How many people here truly believe slots to be random?

This industry preys on the bored, The ill, The bed ridden, The infirm sitting indoors all day, Children, Those that can not sleep, Those on prescription drugs, Recreational drugs or booze that make them not care how much they gamble.....Its not just the "10 mins or hr of boredom" types that fill the coffers.

Slots are pretty much a huge part of if not all of some peoples lives.

They aint never gonna give up unless they take a very hard rehab. The industry knows this, They are not daft.. Just ruthless.

Pretty much why I started.
Sick and bedridden most the time . Hoping a win would help my family. Bah. Lol..not at my low rolls though

I just want to know how its random that when i play immortal romance at 60p stake i get 3 features in 50 spins and slowly raise my balance and when i raise to 90p i lose 100x stake balance in 113spins ? RANDOM IN MY FUCKING ASS

I tend to agree with this sentiment. Most gambling licenses have very little meaning in terms of protection for the player. It has become more of a right of passage to trade rather than an entity that should uphold and govern the rules.

- T

Agreed, all licenses are there for one reason, created by the government of said country, to force the casinos to need one so that they can be taxed a % for accepting players from that country, player protection
is far far down the list, as long as the licensee is getting their tax they don't seem to be too bothered, the only time they will be bothered is if said casino is accepting players from that particular country without paying the taxes.

It is exactly because they ARE random that this happens...

The only random part about slots is the Human factor/element.

Start being more random in your game play and I can almost guarantee you will stop complaining about such a long losing spree.

Don't always use auto spin, don't always manually click, mix it up.

Don't always play the same games.

Don't always use the same bet sizes.

The list could go on.

Finally.. When the server needs to compensate itself don't give it a chance to do it at a smaller bet size than your average, raise it instead. You might bust out most of the time doing so but will be extremely surprised how many times the opposite happens and you get a nice cash out instead.

I don't believe in any of the "tricks" that I get recommended by my viewers when I stream. Stuff such as do 5 quick spins for a bonus, auto spins instead of manual spins, close and then open the game etc.

If any of these "tricks" results in a guaranteed positive outcome, the slot is truly broke and should never have been released.

And if any of these "tricks" did work to the amusement of the person that suggested it, then it was pure luck and nothing else.

They are random regardless of RTG and I am having a terrible summer in regards to my button pressing. My profit for the year has gone from $830 to $350. Can't win anywhere.

Sorry to bust your bubble but none of that is true at all...

Except that is for when you press the start button... As the RNG is constantly spitting out numbers. Pressing the button a fraction of a second earlier or later would give you a different result... Not that you'd know that of course. And over time it all evens out :)

It's Human nature to remember when things you did "worked" and never remember when they didn't.

It's like people that pray - 99% of the time they aren't answered, yet when through luck one comes true then all of a sudden it's a miracle ;)

Is it worse than the "F" or "L" word? :D:D

And to respond on the topic.
No, I do not believe slots are random.
It depends what you classify as random but for a slot to achieve it's advertised RTP it cannot be random in my eyes.

Also, and I am sure lots of people agree:

How many of you have hit let's say a 1000x + stake win on a slot and very shortly after another one on that very same slot.
Be sure, your personal RTP might be skyhigh after that first win and I believe there is no chance in hell that slot will "give" you another mega win.
It might happen but I would say the chances are 1 in a billion. :)

Too many people also get very cold streaks after a massive win, all a coincidence? :eek2::eek2:
............

This week I won £16300 on raging rhinos with a £12 wager and then went on to win another £20,000 with a £36 wager shortly after. I must be one in a billion!:)

Well congratz on your winnings.
I didn't say it was impossible but chances are very very slim.

A friend of mine hit 5 scatters on DOA and 2 free spin triggers later he hit 3 wildlines.
So yeah it does happen.

Unlike you I am not an affiliate and don't have anything to gain by trying to get people to sign up on my links after they watch a stream.

I will pop a question to you.

How many times does a pattern or tricks need to have happened and been repeatedly witnessed before pure luck and coinicidence is dismissed ?

While it may seem random to the odd depositor, it does not seem that way once you have deposited enough across so many casinos and platforms (deposits as low as $10 and as high as $2000) with bet sizes as low as a few cents and as crazy as $500 a spin when having won a huge amount.

I will still hold onto my initial message that the most random part about slots is the player themselves regardless of how much someone like you tries to tell me otherwise because over the years I have truly put my money where my mouth is without trying to make money off anyone else via them signing up and sponsoring me.

