I'm free! (?)

Kimss will do well in any pursuit in life other than trying to be luckier than static math. Look at the new avatar! Fit and trim, determined... just one little screw loose, the same screw we 'all' have loose.

He might play again slotsmonster (yeah, don't slag the guy in the funny sweater he's a sharp fellow too :p) but if Kimss gambles again it will probably be to coach someone on bonus use, otherwise he'd be a fool to try. He's had that one good kaching, just like a heroin junker... but maybe he could, be the one in a million.

I'm just glad he took some mastery instead of deciding to continue getting flogged by the house edge (whatever that is).

Good on ya Kimss!!! And if ya come back, come back wiser and no worse for the wear. As much as your brilliant mind and passion could contribute to the gambling community - I'd prefer you be happy and in control of the little bit destiny that any of us can claim. If you are free, be free!!

Kimss, I hope you took that video channel I gave you. I grew up a gambling addict pre internet. I used to get hot flushes everytime I waled passed a bookies, and they are one every on. I have a bookie about 100 yards from my keyboard. Fuck me, if I grew up with the internet i would have probably gambled my parents house.

Kimss, stay away from here for a while. Set yourself up with other intersests. You will get the buzz, just keep away, your casino time is fillled in with something fulfilling. If you do go back to gambling, which I have, its in perspective & its never a worry. Back to what my dad told me"son, if you are going to gamble , only gamble on yourself". My best options are poker, I done well for a while but now its not so good. My gambling addiction leaves me when I am playing crap. Unless the deamon drink hits

The man deserves some respect and understanding...

Understanding - damn, YES.
Respect - NO, until he really quit. What the reason to respect the man who trying, and trying and trying, but really doesn't quit? When you'll quit - my respect to your willpower :notworthy. If no - please stop wasting your time and singing old song many times. It's my opinion.

P.S. For example, when I was a smoker, I tried 2 times before quit, and I think I didn't deserve respect when trying. But when I quit - I really did!

uuuh...reverse psychology?:D
i did it with a friend of mine - trying to loose weight. i said "stupid, you will fail again, you will stay fat as usual"....and he got mad, really mad - and every time he said to me that he lost a kg, i just said something like "sometimes its raining in the desert"...but he kept on, and he lost i think about 10kg, and looks really good!!!
sure, this won`t work with everyone...haha..maybe someone other had kicked me where it really hurts:D

well sloti - you have your point, and i understand what you mean. but it sounded very unfriendly, especially you just know KIMSS from his funny postings. i just thought when reading your comment....you stepped one step too far.

my two cents - which should not be thrown into a damn slotmachine.

regards

Thanks, Edward, you're absolutely right. Sometimes it better to take a good kick in the friend's butt than every time seeing his vain efforts and saying "oh my friend i'm with you!". I think you understand me.
But in any case I'm really sorry for being unfriendly (if I really did). Wish you good luck, Kimss :)

Well... my respect for him doesn't have to be earned.

The right move....

Kmiss,

I don't post as often as everyone else, usually just to give my opinon on matters I have experienced. I too felt it was time to step back from ALL gambling, the online thing was really peanuts compared to my poker losses.

Long story short, I quit and decided to save the money I was regulating for gambling. After 5 months I had saved nearly 45K, now I have a '07 Mustang Saline in the driveway.

I'll still throw $50 at a reputable online casinofor some slots play, other than that I'm done. NO more Vegas, NO more Casino Queen, NO more Argosy.

Wishing you and your family all the best.

DD

As they say, admitting to yourself you have a problem is the first crucial step. I try my best not to lend a gambler money but I am a big softy at times. Too often I have seen money going astray, it was never a money issue with me, although I have gone short, it was the lies that pissed me off. If anyone is looking for a sign, that is one of the major ones

First of all, thanks for the comments everyone! It's nice to see my posts are read, and that people infact can relate in some way or another.
After reading all naturally I need to give some feedback on the posts, I couldn't do all so I just picked a few while reaing.

Also - I havn't wagered a nickle and infact I do not feel the urge (at the moment that is) for doing so either! It will come, sure, so until
I have a month without gamble I should be really carefull where my descissions and impulses take me...

So,

i gotta say that if ever there was someone who needed to quit and then came back anyway my vote would have to be for k, going off his earlier osts this past month he seems to be a glutton for punishment, once again i know because i lived it

It's a sad story really, but so true! I must have gambled for the same amount of years.

Good luck kimss  Don't sit too close to the screen...and can I recommend LCD over plama? They are way more eco-friendly!

Thanks for you help in cracking the MG reels and the reel statistics. It was a major discovery that the oldest 5-reel MG slots are weighted, though it was a shocking result. It also proved the newest MG slots indeed are fair (non-weighted) - though I know you doubt your own results :)

Hehe, indeed I do! Seeing the luck come in waves seems abit strange. When hot you win everywhere - and then it all get's really cold. However i will not fuel this argument any more, :D

And, if I ever see you gambling online - I will go tell everyone:D

Thanks - I expect you to do so - so in return I will not wager online again! :)

If you're really gambling addict - you'll be back. I'm sure.

Harsh, but true. Damn - historically I can't deny it! It's not like the first time i throw one of theese 5K loosing threads, lately I had quite a few of them.

