I found Mavins post to be from the heart and thank her for having the guts to post instead of some hit and run post.

This is a great forum with wonderful people who have been around along time and know their gaming chit, its a good place for newbies to learn from our mistakes and not repeat them. Its not good to see bickering and petty high school antics, I left that shit along time ago as most of you have.

If you dont like what Mavin has to say, hell thats what the ignore feature is for, use it

The 'great' thing about this site can be summed up by 'Chaytons' post and the 'not so great' thing can be summed up in 'Mrracetrack's' post.

Chayton's the type of bloke you could take to the roughest pub in LA London Sydney, or my favourite watering-hole in Dublin. (Ireland) and have an absolute ball. You wouldn't even need a gun.

Others could pick a fight with Santa or at a kindergarden meet. Trouble is most of these guys hunt in a pack and no matter what crazy stuff they say it is followed by a thousand 'thanks' from the adoring pack members.

Hang on a minute! I've just worked it out. This site is a actually a really good post-card of life. You have your mates and you have those who you would rather avoid at all costs. These real life tough guys (usually 5' 2") have the most tatoos, the biggest Harley and the loudest voice.
(The only worry Mavinis if you stay at this site you can't avoid them as you can in real life.)

So hang in Mavin because as in real life there are hurtfull posters here but also many fantastic people like the one's who gave me so much love when my daughter was in hospital.

By the way she's had her last check up and she's fighting fit. Thanks again.

I think that suggesting that members here can be led by the nose or need a champion/spokesman could be construed as an implication that they lack a mind and will of their own.

That is definitely not the case at Casinomeister in my experience.

Members have their own views which may agree with another member's on an issue (hence the thanks for his or her insight and perspective - this is quite different from the 'high fiving' implied in the above post) On another occasion they may disagree and debate, as is their right.

This is not forming 'packs' against others - a misperception that seems to arise all too often but is in my opinion wrong.

About the snowball fights, all I can say is growing up in Ajo, which is a small mining town on the fringes of earth and hell, we never had any real snow, I remember a couple times seeing it falling, only to vanish just before landing on the ground. So we had no snowball fights, instead ours was rock fights, seriously, I don't recommend it.
