Hi all! I play on sportsbook.com for wagering on sports and I love their download casino which is Realtime Gaming. There is a message on their site that players MUST upgrade their download casino to continue playing on there. I spoke with a rep and this is what I got........

You: Hi i bet on your site on a regular basis and play on the download casino

You: I am not able to play those games after 5-30-10 now?

Rachel Jones: Hello

You: Do i HAVE to upgrade? I hate the new software

Rachel Jones: Can I have your customer ID number please? (You can find this number underneath your name on your betting ticket when you login to your account on the main page of the website.)

You: Also is the download casino software RTG?

You: *********

Rachel Jones: Our downloadable Casino software which is provided by Realtime Gaming, is tested and approved by TST (Technical System Testing). TST is a world leader in testing gaming software and RNG (Random Number Generation). TST certification is one of the hardest to come by, as their tests are rigorous and extensive. No game is released by Realtime Gaming until it has been certified by TST.

Rachel Jones: Sorry for the inconvenience, but you do need to do the upgrade.

You: what if i dont?

Rachel Jones: It needs to be done for the system to work properly, if you do not do it the old version does not manage the information accordingly.

You: so i can still play the old version then

Rachel Jones: No, at certain point it will ask you to upgrade it or it will not be allowed to continue.

You: ok

The new games dont hold a candle to some of the old ones in my opinion, some of my favorites are 3 stooges, Ronin, Golden Lotus, and Texas Tycoon. I want to continue playing these games but dont know where to go that is reputable , has RTG and takes USA players. Little help would be appreciated! Happy Memorial Day all!

Try here for accredited casinos Blacklab. iNetBet or Club World would be my picks but US peeps might be able to offer more info

RTG is the software provider, the upgrade is across ALL casinos that run RTG software. So I guess the answer is that, if you want to continue to play at RTG casinos your going to have to upgrade the software, sooner or later.

I do know that a lot folks want their old games back... Lets hope RTG listens and brings them back sooner rather than later.

Thank you for the responses, I wonder though if i change casinos if the old games will still be there. Judging from what the last post said, probably not

I don't know for sure, but you could try Bodog as they bought a copy of the RTG source code and developed their own platform from it which as I understand it, contains RTG and CTXM games. As a result, I suspect it is unlikely that upgrades to the current RTG platform will affect them and they may retain the old games possibly. Worth a shot?

Jackpot Capital, Club World Group, Inetbet and many more can be found where Simmo gave you the link, all are US friendly and have well proven track records.

I just checked for these games at Casino Titan, Lock Casino, and Rushmore Casino. All of the games you listed are available at these casinos (all of which are U.S. friendly).

Golden Lotus and Texan Tycoon are relatively new games -- I don't think they will be going away anytime soon. You can probably find them at every single RTG-powered casino (except Bodog, which uses a very old version of the RTG software).

Ill check those 3 out, thanks dave! I tried one of the club world casinos but i learned that they only have a 3k per month cashout limit, that dont fly with me at all. Hopefully these have higher payouts per month.

Actually I think it's 3k a week. Also, once a player has been ID'ed and has made a few deposits, they allow some flexibility if they aren't a dedicated bonus player (but it's discretionary). It's intended as an anti-fraud measure so I have been told.
