How is the immigrant situation in Germany? I see German and European leaders stating that multiculturalism will be FORCED on citizens if you don't let immigrants have their way with your property and lives. Are you going to move back to US, Casinomeister?

I think what happened in Koln on New Years was the result of scores of misogynists getting drunk for the first time. The city police were amazingly ill prepared for it - which was unacceptable and quite baffling.

Germans live by the rules, and the honor system goes far here. Believe it or not, it's not only a civil offense, but a criminal offense to offend one's dignity, beliefs, and person. Flipping people off here is an actual crime. What the foreigners haven't realized yet - or actually are just now figuring out - insulting women and acting like assholes will result in dire consequences for them - if in fact there is a large enough police force. Unlike in the States where you have free expression, there are limits to what you can say and do here. Say "fuck da police" to the Polizei and you'll go to jail. In Koln, it was out of hand and too many idiots to arrest. The upcoming Fasching holidays will be interesting.

Not sure who made the video

But it appears to be an anti immigrant and muslim propaganda video used to stir up even more hatred against them.

The whole video is used to represent the worst and a lot of it is untrue .

Yes Europe has a major problem with refugees but all this about leaders saying they will Force it on the people is not factually correct.

Anyway I have my own opinions on immigration and I stated them in the last thread that got closed for obvious reasons.

And as I am sure this thread will go exact way I will be glad to have it closed as soon as possible.

I agree. A lot of that stuff was taken out of context. It's true there are refugees here, but there have been refugees here in our town since the 1990s from the Balkan wars. They live in the old army barracks, and there hasn't been any incidents at all. The new refugees seem to be willing to assimilate - there are no Sharia patrols or assholes pushing people around here.

That almost sounds like the police is more forceful in Germany than in the States which is definitely NOT the case. If you say "fuck da police" to an german police officer you might end up with a suspended sentence. Yes it is prohibited by law, but usually not enforced - only in extreme cases. If you look different, like a migrant the chance to end up in jail is probably higher because the police officer might perceive it as more threatening. However in the US I'm convinced "fuck da police" leads to immediate handcuffs and a few nights in jail - as a migrant/black guy you have certainly an even higher chance to end up in jail by saying that or with a bullet in your body.

I actually lived in Cologne for 6 years. Kölsch people like to celebrate carnival and are very open/liberal, also political (far more voters for the Green Party and the social democrats). Stealing, Raping woman and other criminal offenses by about 1000 people. Nobody imagined that in Cologne. This is why there is such a fuzz about it now.

I'm honestly very open when it comes to welcoming migrants. However we are in a situation now, where many don't find an affordable apartment anymore because the government buys all vacant ones for the migrants. In the cities the real-estate market is overheating. Difficult to find an apartment. Even the liberal Swedes are about to close the boarders.

While it is possible that what is said/shown in the video above has been taken out of context and news reports overstate the issue, there ARE some things about Islam that needs to be addressed. Granted, the debate and discussions has been anything but balanced. I like what Dr. Symeon Rodger wrote about it in his blog article (he has quite a bit of experience with Islam):

"The biggest immediate result of the tragic events in Paris on 13 November has been the re-examination of the refugee crisis in light of the problem of Islamism. Unfortunately, this debate has been anything but balanced, with some so steadfast in toeing the politically correct line that they will not even honestly discuss the impact of this huge migration on Western society, and others so simplistic in their rejection of Muslim immigrants of any stripe that they can’t have a cogent conversation on the topic. Hate crimes have been committed against Muslims which only reinforce the absolutism of alienation which jihadis espouse. None of this helps us."

He goes on to show what the issues are from Islam's own book, the Koran. I believe he does a good job of explaining the issues here:

Closing a thread because people find the subject matter 'sensitive' is NOT the answer. If you push matters under the carpet and don't debate them in the open then people will be forced into extremism.

These vile actions also occurred in several other German cities and occur frequently in places like Oslo, Malmo, Brussels, Paris, Copenhagen etc. Whether you like it or not, the common denominator is ISLAM.

