors so I need to get a feel for what to expect.

Most of my past wins were small enough to go as a refund via my card but this was my largest win on any site so its something i look forward to receiving!
