Hero Gaming self exclusion

Hi everyone,

Recently I took the step to self exclude myself from casinos because I couldn't fool myself any longer and know I have a gambling problem.

I can't use GamStop sadly because I am not from the UK, so I had to manually self exclude from most sites.

Today I had a relapse, signed up some new casinos and lost my paycheck once again.

Now when I checked the sites it appears they are all owned by hero gaming, and I self excluded from 2 sites they own, casino heroes and boom casino, yet I was able to sign up and played at their simple casino sites with no checks it seems.

Is there a rep that can look into this?
 
If they are under MGA license, the self exclusion only carries to the property you have been asked to be self excluded. I quote some similar complaints from other service:

Under the MGA license the operator are only required to carry a self-exclusion over to other properties on the license where the player explicitly requests this happen. Without this request the self-exclusion only applies to the property it is requested at.

Thanks for this info, I had a chat with one of the sites and asked to be self excluded from all their sites but they insisted I have to contact each customer support individually, even though it's the same customer support... I have doubts about them "taking it seriously" when they don't mind that addicts can continue gambling on their other properties
 
Regardless of my own issues, is this acceptable behaviour for a company that claims things such as these?

Can I get an expert opinion from @maxd or @Casinomeister on the subject, if not for me at least for the general community, because I don't get really get it.
 
You have the tools to control your gambling - deposit limits, loss limits, and time out periods. I haven't checked, but I am pretty sure that this casino offers these tools, and it is your responsibility as an adult to use those tools.

That may sound harsh, but that is the reality of gambling. You are responsible for your actions, no one else is.

Agreed and this is my fuck up, I just wonder about the general situation of RG and why this is acceptable when a company claims to care. At this point there is nothing to be done in my case it seems, but maybe I can raise awareness to help others

IMO statements like "we care a lot" etc are generally there for the punters to read and have a warm feeling about. Legally they mean nothing and well more than half of the casinos that make such statements really don't give a damn about your problems or anyone else's.

So it comes down to what Bryan said, in the end you are responsible for your actions. AFAIC trying to find ways that the casino can be made to take responsibility is not only futile but it's barking up the wrong tree.

I see, thanks for the insight... Really depressing not gonna lie, that they can't be held accountable for basically false advertising. It also makes for a scary prospect that I can never be certain it's actually true if they go as far as to say you can self exclude but won't actually be excluded from any of their new casinos, etc. It's my fault for gambling like a moron but the companies pretending to care and acting like scumbags is an additional blow that just makes things worse

They'll use multiple licences, alternate jurisdictions, whatever to allow them to get away with mangling the self-exclusion system. Players assume it's a safety net but its got holes and they're getting bigger by the day.

We really do need government level control like we have in Germany now. Which now that I think about doesn't actually help when there is so many casinos that Germans can still play that don't have licenses and just make up their own rules... The landscape is scary to think about, it feels like a hopeless situation and a never-ending fight with everyone continuously bending the rules to get that extra cash out the people who can't help themselves and continue digging their own grave
