Cheetah is a long-standing member here, I'm more concerned that something may've happened, tbh.

Well hopefully everything is fine on his end, obviously. But even for the few weeks he was visiting just seemed to be gettin the run around is all.

Is what it is I guess, just has assumed on the 2nd when he announced the winner the winnings were ready to go.

Exactly Sen, I mean I'm just lookin at it from a standpoint of someone's word is all and I was just pumped to win, if he had originally said in the opening summary that the winnings will come in a few weeks or so I wouldn't be sayin anything.

It's just confusing tho because he said about no paypal. But then in a message to me he said something about when a paypal transfer is complete... And I inquired as I just didn't think he used PayPal and he said it was a friend's. But I had first said that hey if PayPal can be used that'd be great. And if PayPal was on the table thru a friend you'd think that could have been the method.

I mean am I supposed to not care? Can anyone just throw contests out there and not go thru with them? We had a contest thrown out there and a winner is announced, I'm sure anyone else would be thinking how cool to win!! But then sort of get the run around in pms is suspicious from my pov is all.

But I mean if something truly happened then I couldn't care less about the money, but I'm simply going off the notion that he's ok and just hasn't logged back in.

Well at this point id say if anyone knew him outside of the board, or knows his fb, or email etc... Maybe it's time someone at least just checks up on him and make sure he's alright.

Maybe KK can grab his email thru the board and see. Because it's one of 2 things, either something truly did happen or well, he' waiting for this to simply blow over.

Either way I dont think someone just vanishing on a whim during a contest they setup is a normal situation, so that's why I feel if someone knows him or can find him at least make sure the dude is ok.

Yea hopefully. The whole thing was strange tho... And I just found the pms that I received to be a bit sketchy sounding, they really did and it didn't sound promising.

For me of course I want the guy to be ok more than anything else but I mean I just find the timing to be a little convenient, that's all and I'm sure if anyone else here won and were in this spot they'd think the same.

It is what it is it's only a 100 bucks but still its the principle, I assumed any time someone runs a contest they have the money or whatever ready to go soon as it's done.

So sorry CM. Next time i will ask permission before i run a contest. I just really wanted to do something nice for the USA players we barely get any good promos or contests thanks to the Government . Hopefully Cheetah will reappear with everything ok. The contest i ran has been paid out to Must ministries charity to help needy kids during the holiday season per the winners choice .

I can't help to bump this just for the sheer curiosity of where the guy went. He was a prominent member of this board and now the dude is gone like a fart in the wind since this, what in the world happened?

I don't care or want the money anymore. But I'm on many other forums and man if a prominent member just disappeared like this people would want to see what happened, especially under these circumstances. There's no way for anyone to just find and make sure the guy is alive?

Chris, thanks for the links man. Yea I assumed as much, I just think it's a little classless to throw a contest and not live up to it. Even if the guy said to me hey I messed up and don't have 100 but here's 50, or just something.

Right now I think this forum deserves an apology is all.. Despite who won, those of us who took a few mins to post submissions had their time wasted along with mine.

Its the principle now for me more than anything. Just man up and say hey I am sorry, and for me I can then just let it go.. Still doesn't make it any less shitty, but he needs to just man up.

And I'm disappointed in how the community sort of has turned their back to it, if anyone else here had won they'd be just as bugged about it.

Again I don't need care or want the money, but nobody should be able to just drop contests on boards and vanish without owning up to it.

I think he wanted it to just fade off. Seeing him active elsewhere just shows me the guy didn't really have much intention to pay.

I just don't get who does that and doesn't at least try to make amends.

But rest assured, people "disappear" for far less. I borrowed a CM member $20 some three months ago so he could cash out from a new casino where he won from no-deposit Free Spins and apparently didn't have enough to make a verification deposit. The member hasn't been online since the day I transferred the dosh.

Not that I am desperate to have those 20 bucks back but as in your case, it is the principle that counts!

Moral of these stories: Disappointments are part of our lives!

And oh I agree. The difference for me is how forum communities are... Being a part of many many since the days of BBSs on dial up, you generally do see people being fairly loyal to their communities and or just being responsible for the things they do, especially members like cheetah who obviously has been a part of the board for awhile.

If this was some random Joe schmoe around here I would probably laugh it off as wow what a lamer and move on. But this was a guy that supposedly had a decent history around here and that's why I feel hes more accountable.

I think also the lack of people chiming in makes me think that I'm the one in the wrong or something because I've pressed the issue a bit instead of just thinking the worst has obviously happened to him , as this thread was fairly active and now mostly silence overall. I find that peculiar given the situation.

It is what it is. I guess I keep hoping that someone who is able to contact him can at least get the guy to come and apologize, that's all.

Yea if you look at his Facebook CM he's definitely alive and kicking, just pretty lame all all around.

And you really don't have to do that man, honestly.. I mean that's your call and I would be thankful but just saying I am totally fine with it all just being put behind us, I just think this dude needs to come out of the woodwork and simply apologize to me and the forum for being pretty silly here. But I totally don't expect you to cover what he started CM, but that's your call so let me know.
