Hit and miss debit card deposits

Can anyone explain to me (or at least theorize) why sometimes a debit card works for casino deposits and sometimes not? It seems that after numerous attempts, or after waiting awhile between attempts that eventually the deposits go through. Is there some evil government jamming device that causes a deposit to be declined or what???

Mine have always been instant.

And I have made many many......... many.................................. many...

I received an email from a casino saying that they no longer accept mastercard transactions from USA players...my debit card has the mastercard logo, so I thought that's why mine wasn't going through. It worked before, then after that letter it stopped working.

I also tried that same debit card at another casino (not the one that sent me the email) and it didn't work there either.

Casinos use more than one processor for card deposits. This means that the card company may have one blacklisted, but not necessarily all of them. Choice of processor for any individual deposit is probably decided on the fly by load balancing criteria. I have seen this in action with a series of deposits to the same casino being billed to my card from more than one processor.
If this is the case, it would explain why some get through and others don't. Eventually, the card company will figure out who the alternatives are and block them too.

other payment options...

I seem to be experiencing alot more trouble recently I did notice that the credit card companies, (even pre-paid), discovered thatclick2pay and other methods are located OUTSIDE of the united state. They call it "suspicious activity", and be careful because they willl freeze any funds you have available!
However!... I did find a "prepaid Visa" (with all access I got at a "Hess" gas station and convenience store) and a "Mastercard" (with Futuracard.com) also available at the gas station.
You hop on line go to the site register the card and use it!

It is strange as I usually can get a deposit through with my regular checking account debit card. They have all been processed by the same "middle man" so I am kind of at a loss why I can't get in. I have noticed that once I get one deposit through, I can usually get a few more through after the initial one the same day. This may be the end

other payment options

I don't necessarily think it's "the end" I do think that some of the same casino's that have denied payments to winners who are members of a forum (not just casinomeister, although he is the best..but others who have fought for the players rights) have in turn bitten the hands that feed them by reporting "suspicious avtivity by players to certain credit card companies". I think thier hopes were that they would be able to recoup the payout via the credit card companies, debit cards or checking accounts ..But it backfired .
That's my theory, My visa company told me outright "suspicious activity was reported" but it should put you at ease to know these new methods ARE available and the upside is..I found it harder to go over my "set daily amount" I made for myself! If I only have the prepaid "all access" and "futura" cards and not my checking account funds.
I know you can request a (reloadable) card through www.allaccessgift.com, or www.futuracards.com.
let me know if you try them.

Well whatever the reason mystic, I'm afraid that you just outted two of your successful deposit methods and you probably won't have the option any longer soon. I suggest all of us not be specific as to what works and what doesn't as "The Man" is everywhere these days. I'm going to keep trying with the debit card, but I'm not very optimistic at this point, and I've been in the game for quite a long time!! Wish the news was better. If anyone hits on something that works well, or something new, let's PM each other with the news for now, o.k.? Meantime, keep up the fight all.

Specifics may be discussed safely in the American the Beautiful section.

Pacers, I am sorry if you were trying to keep hush hush about any of that. I have been using the "first" for years with out ever having a problem up until the day of the received funds. I am relatively new to the forum, but definately not new to Gambling on line and off. I gave my opinion which is indeed my opinion as to what has worked best for me, I also feel it would benefit alot of others who wake the next morning kicking themselves in the backside becuase they went over thier deposit limit, chasing a jackpot!
Again my appologies.:notworthy

Yep. And it's only going to get worse for US players (as if it isn't bad enough already).

Hey Mystic, nothing to apologize for, just pointing out the obvious in that we are in a new era of prohibition here in the land of the free. I know your intention was well meant, and I'm sure all here appreciate any options available. I started this discussion because I can't for the life of me understand why I can attempt a debit card deposit 50 times in a row with no success and then hours later try again successfully. One would think that a deposit method would either work, or not work at all, all the time!!

I tend to agree with lojo though. Prohibition never worked here with alcohol, it isn't working with drugs, and it certainly won't work with this most recent infringement on our rights.

Like the old Styx song says......

SO LIFT UP YOUR HEART
AND MAKE A NEW START
LEAD US AWAY FROM HERE

Come on USA, think for yourselves before it's too late (if not already)

Hang tough guys.

Pacers first off thanks.. I think you all know I never intend on replying to a post to dis or insult anyone! although at times I have been taken the wrong way or "rubbed someone" the wrong way, oh well.. life still goes on in that case. Hovever I think the problem with your card may have more to do with the other thread that is jumping in # of posts as we speak.. I don't know if you checked it out yet , but

check it out... very intersting thread!

Maybe this post is outliving its usefulness, but I still haven't heard one good reason that debit card deposits are so spotty. Anyone have any real knowledge. I mean it just doesn't make any sense. It is the same conundrum that allows our deposits to be taken immediately by ACH, yet can't be returned to our accounts in the same way. I am really getting pissed off by all the double talk and jive with this. IF YOU CAN DEBIT MY ACCOUNT THROUGH ACH, WHY CAN'T YOU CREDIT MY ACCOUNT THE SAME WAY!!! IT MAY BE BENIGN, BUT IT SURE SMELLS LIKE SCAM TO ME.

Should we all just chuck this whole thing?? I sure don't want to.

Did you miss the VWM post?

I wouldn't 'chuck it' but I wouldn't be playing in a week or two if i didn't have serious intentions to play on line forever.

It's been about a week since my last deposit. Now I haven't been able to get a debit card deposit to go through all weekend. Anyone know if it is gone forever, or is it working for some of you guys??

Mine quit working weeks ago, when I asked my bank they said they had implemented new software that blocked gambling sites. I have applied for a prepaid that is supposed to work. Netspend. Hope it does.

Casinos and/or payment processors might have max limits in place for the number of transactions or cumulated transaction amount on a daily or weekly basis to limit their risk exposure. This is usually done based on a sliding window which means your transaction might be denied one hour but the exact same transaction might get approved a couple of hours/days later when older transactions are dropping out of this window.
Your Casino might or might not want to let you know the details of such procedures...
