Posting this on behalf of a curious player looking for guidance:
Hi there! I'm a newbie as a casino player and I can't figure out how to calculate if the bonus is worthy or not. They are so different in terms and offers. Seeking on the formes like this one, I failed to find the answer, thus, I decided to register and ask. So, guys, can you help me to choose the casino offer, for example, out of these 4 bonuses:
  • Casino-1 - up to 200% up to €1,200 + 200 free spins
  • Casino-2 - 160% up to €160
  • Casino-3 - $1,000 Welcome Bonus Package
  • Casino-4 - £5 No Deposit Bonus
Can you explain why you choose one or another promo?

It's all down to two factors - the EV of the wagering requirement and the slot RTP/volatility.

I see Dollar signs in the post so if you're Canada/NZ then you'll likely have a choice of pretty much the same RTP's we do in Europe. If you are USA and are playing RTG, you'll not have a clue what RTP you will have active on the slots so it would be impossible to compare them.

No where near enough information to give any advice.
To evaluate bonuses you MUST know...
What the WR is?
What games count at 100% ?
Is the bonus Phantom or Cashable?
What is the maximum allowed bet?
Is there any max cash-out amount?

This missing information is the very reason I started my first player guidance website 13 years ago - and it is still the basis of all the information I give and the casinos I recommend.
Too many casinos these days have bonuses which are simply appalling, giving the players virtually no chance of making any sort of cash-out :(

let's take that
  • Casino-1 - up to 200% up to €1,200 + 200 free spins requires the minimum deposit of €10 and has the wr of 30x (d + b) and 30x FS with no max cashout, slots contribute 100%
  • Casino-2 - 160% up to €160 requires the minimum deposit of €15 and has the wr of 50x (b) with no max cashout, slots contribute 100% toward the wr
  • Casino-3 - $1,000 Welcome Bonus Package requires the minimum deposit of $10, the wr is 60x 1st match (b) and 30x matches (b), slots contribute 100% toward the wr
  • Casino-4 - £5 No Deposit Bonus - no deposit is needed at all, the wr is 100x and £20 is the max and min cash out, slots the only game kind with 100% contribution
then what offer is worthy?

Assuming the 100% slots contributions as you said, and 96% RTP (24/25) then:

#1. $100 deposit would award $300 in total and you'd on average spend $360 achieving 9000 WR, so huge EV-, you'd bust on average well before WR.
#2. $100 deposit would award $260 in total and you'd on average spend $320 achieving 8000 WR, so slightly lower EV-, you'd bust on average well before WR.
#3. $100 deposit would award $200 in total (you said 'match' so I assume 100%) and you'd on average spend $240 achieving 6000 WR, so again EV-, you'd bust on average well before WR.
#4. $5 with a WR of 100x would on average leave you at -$20 when completing the $500 wagering, a hopeless proposition and the EV- is pro-rata about 20x worse than #1 which would cost you 20% over on your starting $300, this would cost you 400% over!

They're all shit in EV terms, but #2 and #3 are slightly better than the rest of the bad bunch. You have about a 15-20% chance of 'beating' them assuming average volatility and 96% but this can vary significantly long-term if you choose volatile slots, that would go in your favour.

In fact the first 3 are very close in EV- as on average you'd end up minus about 20-25% of your starting bankroll, including bonus, when you made WR.

If we assume a deposit of 100 in 1,2 and 3 and a bet size of 3 on a 96,5% hv slot they would have roughly these expected returns:

1. Bust rate would be around 85% which average wagering of 3k giving an EV of 95 as it would be 200-(3000x0,035). And you could get something from the fs too.

2. Bust rate around 85% and average wagering 2,5k and EV of around 72, 160-(2500x0,035)

3. The 60xB would have a bust rate of around 87% with average wagering of 1,8k so an EV of 37, 100-(1800x0,035). The 30xB would have bust rate of around 80% with 1,3k average wagering, so EV of 55. Worth checking if previous results affect future matches.

These are rough estimates but are close enough. Notice that you will bust 8-9 times out of 10. Lower bet sizes would decrease it a bit but at the same time decrease the EV, the opposite goes for higher bets. They would all be EV+ with a bet size of 1 so its down to personal preferences.

So in conclusion they are all good bonuses and would go from 1 to 3, the NDB I wouldn't bother with.

...or coming from a total convert, play cash only, no stress, no headaches (also used an accredited casino where possible)
I don't use any deposit bonuses anymore. Two reasons: 1. these days conditions are so bad for the player 2. No stress about t&c.
I will take some freespins-promotions if there is 1x wagering requirement to original deposit.

Too tight conditions in almost any casino in the year 2019 so just better to use raw deposits.

Some good analysis from people more expert in bonuses than me.

I want to add a few things:
1) Make sure you can cashout. Must be a casino you trust (accredited) and you are verified and you have read all the rules (best to have made a cashout before).
2) Read the rules again. Make sure you can play the games you like the way you like. No point taking a bonus you can't enjoy.

Yes always choose new casino from CM's accredited-list. Direct contact from the forum to the casino REP is a big big advantage if something happens. I've seen this internet casino world about 10 years now and most popular issue for the new players is that they don't notice to read rules carefully. One time is not enough, two times is not enough. Three times is okay and you need to understand all terms. If you don't understand, ask. Ask from more experienced players. This forum is great platform for it.

There is almost every time some mines in rules what qualifies the casino void all winnings if you break them. Like basic max.bet rule, prohibited games list or max. cashout-rule in bonuses. And NEVER play in places who use that last rule what I mentioned. They are not legit places. They want to steal your money with that rule.

"Back in the day" I would shop around for as long as it took to find a decent bonus and if I couldn't find one, then I'd either head for 32 Red who always had one on offer, even if small, or not deposit at all that day.

Now I just stick to VS, know I'll get a reward here and there, qualify for the extras they offer and add a little extra progress to getting to that elusive level 21 lol!

Hi all. Was looking for some bonus info and came across this post. I'm new to gaming bonuses and would like to clarify few questions. @Tengil mentioned bust rate for each bonus.

1) What does 'busting the bonus' actually means? Is it cancelling the bonus?
2) How do you actually calculate the bust rate for a slot? Could you please give the example? Let's say I like playing Starburst; what's the bust rate for it?

Thank you very much in advance!

Think it means; with Bonus A you'll not complete wagering in 60% of cases - ie. your money's hit zero. You're out. Gone.

As for how they've calculated - i'll leave that for someone to explain who can count past 10.

Use a large online casino aggregator where you can familiarize yourself with the new online casinos and a new bonuses that have started operating recently.

You need to elaborate so we can help you. It's kinda tough to help if we don't really know what the problem truly is. Just make sure that you read everything because the answer might be there already.

I agree with the previous post. The problem needs to be explained in details. Though I think choosing casino bonus isn't that hard. You have to look carefully what you need and chose it. I personally like bonuses with free spins 'cause this helps you to win lots with good win/lose index. That's why I like visitingOutdated URL (Invalid) which offers really nice credits and bonuses. I played a lot and can tell you that their bonuses are pretty sweet.
