Just recently started playing at Inetbet again. All is going well and had a few decent wins. Played it back of course! Enjoying it so far! :D

This is just a heads up for Inet.....

The tourneys won't work for me and I keep getting an error. This has only started tonight.
Is this on the casino's side or mine? I'm unsure?
Screeny below.

Silverlight is a Microsoft product, and is installed as a plug in to Internet Explorer. Quite what it is doing throwing an error in this situation is baffling, as the casino uses Flash. Silverlight is also an optional product, installed on demand when required. Some internet streaming services use it.

You could download the latest version for your OS from Microsoft, uninstall the current one, and install the latest. You can also do the same with Flash, which is an Adobe product.

I have not seen any new Microsoft updates recently, but today is Tuesday (update release day), and they may have already reached your PC and been automatically installed. It is possible that recent Microsoft updates are responsible for creating this problem.

RTG Tourneys have always run on silverlight(well as long as I have been playing anyway.) AFAIK.:D
No idea what Silverlight is or does? I know when I installed my first RTG and tried to go to a tournament I had to install Silverlight before they would work.
I'm using Chrome and not IE as I hate IE with a passion.
Tournaments were working fine yesterday but today they decided to throw this error at me and even if I click 'yes' or 'no' on the error message nothing happens but a white screen and my CPU running at 90%.
So no idea what is happening or if it is on Inet's side or mine?

I didn't expect that. I thought Silverlight was for streaming, whereas the tournaments would be interactive, hence Flash. I am further surprised that the tournament games are not even on the same software as the main ones, which use Flash. It suggests they are doing something different to you playing the game locally, with the server sending you results. It is more like the entire game is rendered on the server, with you being streamed a "movie" of the game itself, rather than packets of data for local rendering into a view of the game.

Silverlight has caused trouble before, but mainly to users of TV catch-up services over the internet. The BBC use Adobe AIR instead, which means MORE trouble:mad: This is where I have encountered Silverlight errors before, and where the suggestion to uninstall and reinstall comes from.

I wrote to Inet and got this response when I asked them to point Emily Hanson to this thread and make her aware that I PM'd her.....
Dear xxxxxxx
If there is an error can you please send it over to support so we may look into it.
We do not look at Casinomeister so cannot assist.
Also please add your account name.
Thank you.
Kind regards
CSR James

I sent them the error screenshot and an explanation of the problem.

I just tried tournaments on CW and they worked fine. So must be an Inet issue. Are any other members having any issues with the tourneys?

Support don't look here, but why be so abrupt and uncooperative. They weren't asked to look here, but pass the information to their rep who DOES look here. They could have explained it better, that it would be QUICKER to send them the screenshot, rather than wait whilst the message is passed over, and eventually looked into by Emily. This is the kind of reply that generates these complaints about "rude CS at iNetBet". It's not so much rude, but a "jobsworth" attitude to requests from more knowledgeable players, and in some instances this can even lead to accusations that CS are deliberately lying, since if you interpret "they" to mean iNetBet as a whole, rather than the CS department, it IS a "lie", as any CM member will realise straight away.

It is also possible that it won't be any quicker, as iNetBet have this intermittent problem of either not receiving image files, or not being able to open them. Unlike posting a screenshot here, email will not "autosize" anything that falls outside of acceptable limits.

If it doesn't happen elsewhere under the same conditions, it has to be an issue with the iNetBet software, rather than Silverlight. The solution may be to uninstall and reinstall the casino.

That depends on when you get the errormessage?
I played a tournament there yesterday with no problem, and I had no problem getting in to the
page for the tournaments today either.
Try to reinstall Silverlight, and the casino, and see if that can help you.

I will try to re-install both the casino and Silverlight and see if that helps.
I wrote back to support to confirm that they had received the screenshot as I had no reply from them after I sent it. They replied that it had been passed on to technical department. So will see what it is all about if they get back to me?
I will re-install the casino and silverlight and report back here if it fixes the problem?:D

Edit. Just received this response from Inet support...

Hi xxxxxx,

We have forward your problem to RTG for them to look into. Once we have something back we will let you know.

I also did a googlesearch with your errorcode, and if you have the time there were a lot of
people having the same problem as you, and almost the same amount of solutions:p
