Why don't the majority of casinos that accept Canadian players offer Instadebit as a deposit and withdrawal method? It's by far the easiest way for us Canucks to deposit, isn't that a major consideration when it comes to choosing banking methods? We also feel more comfortable using it since it's a Canadian company.

I also noticed that some casinos allow it as a deposit method, but not for withdrawals, what's the reasoning there?

I know there are other methods available to us, but none are as simple to use and most have fees associated with them.

I've played at most of the Accredited casinos (or at least one from each group) here that accept Instadebit. It's just easier to try out the casino at the drop of a hat when that method is available.

I would like to play at 3Dice and 32Red for example, and I may some day use a different method to do so, but I would have already signed up and played there if they had ID as a banking method.

Only Canadians can use it now, but we did spend almost $14 billion on gov't regulated gambling last year, and who knows how much online. Hint, nudge, poke ;)

 I completely agree. I would play a LOT at 32red and 3dice if they took Instadebit. As it stands, I only get to play there now when I withdraw to moneybookers. I refuse to pay fees and go through the hassles to fund when I have an easy, free, and immediate way to do so.

how do you fund moneybookers?

Credit Card or wire transfer from your bank account. I refuse to gamble using my credit cards, and the wire transfer is just a huge PITA. Plus there is always fees to withdraw with moneybookers - I withdrew using the wire transfer and they charged me like $5 and then my bank charged me $25! Having them send you a cheque is much cheaper, under $3 the last time I did it and no nasty bank fees.

I also use Moneybookers, for withdrawals anyway. As Jenn said, cheques are very cheap....they have a max cost of about $4.25. Doesn't matter if it's for $100 or $1000.

I guess you guys like Instadebit because you can fund it from your bank account, but as Jenn refuses to use credit cards to gamble, I refuse to tie a bank account into anything gambling related, lol.

I use the prepaid Visa from Moneymart (for deposits and withdrawals). Load from $10 up to $10K on it....and it's accepted everywhere (God, I sound like an ad, lol). Best part though is that 32Red refunds my cashouts straight back to it, and they are back on the card in under 48 hrs from time of withdrawal. Go to the bank machine and withdraw my cash. I haven't done it myself as yet, but I believe that Jasminebed had a withdrawal from 3Dice refunded back to hers (same card as mine) and it was back on the card in about 3 days. So still faster than waiting for a cheque, etc.

The other thing I like is the fact that it helps me to control my gambling budget. If I put say $60 on it to play...once that money is gone...no funding from my bank account, no chasing losses....it's gone. Unless I actually wanted to get ready and go out to load more funds on. Which in most cases you wouldn't bother.

I personally think it's the best thing since sliced bread as far as online gaming goes...but I understand that I guess others prefer the convenience of funding from their bank accounts without having to leave home. For me, playing is something I plan ahead of time...maybe once a week. So a prepaid card is good. But for someone who plays spur of the moment, and more often, I could see the need for something faster and more convenient.

Just thought I'd mention it. :)

I've actually been using ecocard lately and so far they've been pretty good, they do charge a fee however, but they're a lot faster than they used to be. I also use UseMyBank, and JF recently added an Instant Banking feature that seems ok, I tried it once, and the money was in my casino account right away, but it took them over a week to withdraw it from my bank which I found strange.

That's good from your point of view, but from the casinos point of view, you'd think they would want to make it easier for people to chase losses, or just deposit more because they want to keep playing that night without having to go out and load funds.

It's just like B&M casinos having debit machines, they are there to make it much easier to grab more money and keep playing. They'll even line up 10 or more so you don't have to wait in line. If people had to leave the casino to get more money, profits would decrease by a huge amount.

I know everyone has their personal preferences, but I'm trying to look at it more from a casino operator point of view. Why wouldn't you want to add a method that makes it easier for people to start and continue playing at the casino?

If you don't verify with Instadebit you cannot exceed 200 bucks a week in casino deposits as well instadebit can be used to make other purchases I still haven't looked into this because it could lead me to buying somthing dumb which I do have a tendency to do (think home shopping network gizmos that are 99% plastic and break after a week) (BUT THEY SURE WORK COOL FOR THAT WEEK!!!)

Apparently they were having issues getting it integrated into their system, but I just checked today and 32Red now has Instadebit!

Thanks for listening 32Red. Any other casinos care to make it easier (and cheaper) for Canadians to deposit and withdraw? ;)

Yay!

I use Instadebit all the time...!

Verifying usually takes about a week and is as simple as looking in your bank for the tiny deposit they make to your account....usually $0.03 to $0.60.

I deposit through my bank via Poli... Then withdraw to Instadebit from casino....Then withdraw from Instadebit to my bank and it's there two days later!

Even if I deposit to a casino via CC or Ukash i can still withdraw to instadebit if I want and it's normally there within a few hours if the casino flushes withdraws!:D

Cheers
Gremmy

My only means of deposit is instadebit. The only time i do use moneybookers is when the casino does not pay back to instadebit. So thanks 32red, i am at this moment depositing and playing. Now 3dice its your turn.:notworthy

well Instadebit works great at 32red - beside that i already lost more then before  - but i can never have it working at Dash, Golden Lounge, NedPlay. Anyone is having the same issue?

I was told they will be adding it to their other casinos soon, along with other currency options.

Just an FYI, 32red is unable to process withdrawls to Instadebit as of yet. They are working on it. They wanted to do a wire transfer, but I refuse to do that as my bank charges huge fees for wires and being a low roller most of my withdrawls so aren't worth paying fees for... They have agreed to send it to my moneybookers. It has caused a bit of a delay, I withdrew on Friday night, but with it being the weekend I will still get my money faster than I would have at the other MG's I play at (I should be getting it today).

Just ensure if depositing via Instadebit for the time being that you have another withdrawl option ready to go! Hopefully it's fixed soon.
