These paragraphs are particularly scum like.

"He called us on the phone the year he had lost over $200,000 and asked if we could help with the costs of his mother's funeral. In a teary plea he admitted that he was flat busted. The Indian executive loved to use this story as an example of his humanitarianism. He covered the funeral costs."

Who is Jenny. Oh, your daughter, well Jenny goes to school across the street from this park, and remember I always gets me monies. A boom of laughter filled the office. This routine served as a favorite source of entertainment for the casino employees. However, the gag was all to serious. Jim's routine worked. It worked quickly and it worked every time. I had heard about it but this was the first time I was in the room when Robert made six of these phone calls. Two of the gamblers called and wired the money in within thirty minutes.

One of the big reasons why regulation is very necessary and gamblers alike should form together to stop spending at these places. Money is the only place they can be hurt.

    Tons Of Comments

Any visitor of this forum take your time and read that article.. Is worth every letter in there.

Just by reading the first paragraph I new which casino he was referring to. I never thought he will have the courage to named them at the end. You can find one of them on the Meister's Rouge list.

    Comments

    1) Costa Rica is nice.. .Yes is true with $20 you can bribe any cop around here. However he speaks of white men in the country. Costa Rica is moslty white. Not Blonde with green eyes, but he speaks as if "white men" are the americans with money... nothing important.. but anyways... Costa Rica is full of prostitution and del Rey is the typical bar where Americans go to get their power rushes with dollars, drugs, alcohol and beatiful women for $100 a pop.

    2) Casinos like the ones he mentioned are exactly the ones who give our country the most awful reputation. On a recent conversation with my former boss, we were talking about jurisdictions, ecogra and all that stuff. Is true, companies who have leave a mark on the industry like CRIS, Bodog, Absolute poker, Ultimate bet, SBG, BOS, Mainstreet Vegas Group, Hollywood, Sportsbook, Igotgaming, Doyles, PokerStars, Millenium etc. all of them located in Costa Rica have built their reputation and loyal customers clientele due to 100% good service and professional attitude. These people don't need a logo from a watchdog or a jurisdiction. They have proven that they are honest, professional and no doubt they will always be the leaders.

    3) This guy has balls!! And huge.. I know the operation he is talking about. And those indian guys are no joke. Is really a big operation, they run several books and several casinos. Its a shame that people won't learn about who they do business with prior depositing. If I was him, I will be more careful of what he writes. I don't need to give you details, believe me that working for several years in the industry in this country gives you a huge vision on how things are done in some places. The scams and stories you hear with credit cards, transfers, bonuses and payouts are endless. However I am sure that every day the customer is more aware of this, and as a matter of fact a lot of people here in this great country are working hard to make sure that what matters the most is the service given to the customer. Investing funds and efforts on scamming people takes a business directly to a hole.

I don't know much about Bodog.. but that is the live example of a business run properly. I honestly dislike Mr. Ayre with him appearing on every @%@ news only to advertise his site, never the less back in the day you will here about a little book called Bodog... Now days you see that honest, professional and loyal service have made them what they are today. In addition to the billions of $$$ spent on marketing.

Any ways.. amazing article. Some comments about Costa Rica are way too extreme.. but it was worth reading it. I am thinking on sending a link to that article to customer service of that company..jjajaja just kidding, they know what they are doing.

    Interesting Read!!
As I read Carl's blog, there were times, I would have sweared it was mine. Most of what he wrote was 100% true, espessally as he writes about Costa Rica. Some of what he writes about the casino must be taken with a grain of salt. I do not believe that I knew this person. "Robert" left the casino shortly after I had arrived there, but I did hear that he did come back after I left. I also heard he is no longer their again. I did personally see Robert/Jim make 2 of those so called calls, and both were made as jokes, and that was what the laughter was about. One of those players owed the casino inexcess of a million dollars. He would call daily hundreds of times a day begging for money to play. "Jim" would make him jump through hoops before giving him more bonus money.(He once had the guy say he was sleeping with farm animals, before giving him 1000 to play with.) So I am sure threats were made, but they were never made where there was ever a chance of recovery. There were also times when a player would cash out and than charge back, that serious verbal threats were made, but these were only verbal, and you must remember that this person had just stole from us.
The casino life in Costa Rica was a very strange experience in my life. Those of you who know me also know I only comment from the period I was there. I also am not associated with any casino in any way so I am not trying to protect anybody either. I am still in contact with people in Costa Rica, and am pretty sure that they don't even monitor this board anymore.

    mmmmm

First of all I dont believe their calls were jokes..

I am not saying they have ever taken a thread to the next step, however I am sure.. 1000% they keep reading the meisters forum.

Everyone in the business knows how things work. I am a new member to the forum, however not new to the site. This site has a strong impact on the industry, so please dont dare to say is never monitored.

I am sure that most casinos black listed in this incredible site have felt their business affected for not complying to honest and professional standards.

Any way, I disagree with your comment about of Costa Rica. There is tons of prostitution, drugs, casinos and awful things as any other country. If you lived here and were a manager for them I am sure you either lived in Escazu, Santa Ana, Sabana Sur or Heredia and you know that there is a lot of this country to admire. Beatiful beaches, mountains, women, friendly people and peaceful atmosphere. Our roads, drug problems and corruption are another subject

This would probably be the most significant quote if true. Remember this is a big software provider:
The rest is nothing new, though perhaps required reading for anyone ever tempted to have sympathy with on-line casinos (yes there are good and bad, but the good are still exploiting compulsive gamblers to make a fortune).

I allways was sure that it depends on casino and not on your luck if you win or not. Anytime I win at some casino, I have to pay back until they let me win again. It's just an example. Or if you are a new sign-up, you usually win at first.. etc. So much about Lady Luck and swingsaround...

And yes, it's scary. I believe those threatenings could be executed...

I only had time to briefly scan the blog. It has thoroughly creeped me out. In fact it literally makes me want to :puke:

Anyone finds out more about 'Hutton' (I'm sorry I'm not so savvy that I know who this is) and about that damn 'button' we all had suspicions of, please post.

Did this blogger write the entire blog (most of it true) with sole intent of scaring us all to death about 'the button' (possibly untrue). In other words, is it a hoax?

And now I've got to head out to the real world to work.

Sorry, but ANY threat to ANY degree is still a threat, doesn't matter if they were made as a joke. And considering where these specific ones originated from, I'd say to NEVER take one with a grain of salt!!! Gawd!!!!

So which casinos have the win switch and which definitely don't?

Is it safe to say Crypto and MG don't? Is any assumption safe?

Ok - so that's one employee of a casino, that reckons there is a 'win switch' - RTG. Naturally, we're taking this chap at his word - and not claiming it to be absolute fact. Still, the suggestion is there for this software provider. What disturbed me is the way it was mentioned in passing, as if it's just an established fact, this is what casino's do. This is how an employee with knowledge would talk about it were it true - and that scares the life out of me!

Ok - Step up disgruntled Microgaming and Crypto employees please! I want to know if they've got them too! :eek2:

That's a bummer. I like some of the RTGs, but if some guy in Costa Rica is sitting there with a finger on a switch watching me play I could let them go.
