OK I will get back to you soon.

exactly the same as the ones above

Getting tons of spam from this affiliate, for various shit.

You say you have sorted them but you clearly haven't as some of the links from earlier in the thread are still working.
Close the affiliates account, redirect his links to a 404. Simple, and if they are caught before payment, if they register a new affiliate account, and it happens again, they will sharp stop if they know they aren't getting paid.

Well done on being the only rep to reply to the thread though, at least you are trying to do something :)

It might seem they come on to help but thats about it, 2 weeks ago I was told I get back to you soon Well only thing I have heard is more spam coming in,

And your right, I am getting various shit from the sender / company, I know its only emails but I got all this shit stored and I am building up a case, If casumo will not spill the beans to us who is behind them than surely one of theses company's that are trying to stop the shit will be interested,

And casumo has to pay someone to them links, So they canot deny who is behind them

A casino sold these addresses too as the email I use is ONLY for casinos (well amazon too but sure they haven't sold them to shitty affiliates), it has never been put online anywhere apart from casino sign ups.

Casinos are responsible for their affiliates so it should be in their interests to stop the spam.

King casino is another the affiliate promotes, a lot!

If the casino reps can't get a grip, maybe the ICO will. The ICO has already launched an investigation, and from their opening shot it's clear they can FORCE the affiliate programs to divulge the personal details of offending affiliates who send this to UK players.

Affiliate programs should be able to stop this dead, but they tend to do as little as possible, the "slap on the wrist" approach, but the affiliate still gets to keep the money they made from the spam, and often ignores the polite request to stop spamming.

The ICO on the other hand, can fine these affiliates up to £500,000 which for most is probably WORSE than having their account closed and payments confiscated.

Most of these spammers are big affiliates as they spam for numerous brands, and may well not care too much if they lose just one or two.

Whilst it seems the ICO is currently focussing on SMS spam, they will no doubt look into email spam in due course.

What they should do is fine the casino the £500k as well as the affiliate, as that way they might actually do something about it.
Good luck getting some guy in china to pay a fine to a uk body for spamming.

That's the problem the ICO will have to face. In the end, they will realise that the viable solution is to go after the casinos that are spamming the UK market. This will at least make the otherwise reputable and UK licensed casinos take proper responsibility for the third parties they engage for marketing. It is one thing the ICO do understand, the current system is not fit for purpose because it's hard to define where responsibility lies when an affiliate is doing the spamming, and their aim is to prevent certain marketing structures from "falling between the cracks" in the current regulations.

If the ICO have any sense, they will realise that if they go after affiliates, the worst offenders are likely to be out of reach because they are knowingly breaking all the rules, and so will have made sure to be located in a safe jurisdiction well out of the reach of the ICO. Going after the casinos will place the responsibility on them to police their affiliates and other marketing contractors, and the threat of a £500,000 fine for failing to act would probably mean the end of the weak "slap on the wrist" approach to affiliates, or the even worse "turning a blind eye because they bring in substantial traffic".

Thats exactly right, maybe remove the license until the spam has been stopped, bet the casinos would shit themselves then and manage to stop it instantly.

At the moment they couldn't give a stuff about it, look at Casumo in this thread, all the right words, but takes a few minutes to close an affiliate account. Weeks later they are still spamming. The haven't closed the account because they are happy with the extra customers even though its spam, and legit affiliates are at a disadvantage. Just using Casumo as an example as they have been active in the thread, but by no means are the only ones to do the exact same thing.

Skybet have absolutely zero tolerance to spam, I've reported spam twice to them and within 15 minutes the links go to 404's. Thats how it should be done, and no reason why it shouldn't be by all casinos.

I forwarded the email to casumo before i saw this thread, wonder if I get a reply.

This is not the same affiliate as spintee's I will tell the Affiliate to remove the email from the list, just send me you address to PM.

For all reference we don't sell or give the email database to any of our Affiliates. They have their own sources and databases.

BTW spintee I thought that spam from the Affiliate stopped and I didn't get the notification that you are still getting the spam email.

For all: If you are getting the SPAM email from Affiliates, just send me the Affiliate ID and your username or email to DM so I can sort it out.

Thank you all for understanding.

I received one on the 3rd I think of a different aff, And a few days later by the same person as before, Since than all seems to be ok,

I know you say that you do not give aff's email or dresses but the thing is there are still spamming us making your site look bad, Also why would you want theses people to promote you, They obvious got theses emails from some corrupt source and by them sending the emails it looks as if you do not mind how they received such info,

The Affiliates needs some time to remove the emails, I notify the other 2 Affiliates to remove your email as well.

We are trying to work closely with Affiliates so this kind of things not happen, but as you may know we cannot control what they do 100%.

It is the same affiliate or there are links between them, as the email is almost identical, with the same 'YOU HAVE BEEN PAID' subject line, and same type of made up address, whats the chances different affiliates would photoshop to make the same image and also use the same subject, and change the sender name to Casumo Casino

Why not close the affiliates account, they are in breach of your terms and conditions? As I said the links are still working from earlier in the thread so you are obviously happy for the affiliate to spam people and not take action against them.

6.2 The Affiliate hereby undertakes, represents and warrants that:
(e) that it will not generate traffic to the Casumo Website by illegal or fraudulent activity, particularly but not limited to by:
(i) sending spam;

6.3 The Company reserves the right to freeze the Affiliates account and/or deduct money from the Affiliate if any traffic is deemed to have been referred through fraudulent means or in breach of the terms and conditions of the Agreement.

No mention of any terms and conditions on the advert is a clear breach of the UKGC rules, and the significant terms aren't 1 click away. That alone should be enough for you to suspend the account at least.

Not pointing directly at cusmo it self, BUT if we as players breached a term such as max bet or disallowed games, We will soon see our payments disappear or account closed, But as soon as the casino making money from bent rules they turn a blind eye???

They canot have it both ways or when it suits them, But not only are affilates getting away with it there actually breaking U.K regs rules as well,

ho hum, still getting spam from the same affiliate, obviously Casumo are happy to get customers from spam lists.

Clearly Casumo are not living up to the accredited astandards set here.

Must not spam, and must take appropriate actions against any affiliates or any third parties who do spam.

So giving these affiliates an email address and tell them that this guy you can't spam because he's a member at Casinomeister?:eek2:

I haven't read this thread before so I didn't know they were doing that. Really bad. It's like when I got sms for a casino I wasn't a member at and they asked for my phone number so they could tell the guy to not send me sms. Idiots.

I know I read something from SIGMA. They talked about affiliates and obviously affiliates who are sending emails and phone spam are a separate cathegory. They are living on only sending that kind of spam. Nice!

Obviously Casumo are condoning spam and that was a disappointment to read.

thats the info for the sspam today, the link doesn't 404 and is the same as the one in post 19, from the 29th October, which clearly shows Casumo are happy to work with spamming twats, who take no notice of their affiliate managers, if they bothered to tell them to stop spamming.

Wouldn't it be smarter to remove the affiliates? That way you won't get any complaint.
That is what you're suppose to do and what we expect. That is what ''good'' casinos do.