You have imported tens of thousands (in the case of Merkel's German suicide bid hundreds of thousands) of mainly young males with little or no understanding of European culture, laws traditions and values. The only 'understanding' they have is a medieval book of questionable content which they find has sweet FA relevance in a Western nation.

Most will find no work, or low-paid menial work. They will be back of the queue for housing, opportunities and just as importantly the affection of German women. What Merkel and the neo-liberal politicians fail to realize is that the wide-eyed 'harmless and vulnerable refugees' (most of whom 'lost' their passports/ID but managed to retain their mobile phones) just 6-months down the line have transformed into marauding menacing gangs and mobs.

If Merkel had taken the trouble to examine the wrecked and hopeless and dangerous Islamic ghettoes of Sweden, Norway, France, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Austria, countries which also fell for the liberal do-gooder nonsense she'd have realized the HUGE price the ordinary German will eventually pay for her 'compassion'.

Don't forget, the breeding rate of muslims is 2-3x that of indigenous Europeans. Down the line this swell of resentful, ungrateful and indoctrinated 'new Germans' will rise exponentially compared to the native German. If you think Germany and don't forget other European countries have problems now, this is NOTHING to what the future holds. In just one generation most Germans will not recognize their big cities any more.

Whatever the liberals/pro-multiculti mob say, no matter how many times they throw in the debate-loser's repartee 'you're a racist' it won't change the facts, and underneath they know it. That's what makes it even more tragic.

this is the danger of the whole continent actually!
even if we close the eyes to current and upcoming events such like Cologne one, and keep importing new males(even if is just Germany, is not another planet), one day they will be so many that will be easy to impose their way of living and in our homelands to be treated like minorities. what if is going even further, convert or die? burka or get stoned?
the argument of how the europeans are dying, aging and have no kids is a pissing one. this is thanks to the marriage of feminism and consumerism. rightly so, the womens aspire for great careers, they want to live free as much as possible and when the time comes to make a child or more, if ever, they are too old to still be fertile but with a history of abortions. what about creating in mental collective a way to still be allowed to live in some form of feminism, granting the necessary liberty of choice, but actually stop being selfish and give birth to the further generation instead of importing a brand new unknown one.

To add: Merkel is the prime example of the above saying. germans are getting older? no shit, what about making a child and counter your bollocks. you're too old for that, then youre a feminist VICTIM. if not, at least there will be some german births(german women being the factor) derived from migrants. like cats, all being born from a rape.

This is a huge problem in Sweden. I wouldnt be surprised if the average age when you get our own appartement will be 30+ for the middle class youth. To some extent there's also forming "gated communties" and streets were a 1-room appartement could go for 200-300k$+.

I feel for Europe's burden, however, when you see the desperation on these peoples faces you honestly have to look inside your heart. We in Canada are also accepting refugees at the expense of us taxpayers but in the scheme of things what wouldn't these people give to have a life like us. We are fortunate and I just hope some asshole refugee does not screw this up for the rest of them. But, unfortunately, that will probably happen. Wanted to visit France this year but with the ongoing situation I think I will just settle for the Caribbean. This ISIS thing is truly ruining Europe's economy as many people will be afraid to travel there. Me for one. I love Europe so I hope the hold the faith and hold true!

We are now seeing the backlash from politicians walking blindly into this on the premise that we must bend over backwards to fit in with minorities, and dare not criticise such groups. I have seen a level of insanity coming from the US that could leave them too weak to deal with a paper bag. This "safe space" and "politically correct" BS that has lead one school to ban games like tag in the playground, not for the usual health and safety reasons, but because they fear that merely being tagged as "it" in such a game could cause irreparable emotional damage to the child. Now, when that child grows up into a "scaredy-cat" adult, good luck recruiting a new generation of soldiers to defend the country as they will all wilt and have a mental breakdown during the first drill session because the drill sergeant raised his voice at them.

