Hey Guys,

over the last few years i've met so many great people in this forum, and i had the chance to experience such great moments... The highlight of my gambling career was the 150'000 EUR win at CasinoEuro. Unfortunately since this moment i struggled with low-rolling, i just couldn't do it. I had to do high bets and i couldn't slow down.... I did win and loose, but they way i am gambling i have to realize that i loose significantly more than i win.

It works out great in landbased casinos. I take cash, go there and when i'm done i'm done, but at home i just continue to gamble. And although it's not just a money problem, the time i spend in online casinos has significantly gone up again and i just had to realize that this will not change.

I decided for a strong step. I played about 8 casinos often at the time and i just sent out an e-mail to those to close my account.

It was such a hard decision as i love online gambling so much, but it just eats too much of my time... I already made a break a while ago, but i'm back in full force and i need to focus on other things now.

I want to say THANK YOU to all the people i've met here. I will check the forum from time to time, to say hello and update you guys about my landbased casino adventures :)

I wish you all the best and good luck!! It was a blast :)

Cheers,
Hoff

All the best on the new adventures,

I am with you some what, Takes up to much time, Now with all the rule changes, Stalled payments, & all the other BS that comes with it, Its becoming a joke, Takes up to much precious time, Especially now you have to double check rules every time you sign in before start playing than to still find you played wrong,

Very wise choice Hoff:thumbsup:. Best of luck with all your land-based casino and other endeavours!

Might be a very good decision Hoff...
I wish you all the best buddy...
You have shown us here anyone can hit a monster win / JP at any time how small the chances might be...
Wish you all the best for the future and keep popping in here from time to time will ya?:thumbsup:

Mark.

Thumbs up on putting a fork in it.

Pop in and see us every now and then. I haven't played in over two years but I still haunt meisterland. LOL

Hoff, a big congrats on making what had to be a very tough decision! Good luck at the casinos and let us know how you are doing.

Oh man, I knew that jackpot happened to someone that would make the most of it. I am sorry to lose regular participation here by you.

Do pop in from time to time and let us know how life is treating you. Or post some cruise pictures, since you are still going to be on the computer, unless you are giving that up. too.

Maybe there is enough left for a wedding :eek2:

I know you have a job that would have let you spend more as a low roller, and I know from my own life that sometimes the time is more of a problem than the money. I had a girlfriend leave her man over WoW, not because of the money spent on it (although more than I spend gambling, but he has a better job), but he was unavailable.

A friend who was my housemate for six years told me this weekend that something I told her a long time ago when we first went on a landbased junket was that if you are gambling to win money you are gambling for the wrong reasons really struck a chord and changed things for her.

You still have money left hoff, and be wise please. You have enough online experience and bonuses to work landbased casinos for your most comp level, and still stay in your budget.

And the food is better. We don't get free drinks in my province.

I don't know about your girlfriend, but my boyfriend had a girlfriend found hotel sex pretty inspiring.

I am a pretty good guesser, you will stay on your feet, and I hope you stay in touch, I always enjoyed your contributions.

Best of luck Hoff. PM Bryan if you want restrictions placed on your Casinomeister account to help but if not, make sure to avoid Winner Screenshots section!

Yes - an old saying here is that sometimes the worst thing you can do is win big. You get overconfident due to having a big bankroll, lose the reality of what the money you get in your normal day job is worth etc.
I hate to say it but I half expected this to happen, but at least you've realized it and acted as you should.
All the best mate - as you are Swiss there will soon be a well-paid job with lots of 'bungs' available as head of FIFA...:D

But if not, enjoy the break.
