Hey, sup people......those that know me remember when i first came to cm land i never ever took bonuses because i was afraid they would be used against me if i ever had a nice win. Then after seeing how many here always excepted bonus and saw how some even made money monthly by using them correctly and with accredited casinos well I became a converted believer in the bonus you could say.Well the other day i made a deposit into inet bet and went to claim one of the bonuses and when i tried i was told my account was shut down to getting bonuses and just prior to that i had one a $10 deposit from a forum contest that i wasn't allowed to get either so i had to get to the bottom of this deal and the forum where i won the chip said they were told I had won to many free chips from forum contests. If i win a chip from a forum contest doesn't that forum still pay the casino the $10, so why would they care unless theres a deposit quota attached to perks??Then I sent Inet an email asking why i couldn't redeem a bonus coupon with my deposit and their answer was because every time i make a deposit i take a bonus and thats not the spirit in how they give them????But should I make a few more deposits without a bonus they would gladly open my account back up to bonuses???Am I wrong to think this is some sneaky shady yet funny crap??

I don't think it's sneaky or shady - their prerogative to have what rules they want and at least they were up-front about it.
Funny crap? No, more like saddo crap - talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face! :(
Never mind, I'm sure there are loads of other casinos willing to give you bonuses every time. ;)

I very seldom use bonuses. I was once called a bonus abuser by a casino, to which I asked the CS, "What bonus have I abused? I don't use them. " Their reply was that I had accepted 1 free chip from them, I made a no bonus deposit and then asked what the terms were to redeem my comps. I don't play there anymore.
My question...if the casinos don't want you to take advantage of their promos, why do they offer them? I get a lot of emails every day for casinos I'm not even a member at, offering "great" deals that are sure to make me rich.
It seems to me it's a catch-22. They offer, you accept the bonus, some which have extreme WR, and then they accuse you of being a bonus abuser?
Perhaps, there is more to the story, but it seems more and more people are bringing this issue to light from a lot of different casinos.

    You must be good?

Maybe they determined you gamble for more than just entertainment, maybe you deposit too much or win too much who knows...
or maybe it's just another way for them to tell you that you are a bonus abuser but a respected casino will rarely flat out tell it like that.Sorry mr. but you are an ABUSER you cannot get a bonus.Would you like to deposit? not very attractive.

Smart casinos will first not say anything and wait until you deposit and then you see your coupon isn't working when you go into the cashier and try to get a bonus. Then you contact live chat and they give you some aspect diversion remote sense of truth explanation about how you can't get a bonus, but you will not likely ever know the real blunt reason why.

Well, so Inetbet DEFINITELY have something against players who simply "take a bonus with every deposit", and nothing more sinister. As I said before, THIS IS A FRIGGIN' RTG CASINO - this is what RTG is all about, giving players some kind of bonus with every deposit. How can they expect players to do any different while they are on RTG. I have NEVER BEFORE heard of this with ANY RTG casino till Inetbet and Club World started this off this year.

    The simple solution is this:-

    Rushmore
    Buzzluck (not for USA sadly)

Cherry Red (sister of Rushmore) and Slots Oasis.

These all still seem happy with the RTG "spirit" of players having some kind of bonus with every deposit.

It seems there is an abundance of new, and worthy, RTG casinos opening.

Rival also have this policy of expecting deposits without bonuses, and it is well known that many Microgaming casinos like to see players play outside of deposit bonus promotions.

Given all the threads about RTG slots being tighter than ever, it would be best to try other REPUTABLE RTG casinos rather than chase a return to being able to claim bonuses at InetBet.

I do not like the bit about winning too many free chips in a forum contest. This is like being told you have won too many, say, Microgaming tournaments, or Poker freerolls, and getting banned from any more. Surely when you win something like this, it is skill (poker), or at least luck & strategy. Forum contests where the free chips are simply down to luck ARE still legitimate, as a reward for playing the FORUM games. Confiscating free chips won from forum contests is punishing the player for being such an active participant in the forum and it's contests.

I have had this happen to ME too, and the result was that I scaled back my activity in the forum so that I won fewer free chips. This "punished" the owners of the forum, since I participated less, and even when they offered more opportunities and contests, I STILL decided to hang back, after all, what is the point of participating in these various forum contests only to be punished by having my prizes confiscated by the sponsoring casino.

That's stupid! Spirit of bonuses? Give me a break. Casinos have every right to determine who they give bonuses to, as long as it's not retroactive (unless in the case of fraud, which is not the same thing as "bonus abuse", see below for more on that). Why give you this nonsense about "spirit"? Just be honest - sorry, you're winning too much with our bonuses, or you're too good for us, we can't give you anymore. But don't give players crap about spirit! The spirit of a casino player is to WIN, and sometimes that means taking a bonus!

As for bonus abuse, I see CASINOS bonus abusing just as often as players!! They basically use a bonus as an excuse to void your winnings/play IF YOU WIN, but if you LOSE, then well, hah, you followed the "spirit" in which they want you to play I guess.

As others have said though, there ARE places that understand this and play fair. Stick with them, and avoid those that obviously don't want, or know how to keep, your business!

This can also be down to a complete lack of expertise in the managers. Provided the bonus is designed to be -EV, it becomes a "trap", and it is actually better to have players always take the bonus, rather than play without one.

I recall many RTG casinos even having it a rule that players MUST take a bonus with each deposit, on the grounds that so many are available, and that the only reason NOT to take a bonus was itself "bonus abuse". This is how RTG is designed, players are MEANT to be given lots of bonuses, which is why RTG have all these nasty rules about max cashouts.

