Hi all,

Just an aside but why do some casinos require the BACk of my driving license? There is no personal details on there at all!

But without it apparently I cannot receive a payment?

No problem sending it but I just wondered why this was...

I don't know how your licenses are looking, but in my country there is a special code on the back. That one is what they scan in stores and other places. If you make a false card it's more difficult to get that code to fit the front I suppose.

Some states also have a barcode and data in back. They are states that have newer and more stringent requirements for a license. In America there is no national standard. Each state basically makes their own rules. It is totally ridiculous.

Mine has a Barcode AND a Fingerprint at the back ....

I usually send the Front and back..

I expect there is no specific reason related to the content, it is just a policy to have front and back of everything. It is just as silly as requiring the photo, as it is not something they can use to verify that it is a true likeness of the player sat in front of the PC. This may be possible via webcam, which is now becoming installed as standard on laptops, and would simply require some code in the casino lobby to offer webcam authentication on registration, images that could then be compared with the photo ID when it is sent in.

Oddly enough, I have never been asked for the back of my utility bill, and surely this is just as valid a requirement as the back of anything else.

Agreed not much info on the back unless it's scanned and therefore shows the front information. At least here in the US..

Although organ donors can be identified from the back side of a US DL, thats about it extra.

I can't see what that's for but thanks to your post I just realised I can drive anything up to 8250kg! Which means I can legally ride my Lambretta with my wife on the back.

Early passports had two picture slots, the other being a photo of the back of your head, these were brought into force by the constant swarms of illegal immigrants making a run for it upon being discovered, and custom officials only being able to recognise them from behind, which in due course made it a lot easier for them to identify them.

However, after the rise of Swedish porn stars and footballer`s from the 70`s and the introduction of permed mullets, the crafty asylum seekers begin to follow suit and sport similar hairstyles, and the more astute would brush up on the lingo "If in doubt, whip it out", "Over here son, on my head", "Get it in the box early", others would learn some football quotes too.

The only people who didn`t need to use a dual picture passport were members of royalty, whom only had to lick the back of a stamp and stick it on the passport, this was a constant nuisance for King James though, as every time he done this, he duly posted his passport in the nearest letter box.

So, in the nutshell, the reason we need to post backs and fronts of things are ugly girls with fantastic asses, and nothing to do with 70`s porno and football stars at all.

and yes, I may of just finished a bottle of my best friend Jim Beams so probably making no sense but The back of peoples liences all over the world are different so I have NO idea why they want a scan of that too though the majority of casinos do plus a pint of your blood hehe
