How do you react to a big loss?

After a big loss I would stop for a few days and then bet less for a while. Just chill out and watch lots of TV or go for a run to clear the head.

I suggest keeping track of your daily gambling spend via a wall calendar. It really helps me pinpoint when I'm losing control.

Keeping track of it actually made me try to chase losses, that wasn't the best idea for me. I'm doing much better with deposit limits and smaller stakes

It's all relative of course, but after a sound beating I tend to sulk for the remainder of that day, ruing my inability to stop chasing the equalizing wonder-hit that never comes.

Next day, when I've calmed down and there's no more furniture left to smash or cats to fling out of windows, I'll rationalize what occurred prior, deconstruct it if you will.

General conclusion drawn is that I was a hapless weak-willed dopamine fiend chasing the slot dragon, and so a little later I'll vow to never repeat that again.

Do that a few times and you'll get to what I'm doing now, abstaining through sheer stubbornness and only opting to gamble once a month within a budget. It's been working tickety-boo for a while now, albeit after 7-8 years of PAIN
Goatwack your one of a kind brother crack me up✌

I tend to hate on life then book a tee slot ASAP. I smash a few golf balls and take my stupidity out on them. I'll also avoid that provider for a while, and generally avoid the casinos. I'm considering going back to poker for a bit to make my funds last longer and enjoy it a bit more.

I've been running bad on novibet recently, so avoiding that until next month, I'm doing better at ladbrokes and I'm trying to stick to one or two slots betting low stakes. I also downloaded/installed slot tracker, keeping me aware of my rtp on slots, turns out doa 2 is as bad as I thought after nearly 2000 spins :). 13 bonuses and average of 10x I believe

I never really have big losses.
Its all relative i suppose, but since i try to make my small gambling-budget last all month, i dont want to lose too much in one day.

What i do sometimes is play back a bunch of money after a nice win, a wildline or something.
But i dont really count that as losing.
Its just numbers on a screen until it hits my bank.
;)

Its good to do something positive if you get a decent win,do something nice and treat yourself or others,
spunking it back really defeats the whole object of gambling ( not saying I havnt done my share of spunking).
Think the days of playing for pleasure are long gone, much better ways of using money nowdays.
Also it does bring home the fact that numbers on the screen actually mean something.

I never give all of a win back, but say i hit a wildline for £200, ill probably play back £50 before withdrawing, in the hopes of hitting another nice win, usually fails. =)
It does depend a bit on how early in a session i get the win.
If i have already scratched the itch, ill just withdraw right away.

Usually treat myself to with some fancy food/ingredients i dont normally buy.
Last win i bought an incredibly fancy T-shirt and two spice sets similar to the pic below.
Cooking is fun, and spice is nice. ;)

Years ago, I'd have tried to reduce it but amazingly, that see's it it increase; who'd have thought.

So now I pretty much just stop and come back with a fresh gambling budget and go again. Considering I've culled my casino's by about 75% or more over the last 3 years i don't really see the loses that i used to - it was tricky to work out with so many casino's if up/down but now it's relatively straightforward to keep track.

As shadow said you really need to have an objective for any wins - be it a holiday, new kitchen fund, telescope, whatever - i was guilty of spunking back wins, nothing to show for it in the past: then used to complain about having to spend 300 quid to fix the car - nuts.

I think my first big wins had a bad effect on myself. I never used to play slots, maybe the odd £5 or £10 left over from sports betting etc. I then remember hitting £400 from a random 40p bet on lightning strike megaways I thought wow you can actually win some decent money here. Few days later I hit £720 on a 90p bet on spinal tap (11 wild sparks) then a £1000 win from a £2 bet on big banker wildcard scratch game. This got me hooked and I’ve ended up throwing money trying to achieve wins like these. If I could go back I wish I never got those initial wins as I’m sure I would be a better position.

As others mentioned; go for a good walk, shake it off
If you have pups, theyre good de-stressors and would enjoy the time.

Recognize there's probably other things more important and need your time.

Re-evaluate :)

Perfect session at Mecca today, deposited £100, played reel king megaways at 60p,got basic feature almost straight away which upped the balance to £160,pissed around with Slingo, managed to get to Rome which paid £80,eased the balance up to £250 on jackpot quest, hit withdraw, job done.Wish it was that easy every day.
Gives me a bit of mess around money for tommorrow, got to walk the dog now (yes its raining but hes going
to stare at me until I take him) then make Sunday Dinner.

Nice one, spend your winnings before feeding it back in :)

I used to go crazy like many.. but now that i know our results are tracked and system control the RTP long term, i know that what i lost under the RTP will return eventually.. and it always does... so always that i don't even bother anymore. The system is so controlled that i can predict the future like dam crystal ball.. suffer here knows.. im the predicator! Makes it now pretty boring as i know when/how much im due.. then when i get it i know when it's over and when i'll rip because i reached my "ceiling". I don't really care people argueing that anymore.. after 3 years streaming i could call everything so precisely that's not even debatable anymore.. either everything is completly controlled or i am a super living crystal ball with superpowers....
