Sometimes when I have bad luck at the slots..Ill take $50 or something and go make some sport bets. Its like a controlled tilt. You blow off some steam but dont lose too much....or maybe get lucky and get a nice win

I must admit I dont know wtf Im doing half the time.

A few days ago I bet on Dal to beat Edm.....and Den to beat NE yest NFL game.

On the Denver bet I chose 3.5+. Which I thought they had to win by 4 or more points. With 20 seconds remainings NE got a touchdown ...to only be losing by 2. I was so upset. I couldnt believe I lost my $50 bet with like 10 seconds to go.

I check my account and see that I won. I was like huh.

And then I decided to read about point spread. I guess I should look up the rules first huh?

Also placed a $25 bet for LA to beat SJ. LA scored with 12 sec do go to tie it. And won in OT.

fun fun fun

Anyone else throw out the odd sports bet?

Yeah I do every now and then.

In fact, when I do I tend to be unbelievably lucky, much much more so than I am on slots.

I am not sure why I do not do it more often, I place maybe 5 a year when I fancy something different.

The thing with sports - especially the BPL which I bet on, it is so unpredictable most of the time it is impossible to know which way to go

Not a big punter as stated in a previous thread but I like to spend a few tenners here and there every year.
If I do place bets it is mainly on football and darts.
Football I fancy accumulators but chances to win are slimmer that way but payouts are better.
Would defo not bet on sports I don't know anything about like NFL,boxing or horse racing. :D

Best I ever won with sportsbetting was a nice €1000.00 on a 2 Euro bet by predicting a single outcome in a football match in the Dutch league.
Think it was a 5-4 score and was placed at 500/1. :D

Sports is very unpredictable for sure.

After I bet $25 on LA to win. I was watching the game and they didnt have their starting goalie who is very good. And three other players that are good. I instantly regretted my bet and thought I should do more research when betting. Cause if I knew that I would have bet SJ. However they still won. I bet alot of the serious sports betters lost money on that game betting on SJ to win cause of all the injuries to LA.

The odds were 2-1 LA. I think given all the injuries and they were the visiting team it should have been at least 2.5-1

Oh well...I won so cant complain

I really wanted to bet on the NFL games yesterday but wasn't sure how. I went on to the Guts website but I wasn't sure what the min deposit. Pisses me off as I would have won on both games. I will give it a go for the Super Bowl.

Who are you betting on for the superbowl and how much?

Im thinking Carolina. They seem unstoppable

Betting Broncos. Not sure how much yet. I am going to email Guts to get a bit of help with how the betting works. What site do you use?

sports Interaction. They are Canadian and operate out of Montreal

Thanks Lockinlove. Just checked them out and they seem pretty good. I like that it is Canadian and it is not OLG. I will sign up some time this week with them.

no prob. they are accredited here so thats a obv good.

Right now if you were to pick denver. The odds are 2.60-1. So if you bet $100 the payout would be $260

If you are unfamiliar with betting and are just looking to pick who wins...then you bet on the money line option

Sports Tab..choose NFL...choose superbowl from drop down menu. You will see a whole pile of number. You are looking for money line for just a straight up win or lose bet.

The little yellow arrow looking thingy is how you place your bet. After you click on it...up to the top right screen is where you pick your amount and confirm bet.

Hope this helps and if not live support is always around it seems. Good luck

Its my lucky day!!

Better quit while im ahead soon cause this is very lucky.

The last time I looked at guts sports betting prices they were absolutely awful, huge margins against you. For the slot minded think RTP 88% or something.

I am a seasoned sports bettor, absolutely love it. I would highly recommend bet365, accredited here and top notch outfit. Their margins are a lot more player friendly than guts.

How lucky are you? wow! I'm huge football fan but haven't bet that often and I can tell you the hardest thing to bet on is the correct score, leave about such an outrages score, 5-4??, I can't still think how you decided on that particular league/match or score?

I had a friend who twice placed random bets on Chelsea losing to QPR at home at 16/1 and arsenal beating Bayern at 9/1 away but yours sir, is on another level

ive been doing really great with betting sports lately. Lots of parlay wins and stright up wins too. Even called the top goal scorer in the ASG last night at 8-1 odds.

My issue is, I take my winnings and lose it on slots...win a bet....go to slots....win a bet.....round we go!

Cashing out from all sites and taking abreak.

Well aside from pending bets of $75 on carolina to win the super bowl. And $100 for the total score to be under 46 pts.

sports betting is far more +ev than any sort of gambling, including poker but of course you need the skill to find the edge. On any given day there will be 100's of events and thousands every week. Most bettors will try to bet so many games chasing bets or trying to win more if they win. Key is finding 5 to 7 bets a week out of those thousands of events that has the best value. Discipline is key. If you succeed you can make living with sports betting.

You are right, mate. And you can live very good only with making money on betting.

The problem with betting on sports is it takes too much time!

I used to be hooked to sports betting back in 2010. All I was doing at work and at home was placing bets and watching sports. It took too much time from me checking stats, watching games, considering which is the best bet to place etc. It's very hard to beat the bookmakers at their own game and it takes a lot of time from you. And if you're really good they just limit/block your account at one point so it's never a long term win :)

People can win crazy big at sports with some of the combinations (combining sport events predictions to multiply their odds and get more winnings). All in all at one point it was costing me time and money. That's why nowadays if I feel like gambling I stick to playing a bit of casino games ;)

Sports betting sometimes can be easy win but keep in mind in long term, you have to bet with strategies and gotta learn the odds.
But when feeling luck go for a big bet, you never know :)

I have the odd flutter here and there, but we're talking maybe two or three bets a year.

Used to think I knew my stuff in regards to the Premier League, but alas, as mentioned elsewhere the results go batshit crazy and effectively anyone can beat anyone in that league

It's a different kind of buzz to slotting for sure, and nothing beats a bit of spread betting. It can also enhance the viewing experience as many matches - though unpredictable - can be a chore to watch in their own right

Have you found any specific sports or teams that seem to bring you more luck with your bets?

I have a theory, not yet put to the test. Find a team with a huge fan base who are playing another team with fewer supporters. My logic says the well supported team will have lower odds than it should do (weight of money argument that is used for stocks and shares), so bet on their opponents. Keep searching for mismatched fan base events and gradually you should show a profit.