Inetbet should consider moving to different software, one where bonuses are NOT so ingrained into the culture, and players do not necessarily expect that there will be some bonus on offer 24/7.

My suspicion is that this is only happening to winners, and that players losing overall will have no problem taking as many deposit, and forum, bonuses as they can.

According to InetBet philosophy, I SHOULD BE BONUS BANNED TOO, as I have taken a bonus with virtually every deposit so far, and I tend to go for the higher percentage ones, and ignore the 50% or less coupons.

I AM "bonus banned" at Club World, yet I am supposedly a VIP:confused: (This means I cannot take part in ANY of the special promotions on the website, only the generic 35% slots bonus). Oddly enough, I have deposited MORE at Club World WITHOUT bonuses as a proportion of total deposits than at InetBet. I also make BIGGER deposits at Club World, sometimes as much as $2000 in one go (with a special VIP bonus of course).

    From my records:-

I am ahead overall with Club World.
    I am behind at Inetbet

This is circumstantial evidence that being ahead overall is a factor in deciding whether to bonus ban a player, even though this is denied.

To get a better picture of this, we should look at all of us, and see whether there is an indication that only players who are ahead overall are getting the bonus ban from treatment InetBet and Club World, or whether players who deposit ONLY when taking a bonus also get bonus banned despite being behind overall.

If the casinos are being truthful, then it will be failure to play without a bonus that will lead to the bonus bans, irrespective of the player's overall position on their account.

Thanks for all the posts guys, but vinyl has it really close to the situation except the reasons can't be from winning to much as i have never cashed out from inet bet for one.It has to be that i don't deposit enough with them so they were upset because i kept winning these $10 free deposits from 2 differant casino and poker forums that run these bi-monthly contest, but as was mentioned allready these are legitimate contest and were won fair and square.I have also made deposits there but see the way i do it cuz i'm not rich is every Friday night i will make a deposit at a poker room and a casino online,i do a differant software every Fri with my casino deposit and usually a differant casino as well so my rtg deposit is about 1 time a month and it's not always inet so they were butt hurt because i guess i haven't lost enough even though i never cashed out there and they don't like me winning free chips.I say they are being very petty and will just remove them from my playlist, not that they will care because i'm not a big enough loser there...the rep even asked me if i wanted my account closed when i told her that other rtg's don't have the same spirit as hers did, how rude, lol

You probably cost them so much in administering your account that despite you never cashing out, they have made an overall LOSS on your account. It might also be down to you getting these at TWO forums, rather than just the one, however, if you are "poor", and can deposit little, you are after maximum entertainment for your meagre funds, and playing these forum contests IS within the "spirit" of the "entertainment" argument for online casinos, which they all have in their terms and conditions.

It seems that InetBet are trying to shed low depostiting customers, demonstrated by the rep asking if you wanted the account closed, an indication they definitely did NOT forsee trying to persuade you to come back if you went ahead and played elsewhere.
This is VERY uncharacteristic for the industry, what NORMALLY happens is that you find someone from "player retention" will try to persuade you NOT to quit playing. It has happened to me, even after as little as a week or two, an email asking me whether something a casino did has made me unhappy, and could they do anything to persuade me back. InetBet are doing just this very thing to me, every month or so, I get a "please come back" email from "retentions", along with a 100% coupon. I should really be "bonus banned", since often the only things I deposited with were the Casinomeister "Tempting Tuesday", and newsletter codes of 75% or more, and the free chips:D

Ironically enough (despite all the new kids on the block) Inetbet is i think the ONLY rtg casino ive ever been able to cash out from. Cherry red, rushmore, slots oasis you get so far into the bonus requirements then the switch gets hit and everything goes dead  What really amazes me with these casinos is thatthey must surely realise that players who continously lose are going to give up and eventually never go back.

I prefer no bonuses with rtg this way if you win you can cashout without all that playthrough. But seeing as the past 5 6 months rtg has been so tight i had started taking one casino up on their bonuses. When i look back i made 42 deposits 12 using a bonus. No withdrawals from that, then all of a sudden im offered no more bonuses. Not to get off topic here but playtech is another you have to watch out for. This time last year i had my account locked ( i wont say casino name) reason being i had taken to many bonuses. Funny how this one went as when you make your deposit it is automatically added into your funds.
Never once cashed out from playtechs yet i got bonus banned and account locked. Live chat with playtech simply said well it is up to the player to contact support to remove bonuses.

42 deposits and only 12 bonuses for an RTG - and they cry "bonus abuse"

    WTF are they smoking!!!!!!

Not sure what's up with Playtech, your tale just further reinforces my desire to avoid them like the plague.

If the industry are going to lock accounts for "bonus abuse" even when players have never cashed out, and consider 12 bonuses with 42 deposits excessive, then I doubt the industry is going to last too much longer in it's current form, unless they develop an ALTERNATIVE to the bonus model.

I have even found my local "amusement arcade" offering a bonus:eek: Mind you, it's a free slots tournament, but some while ago the other DID offer me an online style deposit bonus. I changed up a tenner, and they put my bonus into a Fruit Machine of my choice, 1x B WR, and theoretically I could have walked out with the tenner in change:D Funnily enough, I wasn't asked for ID at the door:rolleyes:

As much as I really don't want the U.S. government involved I really don't think the online casino biz will ever truly be legit without some real kind of accredidation where the casinos are truly held accountable, you would think that with todays economy that the vegas casinos would embrace the online regulated world of gambling to reach those that can't afford to travel there but would want to still part with a few bucks gambling instead of vehemently opposing it
