I posted this at 2+2 as well and ran into someone who had same disaster.
In the summertime I moved. Party insisted I do a faxback to change my address. The only reason I wanted to change it was because of the points merchandise. They wanted the typical ID and utility bill BUT they also wanted a front and back of a credit card, I have never used a CC to deposit and felt this was a ridiculous request in addition a stupid move on my part if I did. I was also unhappy with how they just about accused me of trying to defraud them. I told them to close my account and went and played on a skin. Party Poker allows players to close their account and reopen after 90 days, often times less.
Since the skins broke up I cannot play Stud8 $33+ SNG's unless I play on Party. This is the only WSOP event I have played ever played and went well into the money on it. I feel it is my strongest game which is why I want to play those SNG's.
I go to create a new account, something they have allowed players to do if their account is closed for 90+ days (often times even less) and I get the account created but I have no way to deposit into it. I call to see what the issue is......
"According to our records you emailed us on 10-26-2005 and told us you have a gambling problem and to close all of your IGM accounts" On this date my Empire account was closed as well, an account I had used during this time that I played on a skin and no associated with that email at all.
WHAT?????????????
My Party Poker account was already closed, why would I email them to close my account if it was already closed? They have refused to provide me with this email, they never emailed me about it or called about it. The supervisor I talked to said this email does not have any information about me on it at all, it was matched to my email address. I have been told every time I call I am banned from all Party Gaming sites because of this gambling problem. The supervisors I talk to even agree that it could easily be spam or some other error but only one person in Party Gaming can reopen an account that is closed due to gambling issues.
I have not made a deposit into any IGM skin in months, not even to receive bonuses and I am well into the black on all IGM accounts, there is no evidence of this gambling problem they claim. I have even provided links to my player profile at Worldseriesofpoker.com anf offered to send a screenshot of my Neteller transactions but so far to no avail.
My guesses are:
1. The CS I talked to that would not change my address used this as a reason when the computer asked why I was closing account. (doesnt explain the date though)
2. Someone has sent out a spoofed or spammed email to them. This is very possible because the email address I used for Party is my commercial email as well, an account I get a massive amount of spam to and from and i know it has been spoofed in the past for spam purposes.
3. Someone in Party CS placed another request under my name. This would explain the lack of any contact.
This is a major security flaw here. Virtually anyone can spoof an email address of a player they know and have their account closed forever if what they are saying is true that this one, unconfirmed email, is the reason I cannot play on Party Poker. That is a serious issue they need to address immediately.
My question, does anyone know of anyone at Party Poker that is high up enough to not read these answers from a book and actually use their senses that this is a huge error? I have one friend trying to help me through the affiliate department. I am just out of ideas, this has to be one of the most retarded things Party Poker has ever done. Randomly banning people because they got spammed or because of a CS error is pretty bad. If I could play $55 Stud8 SNG's anywhere else I would have given up a longtime ago.
I am 100% sure if this issue was with almost any other CS it would have been corrected right away, I have wasted hours with Party Poker over this and I dont know where to go from here.
