IGlobalMedia Video Poker software glitch

QUOTE As for Spear and Jetset, I believe both of you have become extremely one-sided in your commentary, and you both should take a step back and realize that this is an industry built on greed and corruption, and that no amount of self policing is going to solve the problem. Watchdog sites like Bryan's are a good start in the right direction, but are not the ultimate solution.UNQUOTE

"Extremely?" "One-sided?"

If anyone should take a step back it is yourself, Dave as any reference to your frequent rants against Microgaming in particular will illustrate.

In the eCOGRA context you as usual give absolutely no recognition to the independent directors who effectively control the body, and I very much doubt that Cassava's executive would subscribe to your view that the Moshals call the shots.

Your well worn "government regulation or nothing" attitude is unlikely to evolve in the States anytime soon and it is not helping the here and now, where your blind prejudice against an outfit like eCOGRA that is actually starting to make a difference doesn't help anyone.

You are undoubtedly an expert gambler whose capabilities are to be truly respected, but as always when you suddenly appear with one of these in my view unjustified attacks I am concerned at your lack of objectivity and balance in industry matters.

But let us not digress - iGlobal is the focus point here. Ted and I met with the iGlobal folks in January at the ICE and spent a good hour going over what needs to happen to clear some matters up. I am a little surprised that nearly two months have gone by, and there have been no follow ups. I guess it's time to revisit this issue.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Any news?

Nothing - not a damn thing. I guess they forgot about it. When the smoke clears this week, I'll be getting back into this one. It may behoove iGlobal to make a pre-emptive move before I do.

I was on the Starluck cruise a month ago. Every single survey and questionnaire they gave us, I made sure to post in all "Comments" or "Complaints" sections the fact that their VP is buggy.

Same here. We must have run into each other on the boat. I also pointed out all the software bugs......

problems with VP

I just got a $6 bonus from them (no deposit), and went to play it on Jacks or Better (although it's a short paytable). I played a game - got cards, held a couple clicked draw - 'the software is not responding'. Logged back on, money gone, went back into vp - the old game was not restored (which any good software should do), and it happened again. Happened 3 or 4 times in all, including one time when I DEFINITELY had a winning hand (pair of queens), and still get $0.

I have screenshots of the video poker here doing crazy things. One is attached. My 4 of a kind was paid for a full house. It was paying the wrong amounts constantly... sometimes more, sometimes less. Would pay for a straight on a 2 pair as often as it did what is attached. I don't trust it at all.

Were you sending in the screenshots of the times it paid more than it should have as well as the times it paid less?

Wow - so we have evidence that their VP sometimes deals the same hand twice in a row, fails to pay out wins and pays out the wrong amount for wins. Their BJ occasionally deals the wrong cards with values that don't add up, or the screen splits in a weird way so you can't see what's going on. Even their slots malfunction.

This lot surely deserve an honoured place among the 'evil software providers'. Not so much because it looks as though they have evil intentions, but for wreckless complacency and a complete disregard for their players (who've reported these errors for years). Any casino that has software which malfunctions like this needs to be automatically rogued. If they were regulated they'd be forced to close & heavily fined until it was fixed - putting them on a few blacklists is a poor alternative, but who knows, it might finally persuade them that something needs to be done

I would agree with this. I didn't notice any major problems with the blackjack, although I had the screen splitting issue about every half an hour, but the video poker (which has poor paytables anyway) is unacceptable. Any software providers should restore your game when you go back, and to have four five consecutive hands crash (losing my money) is just unacceptable. I haven't complained because it seems churlish to complain about an unsolicited $5 bonus, but I won't be depositing my own money again.

PS. When I try to login to check it now, it says the servers are overloaded and I should try later. Not a good sign.

It's been almost 6 months since I started this thread. I'm not a software developer, but I'm pretty damn sure it shouldn't take this long to fix the problems.

IGM needs to be rogued for extreme laziness and complete ignorance of their players.
