Five local jackpots in Yggdrasil’s new Holmes and the Stolen Stones

Thursday 24th September 2015.

Yggdrasil Gaming has launched its latest video slot, Holmes and the Stolen Stones™, a unique new game which has five local progressive jackpots that will fall out frequently, a number of times each month.

This action packed adventure sees players join Mr Holmes on a quest to find the missing stones. The Warehouse Bonus game provides opportunities to collect stones and increase players’ chances in the Jackpot Free Spin game, while there is also Shard Collection for another way to win.

The progressive jackpots in this low-to-medium variance game will range from start values of €40 to €10,000.

An innovative feature of the game is that multiple brands from one operator have the opportunity to either pool locally on one brand, or across all brands into one pool.

The pools support multi-currency which further underlines the flexibility of Yggdrasil’s platform.

All of Yggdrasil’s games can be launched simultaneously on desktop and mobile. They also feature the unique promotional concept Super Free Spins™, which allows operators to distribute an infinite number of free spins to different player segments.

Fredrik Elmqvist, CEO of Yggdrasil, said: “Holmes and the Stolen Stones™ is a mysterious adventure, but with a twist. It features five local progressive jackpots that will be won on a regular basis, so it’s the perfect game for the lower staking slots player that still likes to win big.”

“It gives operators a really unique option to be able to pool the jackpots locally on one brand, or across all brands into one pool.”

Yggdrasil’s portfolio contains a wide range of popular casino games, including Chibeasties, Cyrus the Virus, Cazino Zeppelin, Jokerizer, Winterberries, Reef Run, Dark Joker Rizes and the pooled progressive jackpot slot game Joker Millions which last week paid out over €720,000.

Yggdrasil was awarded software rising star at the EGR B2B Awards in May, the most high profile awards in the betting and gaming industry.

Basic yggdrasil crap.. 20 empty spins , 2x bet win, 20 empty spins 3x bet win, 20 empy spins etc...

I have played some long sessions on this one and have to say I did not like it. It looks great and the progressives are very tempting. But in the end, the progressives are really all you are playing for. The bonus games seldom hit. And even when they hit, the only substantial prizes you can win are the progressives. I don't like the "save" feature as well: you have to collect extra gems (5 in total per progressive) which takes a long time and all you really get is an extra gem in the bonus game (= just one step closer to getting that progressive). Thumbs down for me.

I really liked Vikings Wild from Yggdrasil a lot better. More frequent bonuses and they can pay out really well with the sticky wilds feature. I also like the fact that you can earn the bonus feature in two ways.

Do not like it too much. The first slot without wilds i every played i think.
There is potential in the freespin-bonus, but most time the Stones needed for a Jackpot, "block" the place for normal symbols. And i hit many Stones in my freespin-rounds, but of course never five of a Kind...

its a good slot imo ... obvious had some luck on it ..have hit 5 holmes in the freespins for 500x bet

and hit the first jackpot ... never thought i would hit ,usually i would only get to 4 diamonds :)

one of the better slots imo with lots of playtime at least for me

Nice game, impossible to get free spins and second crate in bonusgame was bomb. Game should be renamed....

Yggdrasil and the Stolen Moneys

Had a good go at this slot the other day and I agree with other posters the free spins are nigh on impossible to hit. I played this slot for over an hour at Video Slots and didn't manage to trigger the free spins naturally with the free spins trigger. I did get one free spins bonus by collecting the crystals which are rare as hens teeth. Free spins paid crap. Got the crate bonus and if I recall it paid 75x bet with a four bonus symbol trigger which kinda sucked. In the end I busted out and to add insult to injury because it's a progressive slot it doesn't count as cashback for Video Slots so in my opinion it's a waste of money.

Verdict: Nice looking slot but a total money guzzler.:(

I've played this slot quite many times now with some nice wins here and there, but I am having a bit trouble understanding one thing... When you hit 5 of a kind diamonds in the free spins game, you get the jackpot for that assigned diamond straight to your balance, correct? But what happens when you do the same in the normal game? Will it give you the jackpot amount straight away OR will it simply start some sort of bonus round? Any ideas, anyone? The reason I am asking is because I've got 4 of a kind on all except the smallest jackpot, so I am a bit curious on what will happen.

I was curious too, and instead of checking the paytable, i wanted to surprise myself, which ended up costing me quite a few deposits ;p
To save you the trouble, what that does is simply trigger a Free Spins round as per usual with one diamond (the one you collected 5 of) already added to the reel, which does increase your chances theoretically, but so far i have had better results in the regular FS to be honest.. and did not hit one single jackpot yet, despite an enormous amount of spins:) Had a 5 scatter trigger though, which pays 500x bet so that's not too shabby.

Great slot anyway: well played Yggdrasil! Well played indeed....

Ouch.... that must've hurt, indeed. Well, I am glad those deps weren't a waste for you then, considering you won. ;) Still, only 1 diamond? That's not much, considering how much you must gamble to even hit 5 in the regular spins.

Yeah, I got 5x of Sherlocks on free spins, which gave a nice amount too. Not the worst I've played, to be honest. Try Pyrons and Dark Jokerizer (as I like to call it), now those 2 are some crappy ones, for sure.

Thanks for the information, mr. incredible. Much appreciated.

Off to play some WoOz RS then! ;)

Well, to clear that up, i am way down on the slot, as i hit those 5 scatters on my third deposit, where i was playing the minimum bet, because my first two depo's on it went to sh*t pretty fast, so i was a bit more careful, and had already collected a few Diamonds, so was kind of going for the jackpot, and therefore the min bet was of no influence. After that hit i only played it on 40 cents or more as i didn't want to hit the 500x again on that size:)

Anyway, i didn't win. Did hit the 2nd best symbol in normal spins once, and had a few other sessions where i took a few decent wins and played other slots for the rest, so on occasion it did help in making a profit.

Wizard of Oz RS though, is still one of my all time favorites! Definitely more entertaining on average, cause of the plentiful bonuses, but of course you already knew that:)

Good luck on your session mate:thumbsup:
