Inappropriate behavior warning

I was gonna to beat up Tim several times, but I still like him. He's the one that gave me the sig I use (best quote...) in a private message exchange we had once. I'll miss ya Tim.

Lojo - is a special case, I guess I should say a special nut case :).
I can't wait till he returns.

There are many kinds of people in the world! Some make you think, some make you laugh, some make you gasp:eek: What a boring world it would be if everyone was a robot! Finding the middle ground of behavior is the sticky wicket CM has taken on........and KUDOS to him for bearing it!

I was a bit shellshocked after the Caruso incident way back (old moldy history) and will get back on my game RIGHT NOW.

Well it's a beautiful day in the desert........and how about them Patriots?

Sounded like a threat suze, no surprize. Be careful with you arrogance

Not taking sides here! Just my 2 cents, if its a public forum, why not get the public to vote on it. a ban for a time frame is one thing, as time passes, but a life one, is completely different. I would say make a vote if the users were offended enough to ban Tim for life

Just my thought
The problem with voting out/in members is that the actual logged in members consist of about 1/5 of the traffic in the forum - so many people may be offended or put off by a racist/misogynist/insulting or whatever posting and not have a voice. Believe me - I take this seriously. Banishment for life is usually reserved for spammers and fraudsters. Most members who misbehave are given several warnings to include several suspensions if necessary. This forum has been in operation for nearly ten years and there are 324 banned accounts - mostly spammers and fraudsters. From these 324 only about 15 accounts are banned for abusive behaviour, just about all of them were warned more than once on what they were doing wrong. It's not rocket science on how to behave in public - and if someone is shown to the door, it's for a good reason. I think that's pretty fair.

If members really want someone to come back, then they need only to ask and I'll reconsider it. Public voting is just another drama scene we don't need.

I would call the Police
And that person will get arrested and they would see the judge in the morning.

Good idea for a new website. The forum Police!

Are your members using to much vulgar language or just bashing each other to much? Get in touch with us @ ***.theforumpolice.*** Here comes the judge.

These minor crises occur every once in a while here, and the forum always shrugs them off and continues to prosper (I'm happy to say!)

The modicum of control that the 'Meister exercises when such incidents do occur is clearly necessary, because there are a minority of members who due to self-indulgence, seeking attention or just plain bloody-mindedness are manifestly incapable of controlling their posting behaviour and consequently irritate or offend other members. Regardless of how valuable or amusing their contributions may be when all the brain cells are working efficiently.

It is not necessary to be vulgar or offensive to be noticed. And it is possible to be funny without being obnoxious or downright insulting and nasty.

Both members involved this time are repeated offenders, and I would suggest the solution is to learn from your mistakes and try a little harder to make the forum a place we can all continue to enjoy and exchange information on shared interests.

Maybe paranoid but would this be directed at myself? Seeing I am less than zero, not worthy of posting at all.

No offence intended but I was banned a few years back. Admittedly so I did deserve it.

Nope - not aimed at you at all, as the last sentence indicates and the general nature of my observations suggests.

We're all grown up people here and with maturity surely comes a measure of accepting responsibility for one's conduct, consideration for other members and personal discipline.

I don't care how amusing/racey/philosophical/enigmatic or whatever the offending poster/s are in their lucid periods - pleading drugs, depression or booze as a justification doesn't cut it when repeated aggressive or offensive behaviour toward other members here takes place imo.

In my book repeated and wilful defiance of the very easy-going requirements and moderating style here is plain arrogance and a disdain for the community.

There's a great pool of really interesting and diverse people on this forum, and I would like to think that the irrational and/or anti-social conduct of a few do not deter the many from continuing to make this place a valuable point of interaction on shared interests.

I don't see the big issue here.

If someone comes into my house and offends my friends, I'll show them the door.

If s/he keeps repeating the performance, I'll keep the door locked.

I come here to see what the various casinos are up to, casinomeister provides a place to feel the pulse of the industry.

I also come here for some light hearted banter and some of our posters have a great sense of humor. Sometimes the laughter I pick up here makes my day.

That said, I liked the banned posters, but it's a bad idea to post when drunk. In some people alcohol brings out a dark side, others just become incoherent. If you're drunk, don't post. It's that simple.

I will miss no one who uses foul language, speaks disrespectfully to other members, and makes excuses for bad behaviour. The rules are clearly stated here, and they are there so this forum CAN be enjoyable and informative for everyone. This forum should be a haven, where you know you can go and talk to people without worrying about being treated disrespectfully. There is enough drama in most peoples lives all ready, I do not need it here.

Elizabeth right you are on the drama thing. But you do have more drama online because you have many that sit & hide behind a keyboard I think than in the real World. And we are all here to meet and have some great times.