If you raise entire generations in comfortable "safe spaces" where they can never be criticised, nor their views so much as lightly challenged, how are they going to cope when they enter the real world and find themselves criticised and their views and ideas challenged. There will be no safe space to run and hide in then, they will have to rise to the challenge and fight back otherwise they will be trampled underfoot by the strong. This is probably how our politicians have ended up in the mess we see now, they have refused to challenge the belief that ALL these refugees are victims fleeing war and oppression. Some are actually from the groups doing the oppressing, and see Europe as an even easier target because we seem much weaker due to the doctrine of "political correctness". This has actually been admitted in comments made by some of these "refugees", they have come here and feel they can demand what they like, and just take it if it's not given to them quick enough. They view themselves "untouchable" due to their status as "victim" which results simply from being classed as a "refugee".

We have even allowed extremist Muslim preachers the right to free speech in airing their views, yet anyone who speaks out against immigration and political correctness is quickly silenced through the misapplication of laws designed for other purposes. Having bottled this point of view up for years, the recent spate of attacks on indigenous people by what appear to be "marauding groups" of these "untouchable victims" has triggered a backlash, which itself is at risk of getting out of control to become equal and opposite in it's extremism, and just as bad as ISIS inspired views.

This video is an example of propaganda that is as anti Muslim as ISIS propaganda is anti non-Muslim.

Merkel has done a complete U-turn, and there is no danger (as suggested in the video) of the German state FORCING indigenous Germans to pander to the newly arrived migrants by fitting in with the new culture they bring. Politicians are beginning to realise that the old doctrine is a fast track to becoming unelectable the next time around, which is the biggest incentive of all for change.

Not a good situation at all. I can understand MightyDuck where you are coming from. We do not have people flooding our gates and I might feel differently if that were happening here. Nonetheless the whole situation is heart wrenching. I must admit that I fear that Europe will be destroyed by all of this.

Sort of off the topic, I watched the U2 concert from Paris today and thought they brilliantly commemerated all the people that died in Paris.

In closing, let us pray that they root these bastards out and the Syrians and the rest of the world can get back to normal (not sure if that is ever possible)

Let's say it how it really is:

Everybody is actually happy that Germany and Sweden have taken in over 90% of last years refugees/immigrants (those who made it to Europe). The numbers for UK are maybe 20K, Canada maybe 20K, France less than 50K, Denmark appr. 50K. Germany is dealing with 1Mio and Sweden with 150K (own population is just 5Mio)

Letting >1Mio foreigners into your country where some 50% are not properly registered, another 20% are without any passport/ID (mostly to hide their real nationality), just because they are claiming to be refugees from Syria/Afghanistan/Iraq, is just mind blowing and plain foolish. There is no other way to describe it.

Most of these refugees are young males, chosen by their family to be the first to make it out from the war zone/to the land of freedom and riches or simply because of the lack of funds to pay the trafficker mafia for the whole family. Germany and Sweden were the only ones foolish enough to open their doors wide. The reason behind that decision i do not understand until this day.

Due to the sheer numbers they are housed in refugee camps/blocks/tents and left at their own peril to do whatever they like, waiting 6-12 months to even apply for refugee status.

I have been to the Middle-East many times (work related, hence seeing the normal life there) and can say from my own experience how male dominated these countries are. Believe it or not but in my view the Iran was the most "advanced" thinking of all countries. In all other countries in the region men can do whatever, whenever, however they like. Women are mostly not worth the dirt under their finger nails, especially when they walk alone on the street or don't wear scarfs/burkas etc.

Now this attitude/mentality clashes with the European standard of equality/rules/way of life etc etc..... that is never ever going to work!!! Add that they all sit and wait to apply for refugee status with nothing else to do all day and you create an explosive situation which can get out of hand very easily.

