Casinos cheat because they CAN, and it's profitable. Let's can the "but they don't need to so why would they" nonsense. They cheat because can get away with it.

Playtech cheats.

Boss Media cheats.

Microgaming certainly cheatED, but they may have pulled themselves together since the OCA debacle. Big "maybe" on that one, but the Viper blackjack is a very different kettle of fish in my experience to that idiot 80% return slot machine masquerading as a "single deck" two or three years ago.

RTG maybe DOESN'T cheat - the irony there being that most of the licensees are so inept and crooked that players end up cheated anyway!

Cryptologic MAYBE doesn't cheat.

Random Logic MAYBE doesn't cheat.

The exact nature of cheating will probably never come to light: is it "account" based? Is it "time of day" based? Is "rotational", dealing the gaffed game to an always-rotating selection of accounts?

Whatever. Casinos cheat. If you think otherwise, you are a sucker with your head up your ass. My head came out of my ass some time ago.

EDIT: Caveat, before Bryan jumps on me: all the above is my own unsubstantiated and unsubstantiatable opinion, based on several years of experience and several godzillion hands of blackjack played at cheating casinos.

God, is THAT why it's so dark and smelly? Damn, and I thought I just needed to turn on a lamp and do some housework. :lol:

And if they are cheating, well, it's working in my favor. I'm up 4 grand just over the past couple of months. (And yes, even after taking my losses/deposits out.) If this is cheating then, by god, you low-life rip-off artists better come rape me some more!

Of course, all I'll mainly play is BJ with the occasional 20.00 on a slot machine or some other entirely chance-based game, but over all I play smart and, wow, when I do that, I don't feel like I'm getting cheated at all! As a matter of fact, when I don't screw up and believe I can do even better, I tend to profit on most casinos I play.

So, if they're all cheaters, then how do you figure that I, and lots of others, actually profit from gambling? Do you really think we're just lucky on casino after casino?

I'm not antagonizing you, just curious as to how you rectify that in your head.

Just like some people strongly believe the online casinos cheated. I believe otherwise.
I've played online for only 14 months. Of course my experience is rather limited, still I can't find any foul play on most major software such as RTG, MG, playtech, cryptologic or BM. Even a software company with a questionable repuation such as IGM deals a random games nowadays IMO.
The only software I don't have faith with is Icrystal.
Most time I flat bet so I have no idea whether they change the odds based on bet or not. My records can only tell me that they do deal a random game with flat betting.
My biggest concern is the payment. With so many casinos turn roguish daily, I'd say intercasino is way better than those thugs.
Just my 2 cents.

I have played just about every game of blackjack that there is on the internet, just from my experience I would say the following are the best-

RTG(yeah I know )
Cryptologic
Boss Media(sometimes)

the worst are

Casino-On-Net
Microgaming(I haven't tried their new software, and I will not)
and many other proprietary software games

At both cryptologic and bossmedia, there were times when I felt like i was being cheated, and it seemed to be in patterns. I have not got the resources to prove it so I let it be, I just don't play there.


Casino-on-net, what more do I need to say, they suck!!!!!
microgaming - not once did I ever win a dime


I would suspect that there may be some sort of back door into the software that allows manipulation of the odds with some of these companies out there, as a player you just gotta be careful, cash out when you are ahead and back out when you are losing simple as that.