Waiting for the tin foil hat comments :D

May I pop a question to you. The above bolded statement. Do you believe you have observed a pattern or trick and have dismissed coicidence and pure luck as being responsible? If so...what was it and how did you adjust your play accordingly?

It's Human nature to look for patterns where there are none. It's a similar reason as to why we see faces in clouds and in rock formations. Unless you have written down or recorded the results of every spin and can statistically show patterns then what you are "feeling" is just that... It's a feeling.

You say you've seen these patterns because you've played a lot... So do you think this gives you more insight than someone who makes these games for a living and has inside knowledge of the maths? Or do you just think I'm lying ;)

Btw - players are not random at all... In fact most are creatures of habit.

What is being an affiliate got to do with the price of cheese? The slots play the same whether I play them on stream or off stream, whether I do or don't promote a casino.

There simply is no trick in the book that makes a slot play you want it to play, end off really.

First of all these so called "tricks" from my experience are purposefully programmed in by the software to make a decent level depositing/turnover player believe that they have found the silver bullet and intended to play mind games with the player (I learnt that the hard way).

By tricks I mean, hitting space bar for max bet when it hasn't been used in a long time, quick spin mode, changing from auto to manual bets, clicking away in frenzy mode, moving the cursor to different parts of the screen, dramatically changing bet size to something the server wouldn't expect you to do by your previous patterns (aren't Go Wild suddenly in the rogue pit for enforcing a condition like this against a player who didn't even use a bonus ? Even the casinos that enforce it for players who are using a bonus, if its completely random then why should they be scared of someone changing bet sizes and use these terms ?).

If it hasn't been performed in a long time there is a high chance that you will land a big win in the short term. The downside is once this has happened, the server will penalize you any time you try it again (hence your "coincidence" arguments and how the mind only remembers certain things).

What are the odds of hitting 5 scatters on Mega Moolah ISIS at $25 a spin ? Pretty strange how it landed after changing to quick spin mode, auto for 10 spins and holding down both buttons on the mouse the whole time after not attempting any of those 3 "tricks" for a very large number of spins and then randomly thinking none have been tried in a long time so lets try all 3 at once.

None of these things will guarantee you to keep winning anywhere because if the server decides it wants all your money it will make sure it takes it all but totally criticizing anyone who suggests them and pointing to tin foil hats and cloud formations is just the industries way of trying to maintain that they are completely random, which they are NOT.

Plenty of previous posts in this website over the years show plenty of people agreeing to this (even this thread itself wouldn't have been created if they were 100% random). RNG seeds, player profiling are 2 things that partially explain that they are not 100% random and there are plenty of other factors.

I'll go put my tin foil hat back on now for you now.

The most overused combination of words on this forum, are "tin foil" or "tin foil hatter" especially when talking about random, those that roll those words out are idiots, there is a name for that
and it is called ad-hominem

You attacked your opponent's character or personal traits in an attempt to undermine their argument.

Ad hominem attacks can take the form of overtly attacking somebody, or more subtly casting doubt on their character or personal attributes as a way to discredit their argument. The result of an ad hom attack can be to undermine someone's case without actually having to engage with it.

Example: After Sally presents an eloquent and compelling case for a more equitable taxation system, Sam asks the audience whether we should believe anything from a woman who isn't married, was once arrested, and smells a bit weird.

Yesterday I altered my playing style by using my chin to press spin on my laptop's touchpad. It was a tad messy when through sheer frustration I ended up dribbling all over my keyboard, drastically altering my RTP whilst also creating pools of unwanted saliva all over the shop.

Despite some initial successes- including a few 5 OAKs of Js and Qs I ended up busting, much to my chagrin. Which leaves me to speculate whether I should have gone with my initial instincts and used my elbows instead whilst singing Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead:mad::mad:

The reason that GoWild was put in the rogue pit was exactly because they have that stupid term in their conditions because it really doesn't matter what bet size you play the slot at or if it is changed frequently.

Whilst playing with a bonus, casinos may enforce that rule because they don't want you to cash out. They don't want you to hit big on a big bet size and then grind the remainder of the wagering at minimum bet. It is a simple as that, not because the slot behaves different.

I think you need to cover your entire house in tin foil if you think any of that has any impact other than in your head... But if it makes YOU feel like you are getting ahead then please keep doing it

Btw on any of my games if you change finger with each click of the mouse button you're more likely to get the feature. But only on days where it rained between 8am and 9.15am. In Stockport.