My tactic would now be to plan a visit to a landbased casino once a year or so - with a planned amount of money, no Visa inside the casino. Sure I'll most likely loose a little fortune that day, but it's one day a year - and if I win I most likely cash out since money in the hand is quite more worth than credits on the screen!

Let's hope I'm strong enough this time not to return - I will do my best to proove you wrong mate, :)

honest thou...........
unfortunately its true.

Jupp jupp, as noted above.

I'll miss your craziness Kimss!:) You have to do what's good for you though! I figured you were either a multi-millionaire or a train-wreck waiting to happen.
If you didn't ban yourself from the forum, then please come by and say hello when you can.

Hehe, you never know that one - but most likely I will be that multi-millionaire as soon as I stop throwing away all the money online, :) And I'm still good, no online gambling as for the start of this thread! Still going strong!

Thanks for this, thet screw loose comment made my day, :)

And yes - I feel free today, not in the constraints of the wheels! I can make my own moode, the slots do not determine if I will be having a good or bad day today! If that's nopt freedom I don't know!

Kimss, I hope you took that video channel I gave you.

Thanks for this mate, I am a heavy torrent user, :D Just like gambling - I walk the whole mile!

If no - please stop wasting your time and singing old song many times. It's my opinion.

Oh, but it's a classic! :) You are right, I'm no fool - complaining doesn't solve any problems. Actions speak louder than words - I'm quite aware of that! However it's better to complain in here where the people have the basic understanding of the addiction! It wouldnt help me much complaining in another forum - there 100% would find my actions 100% irrational and stupid. Atleast you understand where I'm comming from, and therefore understand my problems.

And again - havnt spun the wheels yet, :)

sure, this won`t work with everyone...haha..maybe someone other had kicked me where it really hurts:D

I can handle a punch, :D

The irony is I was attending GA some 6 years ago! As you probably noticed in my posts from the getgo I have been quite open in dealing with the fact I do have a problem. I state it in plain words - I'm an addict! What I must find a sollution for is what to do instead of wagering!

Removing gambling from my life will leave an incredible large hole - what should I fill it with? What can I possible do to create the excitement I crave - on a daily basis?

I should attend that parachute course sooner than later, pick up diving again and maby start climbing some mountains! I'm a sucker for adrenaline, thats for sure! Whatever I do I will always survive - I'm a fighter, but I do need to find some sort of replacement.

Or maby that's just it - I do not need a replacement, I must just find it in myself that I am one of those people that couldn't handle it - I couldn't enjoy gambling! (And why? LOL, since I was one of the lucky smucks that won and got bitten!)

Thanks for the comments all - I really appritiate it!

Good luck with quitting kimss, I'll be following suit very shortly given my recent luck and losses (mostly at 3dice)

Hope you stick with it, look forward to those physical purchases like a fancy car or endless amount of gadgets!

You seem to be quite rational outside of your 'addiction'. There is a place where you can vent and explore your thinking.
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.
many of the people there are dealing with alcohol/drug issues, but it is a 'method' that can give you the tools to seperate your emotions from your thoughts inre gambling, and tools to catch and correct irrational thinking. That's what it all really boils down to doesn't it?
Good luck:thumbsup:

There is another member here who may have used this resource when they quit gambling and if they have any feedback on it maybe they can PM you.

You damn right you will be Kimss....just remember to share the wealth brother...:D

It's hard but you can do it mate...

What about a few good looking women Kimss...you can't go wrong there....:D:D

Seriously though Kimss, I sincerely wish you every bit of strength that you are going to need...I know...it's hard man, it's almost as additive as nicotine, but all the best to you man !

Hehe, you never know that one - :)

What about a few good looking women Kimss...you can't go wrong there....:D:D

KIMSS...you know that women bring you lot more than just a 15 free spin bonus round....wohooo. And well...you`ll spend more money on them, and yes there is some addiction on it. But its really worth!!
Everytime you need some push in the right direction...and the slotmachine shouts at you - come here...I`ll def. kick your norwegian butt!!!:p

But I really have that feeling - that you`ll soon start to think how stupid you were, throwing your hard earned money into those damn slots.
I recently watched a docu about the founder of BODOG....a stinking rich billioniar. "I am not a gambler - I want to make money"....this sentence started making me think about my gambling "addiction". Why do I throw money into such mens pocket???

Go on KIMSS:thumbsup:

So true, thats why I like my poker. I dont win much and dont lose much, so its a fairly safe form of gambling for me. I have played slots a few times but they are so damn addictive so I keep away. I put a few dollars in the odd time but I expect to lose that & im not going to give too much weight to strategy

Thanks for all the kind comments people! The force is strong with this one!

What about a few good looking women Kimss...you can't go wrong there....:D:D

Hehe, I am a damn hot party animal, :D I had my share of women, believe you me! It's a great way of getting your mind of most things - except them that is, very true, very true! However it's not free that run either, but a hell of a lot cheaper, However, theese are the times you really enjoy the "naked"-spins... LOL

Thanks everyone, i'll jump back in this thread next monday to confirm I didn't wager the last week! Meanwhile it seems I should be doing some more "wine and dine" around here, :D
