I'm back

Lady Luck's been smooching it with you too. Nice wins
$20 a spin, wow!

What's with the ID, do all Vegas Casinos enforce ID to be shown before a payout? Or is this a standard that all USA casinos follow?
I believe that any payout over $1000 requires a hand payout where they also require ID to fill out the tax forms. They give you these forms when completed(no tax is deducted) and it's up to you to report this to the IRS.

Welcome back Meister, glad to see you had a safe trip....so did you win any big money in Vegas ?

You just HAD to ask, didn't you :)

First of all, a win of $1200 or more on a single spin/hand/play triggers the hand payout requirement, accompanied by a tax form. This happens regardless of how much you have in the machine, and regardless of how much you put INTO the machine.

Secondly, I was egging Meister on - he was pulling $20 a spin and he was ahead, so I told him to quit at $400 or $500 (he was somewhere in between) - so he did... then BANG...

Lastly, Meister neglected to mention that I followed him on most of the machines - and practically gave back what he had won...

"Gems" are what the casino collects from poor souls like me... in their case, it's an aptly named game...

Hi Meister-

Welcome back... and nice win!

Anyways, Cirrus is continuing to crap on me, perhaps worse than before with their non-payments. It's not an urgent matter, obviously, but after you wade through your other members' issues in these coming weeks, I'd appreciate a PM.

Thanks!

He he. During the Casinomeister moderator tour, we were at the Mandalay Bay casino playing some slots. We found the "Gems" slots by IGT, and both Spear and I can attest that it's a real Hoover Vacuum of a slot. It just sucked up a bunch of bills. Simmo! left to go find some VP machines, and after a couple of minutes Spear and I went to go look for him. But instead of getting all split up, I chose to remain there at the slots for when Simmo! would return. So I plopped down in from of this machine awaiting Simmo! A couple of minutes later - wham lookee here.

The funny thing is that I only had my German drivers license with me and not my passport. They gave me a receipt, and I returned the next day on the way out of Vegas to collect my winnings. Well after doing so. I sat down at the same machine to say farewell to Vegas - wham - about two minutes into the game I hit another jackpot for $2550. No screenshot for that one. My camera was in the car :D

Damn Meister !! Awesome Pic of Jackpot !! :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy

What a way to head out of town,

Had Simmo or Spear tryed playing that machine too ?