Thanks for taking the lead Bryan. I know you have a job that involves parts that are not fun for you.

I do not know Tim but I feel the need to say Lojo has been a great help to me with an issue I have had. When I was ready to quit, he showed me the way back, supported and helped me in my efforts to continue looking for answers and a "fix" to my problem. He made me see that quitting was not the way.

I have been angry and out of line myself, but would like to assure you that will not happen again.

Once again, I appreciate the use of your forum to further my education about the online gaming industry, mainly online bingo.

And... Bryan, I will take my moustache off for a smooch!! LMAO...
Sissy:eek:

Indeed! We also must remember that the industry leaders should never be so self important to impose their views upon us.

I am NOT talking about CasinoMeister. After observing here, CM has earned every kudo there is for providing a place for players to have some relief. I can't say enough for the respect I have for that.

I take issue however with folks that try to tell us who is who and what is what in this industry. I think we can figure it out for ourselves. It just PLAIN pisses me off. Have any of these (industry) people actually played at these casinos?

As a player from way back, I will make my own decisions, thank you.

At least lojo cares. Give me lojo any day.

Jetset,

Thank you needed make sure I was not balling things up. Would have tossed a thank you a few times but my options are limited.

Great things are discovered through discussions, bit heated at times like all good debates. Throw in a very culturally diverse bunch and you have a very special group minds. Posting under the influence? Well perhaps exceptions to a few.

Even the dull and ignorant have something special to say something I personally respect. The worlds stage requires tolerance and respect however; members should never be bullied around on the personal level.

Just a thought could not find any other words.

Thanks

How did I miss this thread?

Well,

I try not to use foul language on the site, but more importantly, I dont feel it's the "words" itself. I dont get offended easily unless it's a true personal attack. I too did not report the STFU post but did chat with LJ and also PM'd Lojo to ask if something was wrong because it did make me feel uneasy and bad for LJ. I would rather be called a name than to be told to "shut up", but again, Ive become numb to certain posters such as Lojo because he is more of a contributor than a threat IMHO to this site.

TimNY thing:

Dont get me wrong, I like Tim but that was out of line. I didnt even see it until he was already banned because I thought the post was regarding Black Jack. I see this in 2 ways......one part of me just saw him goofing around and not really meaning what he says and the other part thought it was just stupid to say. I guess I am numb to those words as well, not that Rich ever called me a bitch or whore lol. I just see them as words.

Overall, My opinion on namecalling:

To be honest, I would be more hurt if someone called me fat or ugly, My point is..it's not the words, it's the personal attack and if the attack is real, than that person should be banned. That doesnt mean I want to see swearing all over the place, but we need to put things in perspective as far as belittling people with other forms of abuse rather than just swear words themselves.

I trust Bryans judgment and will always back him up because I am a guest in his house and whatever he wants, I will respect. In the meantime, lets focus on positive things!

You summed it up very well Babs!
Perhaps we should all strive to be more like you. :) I have a feeling that you are one of those rare people who always sees the best in everyone. That is a very admirable trait. :notworthy

Thats really nice of you to say that BB and thank you Kakata! To a fault sometimes Im afraid. You know what my dad always said to me? (because I do take the best from people but overlook or try to justify the worst in them to a fault )

He would say "Barbara's House for the wayward boys" LMAO....he use to get crazy when I would bring home people for dinner etc... or date guys that had "divorced parents" god forbid!!! lol

No thanks needed and I wouldn't call it a fault, even though sometimes someone may take advantage of it or use it for ill gain, your good intent is what matters most. The world could use more people who have that gift! :):) We'd all be better off, I'm sure.

Just think....if that principle had been applied here, there wouldn't be a need for this thread to be started.

"Bryan's House"...if you had a party at your house with invited guests and one of your guests were offending your other guests would you not ask that guest to leave out of respect for your other guests ?

I agree. People should not jump into the party and be rude, even if they are bringing beer:oops: :
Rules should be followed and ingorance, even if bliss, is no excuse.:oops:

As far as the Bitch thing.. I am definatley one.. I have never been
insulted by the word and whenever it is directed at me I give
a heartfelt thank you and a genuine smile:D

As far as whore.. I did not bother going back and reading the posts
but I guess we all whore our selves in some ways, in a broad meaning
of the word. I look at it like others who posted: How would I want
someone to treat my Grandma?

I agree with previous members that we should all respect each other
(and like each other if possible..) we are all gamblers and humans..
It just feels better to smile than frown.

I try to cut people slack because you never know what is
going on in their lives and if this is the worst day they ever had.

Good Luck to everyone!
