Hi,

I'm 24, sicklisted since a couple of years, have short of money and depression etc. Can I be a better candidate to get stuck in this gamblingworld? I played won, lost couple of hundred. That was some months ago, but it got worse the other day.

It started that I won 700 euro. Then lost it, got frustrated. Won 1300 euro (1050 on one time on a slotmachine), but lost it since I wanted more. Then I lost even more like 1500 euro in total (real money - not winnings). Then I made a last bet, won over 3500 dollar, but couldn't resist gaming and took so big risk I lost everything... Stupid yes and I really can't explain why. I just couldn't stop. Probably my OCD made me going.

So here I am, wanting to share my not so joyful experience and hoping to help others by sharing my thoughts, impressions and experience with onlinecasinos. And I'm not going to give some casino flattered reviews. What about one casino who blocked me 15 minutes after deposit? That one is hard to beat.

If you have any questions, feel free to give me a PM. I will write soon about my experience.

Hi WML,

First thing, change your username. Doesnt bode too well for you, I suppose.

I notice that you are from Sweden. If you cannot resist the urge to have a flutter or a small bet, maybe you can switch to playing poker freerolls. I notice that many swedes like poker. You can have a good time chatting, win some dough without using any of your own money. PM me if you wish to take this course and I can recommend you to a site or two that offers some nice freerolls. Dont worry, I am not an affiliate and wont gain a cent from this action.

Excellent advice chuchu. You really don't have to 'gamble" in order to gamble. There are many tournaments at both casinos and poker rooms that have low joining fees - or are free to join. Here you can play the games with play money and still have a chance to win a cash prize. And the most you'll be out of your pocket is $25 or so.

Thanks for answers.

I will have a look a poker later. The problem is I'm very impatient so I'm taking great risk to win big, but most times I lose.

The point with my name is that I'm dealing with my life in some way. I had to take a loan to pay the bills last month. And it's going to be really rough for two months.

If you are gambling till a point where you're taking a loan to pay bills and etc, then you are certainly having a gambling problem. It's good that you could realize this sooner than later.

Please do consider giving Gamblers Anonymous a call or writing to them. If you need the contact in Sweden, it's : www.ga-sverige.se .

Gambling is suppose to be for fun only and if you're going to the point where you're having to take a loan and etc to subsidise your gambling habits then you're definitely overdoing it and would need to really seek professional help.

I really do hope that you will be able to get over it. Gambling is fun when you're playing around with money that you could afford to lose but it gets bad when you play with money that you could not afford to lose.

Hope you would understand that we're just here to try to help you out and not trying to say that you're bad or something. Good luck on getting over your problem.

Just for your information, this quote came from a Casino Owner directly. He said this... "I'm not afraid of you winning everything I have coz I could always get more, I'm just afraid that you'll not return to play anymore".

Think of this quote and before you ever gamble again, think of over to see if you catch the meaning of it. The odds are always against you so the longer you play, the easier you'll lose everything.

Then you really should consider quitting and getting Gamblock - there's a link for that in the Quit Gambling page. Check it out.

Hey WagerMyLife

Gambling should be fun mate, and never take over your life. I've loved it for all my adult life, but I'm equally always conscious what a fine line I walk between having a hobby and being addicted. I control it, but it's always possible to slip. Indeed, I have a couple of friends that have over-stepped the mark and come close to ruining their lives. I've been able to help them through, which is a little ironic I guess considering how much I gamble.

Keep it fun, enjoy it AND NEVER play with money you can't afford to lose. Being able to play online has made gambling so much more accessible but you must always consider money deposited as money SPENT, not invested. If you win, great - but if you lose make sure it's not a big deal.

Hope I'm not sticking my nose in unwanted, feel free to respond/PM if you ever need help/advice.

Cheers.

Hello WagerMyLife Welcome to the forum.
Someday we all hope to hit the Pot Of Gold in our life.
Only gamble what you can afford. If you don't have it don't piss away money you don't have just think of the loved one's you do have in life you rather spend it on.
To gamble is to have fun not to lose everything you have already.
I wish you the very best of luck.
