HI! I need a friendly advice regarding payment delay at Rockbet

You have to wonder how up-to-speed with the latest fraud detection software technology many of these operators are - it certainly does not appear that they are using the latest developments to best advantage - for them and their players.

I never said Rockbet had a million players but I'm not going to disclose how many there are. I have also managed This is Vegas.

If anybody wants any personal questions answered just ask me but I don't have much time to read everyone complain at once on a forum. I never accused anyone of being fraudulent but I did state that on average most of the players that are requested to verify more than the photo ID end up being fraudulent and that usually coincides with player complaints on a forum with a low post count. Just because the account has some age doesn't mean much either but I never said that all players and posters are fraudulent.

If anybody wants to believe this is a common occurance at Rival you can believe whatever you want. I know the accounting department very well and these are very rare cases and most of them end up being fraud cases. If everyone had to go through this Rivals wouldn't have survived while others have failed.

With that said John, I realize that you and others in such a position such as a casino rep or affiliate manager and that when you post on CM in essence you are putting yourself on the chopping block so to speak but it's important to note the majority of seasoned posters at CM aren't out for blood, they would just like their questions answered honestly and completely and not have the questions or inquiries deflected by innuendos that the poster was doing something fraudulent. If the poster is proven to be a fraud, then yes, just say so and that should be the end of the story.

It seems to be quite a common theme especially at other forums that cater to affiliate reps/managers for the regular posters here at CM to be viewed as pissers and moaners with nothing better to do than moan and groan about every issue no matter how slight and just generally be viewed as troublemakers. It isn't true.......there are many valuable, intelligent contributers here that genuinely care about other players and fairness in the online gaming world.

This seems not to be the case here at Casinomeister. The half dozen or so players asked for this (photo of them holding ID) mostly turned out NOT to be fraudsters. It seems this request, although still rare, is being badly targeted.

Well, it does seem that casinos persist in using systems which involve the player "self verifying" by THEM being responsible for preparing and sending in their documents. Whilst this is good enough for catching the "amateur" fraudster, the professional will benefit by being in control of preparing and sending plausible ID documentation to the casino. The shortcomings of this system may be why so many legitimate players end up in the "suspected of fraud" category, which to the innocent player just looks like they are "getting screwed over".

Recently a friend of mine had her photo hijacked from the largest "social network" site online. The hijacker used her pic to open a fake account and began leaving nasty comments on other people's pages.

This is what she had to do just to get the webmasters to close the bogus account:

She had to take a photo of herself holding a piece of paper with her account number and correct e-mail address. This is called a "salute". If your face doesn't match the face on the fake site, it stays up forever.

Then she had to scan it, upload it to her page, and e-mail it from her account internally.

Pretty strict huh? You can probably guess the name of the site, it does have millions and millions of members.

This sort of requirement is not unheard of, but it is pretty fool proof.

Hey John:

This is just my opinion, but if you had been in the industry 15 years and affiliated with a well known and established brand, I might overcome my offense at your superior tone in the few posts I've read from you.

I've been gambling online a long time, but I don't know you and I sure don't know much about your software (except what I have read on forums like this). I'm all for free speech, but seriously, you come across to me as combative and defensive, which it goes without saying does not build confidence in the establishments your represent.

Yeah, sometimes people who post here turn out to be frauds and the vast majority are found out and banned. There is so much more to this forum than "complaints", and thank goodness for it. I say this because I wouldn't last two minutes with you in live chat, personally.

Most of the time players resort to a forum like this simply because they have encountered an attitude of indifference, or they have been given conflicting information, not because they seek retaliation.

Dude, if your software and the establishments you represent are "all that"; you would have nothing to hide, no reason to be obviously defensive, and you'd probably show a little more respect for us, this forum and your customers, current and future.

Well, it seems the concept of taking a photo of yourself holding a form of ID is NOT just something the online casino industry dreamed up in a moment of madness.
I remember suggesting it some while ago when a player was having trouble with requests for all sorts of "notarised" documents, DNA, and fingerprints:rolleyes: - and was getting nowhere. Sending a photo of themselves holding the ID they had scanned & sent broke the deadlock.

Maybe players should be prepared to accept this as an extra form of ID, equivalent to the far more inconvenient "notarised document" request.
The problem is that the player is going to feel they have ALREADY been branded a fraud simply because they have received such a request.
Casinos should perhaps try to take the stigma out of being asked for a picture of yourself holding your ID by NOT associating it with fraud, but merely as a way of getting added verification when the documents offered by players are not up to scratch.

(sorry probably did this wrong..how do you get that gray box with the quote in it?)

I'm new here and to online playing, compared to most of you. So I'm just going to throw this out there.
If the casinos just added the 'holding your ID and taking a pic' to their SOP of cashing out, wouldn't it just end this problem? If it is there to read when you sign up, then you know going in what they will expect of you before they let you have your money.
If there is still a question of fraud after providing all the documents they require, then the snail mail letter to the person trying to cash out should knock out the bad guys....right? maybe?
Then again, maybe I'm thinking like a newbie, without the education in online playing rules and regulations, and that didn't play back in the day of easy cashouts?

Casinos rarely ask for pictures of players holding their ID. In general, players feel such requests should not be necessary when they have already sent in the document anyway.

Sending a letter to the player's address should weed out those who use fake addresses and IDs to play on multiple accounts, but it seems always to take a business a couple of months to do what WE could achieve in an afternoon. I could send a letter to YOU (if I had your address, and wanted a way to verify you really were there). I could produce it in a few minutes, and have it posted FIRST CLASS or AIRMAIL by the end of that day, you should receive it within a week. If a CASINO were to do this, it would take over a MONTH. I know this, because Crypto casinos once used this system, but they took so long to send out the letter that this rather effective address verification system failed because players would not tolerate the lengthy delay.

The standard for ID for online casinos is 1x photo ID + 1x address verification. They will also want back & front of any cards used, and a few are daft enough to ask for back & front of a VIRTUAL credit card (could always send them front & back of my monitor, with the middle 8 digits of the serial number blanked out:D). You may even have to sign a form declaring you made the deposits, and they were correctly charged to your card.

Players sometimes accuse games of being "rigged", and that they can see patterns that prove this - complete BS for honest and random games. Casinos can make the same mistake with players, they see "patterns indicating fraud" that simply do not exist, and are then trained to rebutt any denial of guilt from the player under suspicion, who then has to go to extreme lengths to make the casinos see sense. The best indication of this are the instances where a player has played for a while, had their documents nodded through each time, and suddenly - this one casino says these same documents and other "patterns" indicate fraud. This makes it something of a lottery for the legitimate players, who have to take the risk of wrongly being branded a fraud, and being able to do little about it.

thats a lot of round yellow things
