Whats wrong with him wanting to help a friend? And using any means available?

Never publicly have I asked, I ask via pm (people who I know) and what have I asked for 5 or 10 quid? Which I do pay back when I can Greylady supa and you can attest to that. If I was borrowing and never repaying then you'd have a point.

This is the whole reason it needs approval. This is all getting rather fractious now and people start falling out.

Approval would mean as I said endorsement from the senior admin. Then you'd have 3 types of poster - ones who read and then ignore the thread, ones who cannot donate but express support or sympathy and of course those prepared to help. None of those are negative though or cause emotive responses.

Just messaged Bryan there. Many of you are being very cynical fact is this could happen to anyone if a mum has their hands full they could easily be victim of theft.

She has other alternatives other than asking for handouts from strangers on a forum.
Advance of wages?
Borrow from friends /family
Overdraft?
Sell some items on eBay/gumtree?
She has various options open to her but no you come on here with a begging bowl let's be realistic you come on to a gambling forum asking for money for a friend who has be a victim of crime?Seriously mate what sort of response did u expect.
Weather this is Gen or not it stinks to high heaven and I for one am certainly not comfortable with it.

I'm disgusted with some of the responses on here. God help if anyone needs help, they wouldn't be asking on here. I'm backing away from this thread now before I say something I may or may not regret.

Wow some people are so judgemental. When it comes to money people turn into every man for themselves... And for what? A number printed on a piece of paper.

Personally I have no issues donating a fiver or tenner here and there, heck I've even given money to homeless whilst commuting back from work. I don't personally subscribe to this notion of 'Well you don't know what they're going to spend it on'.

When it comes to lending to people I know, I trust them until they give me reason not to. After that they've blown it.

Dave is an honest guy. I know him, he's no liar and I'm surprised by some of the responses in here to be honest.