Sorry Barbara but i have to contradict you on a few things:

    - just imagine you have 1Mio people on your doors, that would change anybody's perspective on this situation

    - firstly, i agree that it is heart wrenching to see kids in a dingy crossing the Med and looking all frightened. No child should experience war or that kind of journey.
    - but that is what you see mostly on the news. it is not the reality!!!
    - 2/3 of these refugees are single young males who are fleeing their country because otherwise they will be recruited for the army/rebels/IS etc., probably in a lot of cases forced to join.
    - they are chosen by their family, who have mostly already left the danger area and are holding out in a safer part of the country or a neighboring state (Turkey, Jordan), to flee first, mainly to protect them from having to fight in the war and secondly to establish a "new" home for the rest of the family which is then ushered in once the son/brother/husband has got his refugee status.

    - hence, instead of defending their country/city/region, they chose to flee. That tells me enough of their "manhood"
    - easy to be a group of 1000 and attack girls/women in the dark of the night and grab them/rob their possessions/ even in some cases rape them
    - but not "man" enough to defend their country!!!!

And Europe/Western World should feel now sorry for them and let them all in with no restrictions???

The only really brave people in the region are the Mujaheddin tribes who are fighting with little equipment/support, but nevertheless never give up. I have not heard/seen of any Mujaheddin family crossing the Med/fleeing the country.

EDIT: My life has taken me around the world and i have lived for longer periods in 7 countries (Romania, Germany, UK, France, Spain, Singapore, Thailand) and never had any trouble whatsoever. Why? Because i have RESPECT for each and everyone and treat them accordingly. If you decide to live in a different country then behave yourself and be happy that they accept you.

Barbara, nobody in his right mind originally carried bad sentiments for any refugees ever. the world was moving in balanced amounts since forever, refugee, opportunist or fining their love. the problems are the following: they are not all refugees not at least a half, they rely their life on a religious book from where life and death problems start, incompatible with any european culture. they pretty much abandon the elders, womens and country as a whole for new horizons instead of fighting for their soil and the most acute problem is the word MASS.

europeans were at sea, swimming and playing in the waters on odd but warm weather, until a harsh wave arrived, putting them down. after standing up they continued to play despite the waters looked agitated, and a second harsh wave came even bigger, few realizing the danger and getting out. the most stood in the water and the tsunami came, raping every hole of their body. they are not here anymore to tell the story. this is what happened. Merkel allowed bits of them at first, preparing the ground, very few sense the tsunami of all sorts of new people including genuine refugees, hard to counterattack their ideals with open borders policy. then the rest of EU was basically obliged to act the german way, those refusing(we in the east) being threatened on financial grounds, and other EU revocations by west leaders. we voted in european parlament NO, guess how much the vote counted. and this is not where everything ended, more will come, the policy is still valid. they are planning to make out of this an ordinary thing, in the course of time moving as much middle east people on european continent. ok, blame Merkel but there is more than meets the eye. wherever you read, outside mainstream media, there is the word zion that always ring a bell.

what amazes me is the support of european women, giving how middle east womens are treated (the kind from metro stations, applauding the invasion). or those that have daughters. middle east male, thanks to his holy book, see in womens nothing but walking incubators for their upcoming sons and slaves(when you're 5th wife of the same guy you're basically a slave). this is so opposed to feminism, to decency, to women basic rights they are fighting for so much that makes me wonder if the womens that blindly support mass-immigration are suffering of stockholm syndrome or like self-flagellation. what do they think is gonna happen on long term other than theirs equality turning to ashes, the koran winning without hassle and basically having no chance to revert, burka being a must and the days before the tsunami will be talked as the golden dawn, the good old days. now is only a matter of when, 2050, 2100 or early.. who knows. insecure times to raise a daughter, this is all i see and i'm concerned myself on long term.

thank you. great discription. should mention that i went across the refugee authority headquarter in berlin a dozen times...

havent seen a woman or a kid. not a single one.

and dunover is right: the german government is forcing it onto us. now starting to try to pubish us like disobedient dogs. this will become worse and i am not very optimistic. germany won´t be the place we used to know after all.

islam cannot be compared to any religion since its a whole script for any aspect of life. from religion over politics, justice or military. i doubt that this is a religion of peace. won´t post pics to prove it since i do not want to horrify anyone.
