HTML 5 netent games have changed

I think we should have a thread that covers all netent games that are either changed or released under html 5. If you disagree we can have this thread scrapped. (I know we already have one for doa, but it seems like other slots have changed too.)
twinspin for example feels off.

Theyre all playing differently now, especially Dead or Alive, is just horrible now with its near misses, sloppy programing showing scatters where they shouldnt be, lack of wildlines and overall the feel of it.
But if you guys have contributions to this thread or just disagree with me then let please share. :)

Dont know if its running on html5 now on mobile, but jatb shows me the last months every few spins when the reels start a wild on reel 2,3,4 and 5 in a row. Unfortunetly never stops like this:)
Did not see this earlier.
But i like that they have released some of their older slots for mobile now, like wild water and elements, i think also based on html5.would have preferred some others but they might follow

I both agree and disagree. Of course they have changed, but only what you see which is the graphics behind the slots.
It has always only been eyecandy but what's programmed behind the games haven't changed. It would be stupid doing something illegal and risk losing their whole company just for a few dollars more in profit.

What I do see now is that players in here more and more are blaming the game providers for their losses instead of separate casinos. What a relief for them.
If you win it's a good change of the graphics but if you lose it's a bad one :eek2:

For you that the other day told us you needed to stop playing it's really important that you never put the blame for your losses on anything else but your own doing. You lost all by yourself. Please remember that.

It must be a massive undertaking to convert all of those games from Flash to HTML5. It might explain why they have not had so many releases lately. I wonder if MG will be doing this with there 400+ slots?

No matter how good your HTML5 developers are, they will not be able to fully replicate every single graphic/element from the original Flash games. However, I am sure that with the amount of money involved here, that NetEnt and other developers will be doing their upmost to make these games as close to identical to the originals.

Interesting.
I am just thinking here but would the games maybe run on a slightly lower RTP% because of this?
I mean, it will probably cost a company like Netent a good bit of money to move all their games to HTML5 eventually.
People already report that games on HTML5 seem to play different and/or more tight.

The costs for such an operation have to come from somewhere and I am sure it won't be from their own wallets on the end.

So maybe the player is "sponsoring" this operation while playing their new HTML5 suite of games. :p;)

I promise to bring you a suitable hat when we finally meet Mark :D

If they had changed the rtp, don't you think they would have been smarter to raise it instead? That way palyers would have played more and been more happy with the change. That is actually the reason why most casinos are using the highest rtp setting they are offerered. They still get their money.

I doubt that their customers (the casinos) would be very pleased with them if they did something like that either. My guess though is that you will keep on trusting what players are saying instead of those who actually know something say :)

Agree in the most Sara but the fact is none of us can say 100% for sure either way on that one.

We (well some of us) reach for the foil hats after a bad session on these 'new' slots but years of experience / knowledge is making us from time to time "feel" the difference"

Truth is not one person, ever (from a players perspective) with know whether any coding was changed. This could be done, it may not have been?? - It could have been changed without breaking any "rules" also, so to speak.

One we will never know the answer to. Fact remains I trust the places/providers I play otherwise I would simply pack this stupid hobby in all together lol :p

Exactly! It's a matter of trust and nothing else.

You said a fun thing there. Almost like as experience would mean knowledge. Yes a few people here have learned something over the years, but gosh I wish there were more :p

Am I the only one who doesn't give a damn about the change from Flash to HTML5? Even if there has been some tinkering with the games the RTP will still be the RTP

How long you been slotting in general matey?

It could be an "Old School" thing that's all, that's my gripe with em anyway.

Other than that 17 wild lines on flash and erm none on HTML5 has nothing to do with it lol :p :p

first 700€ @2€ rtp 64,8%
Then 225€ @2€ God knows what as support doesnt understand what rtp means.
What is seriously going on with netent. I mean it is impossible for me to win anything beyond 20x bet from any of their slots nowadays.

I think the only thing that has changed is how we perceive the games.

Regarding Dead or alive, I have hit both a wildline and five scatters on the html 5 version. So for me it has played better than the old one.

I've only been slotting with any conviction for a few years Jono. But something I took on board many years ago is that most folk do not like change.( That's why my piggy bank gets full up with coppers so quickly despite the little one raiding it)
Anyone new to something will simply except it as it is while the seasoned will protest like mad ( See Brexit)

The bottom line for me is that the RTP will not change and they will not change it back due to a few protestations.

Sure some will like change, when the rtp is the same. But why do they have to change doa? Who would have liked it to be changed? For example if there would now be 10% more 2 scatters that would drain alot of the rtp that has previously gone torwards the bonus. So fewer wildlines but people win 2x bet more often. Which they will still gamble away as im sure no one will withdraw after getting a win for that. So why change it? Because it has changed in some way.

Should I simply believe your claims or wait for evidence?

This thread reminds me of the same kind of discussion about MGS slots and how they seem to have changed. The arguments were pretty much the same. Must have changed RTP, something's not right here etc. etc.

Funny thing is, that this discussion took place almost a decade ago. The reality IMO is the same, RTP is given and if you do not trust the provider to offer fair games, you should not play at all. It's called gambling for a reason.

Personally I welcome the change to html5 even with the little annoyances. I hope flash will be finally gone soon.

RTP is probably the same as before but perhaps the variance has changed on some games, like DOA. There are some strange goings on with the base game and its 5OAKs, and the bonus - though more frequent- has gone somewhat medium variance from what I've observed.

Same as Liddls really. I'd pop in on occasion to grab a few things, and out of nowhere they decide to have a makeover and raise prices willy nilly.

6- piece salmon packs have shot up about 50p last I checked, and they've definitely tagged 8p on the digestives. Try telling me they're not recouping their money, unbelievable

That would mean that they had to calculate and change the intire game all over again, instead of just keeping it like it was and just change the graphics.
Could you please give me one reason for why they would do that? Why if the rtp still is the same and both the casinos and the game provider earn the same on it?

I'll pop a little "salt n vinegar" on this discussion just cos that's what I'm like :p

Question regarding "to Tamper or not to Tamper"

Why after all these years and all these tight restrictions, 'Do NOT pass Go' etc etc have a LOT of casinos relaxed their DOA Restrictions (usually regarding bonus play), Hell some are even awarding free spins on DOA, something we'd NEVER see.

Only my opinion but they'd (the casinos) not implement this if the 'risk' were greatly reduced, IE: much less potential for those freaky/lucky quick big hits.

Maybe the RTP is identical but partially as has been suggested the variance is not.

As I say just my opinion / An Idea!

Things get re-programmed all the time, it's not a case of simply changing the graphics, it's a different platform altogether so likely they've started from the ground up.

And why does anyone want to do anything? How long is a piece of string? It's not a criticism aimed at the virtuous and holy software providers - they're not beyond reproach or criticism. Rather, it was an observation on the gameplay mechanics and how they feel different to before.

Why don't you ask Netent for why they changed it, but I fear you might be waiting for a long time

Less big wins and more shitty wins, Said this about IR some months ago.
The amount of wins I got with 9's were unbelievable.

I dont play slots much these days, but when I have been doing then I have noticed how my balance is going up much (if at all)

No good for lowrollers but highrollers can do a hit and run

I find the only way to win as a high roller or not lose too much is by taking a bonus. Deposit $500 get $500 bonus. Do $3-$6 bets until you hit some stuff or lose $500. Once you lose $500. Time to grind it out and hope you leave with what you started. And if you hit something nice. Time to grind out the wagering. Its tough but ive had many nice cashouts doing this.

Good tactic LIL:thumbsup:

Don't forget to check the (very regular these days) T&C's updates for anti-grinding policies, they are out there
