Let's say you make a deposit and get a match bonus and then play a specific number of hands of blackjack to meet the bonus requirments and after that you withdrawal your money which amounts to just a little more than your match bonus money and your original depost. I understand you are winning money and that's what its all about but how is this really gambling, this sounds more like exploting a system of rules and regulations, finding a loop hole etc... Can someone who really plays to win please tell me about their experience of having a nice winning streak or running up their bankroll of a couple of months time by playing a little every day, and stuff like that. I'm tired of I made a deposit got my bonus and played till I met the requirments and got my money. That's not gambling, I dont know what you call it but it's not gambling. Let me say this before I go, I'm not trying to offend anyone I just want to understand why people think the way they do. I respect everyone at this forum and thank you for taking the time out to read this thread. Take care and Good Luck to all.

You're right eddie, it is exploiting a system of rules to get some free money. Nothing wrong with that if you can get it. I'd say it is gambling, but its not like you WON that bonus money, you broke even. But many will tell you that breaking even at a casino IS winning.

All a matter of perspective I guess. I've had substantial wins (over $1000) playing both with and without bonus money involved.

let he among us who has never used a loophole for personal gain, cast the first stone. As usual I agree with jpm, if they are willing to give you free money then by all means take it. I for one have never accepted a bonus because bj isn't allowed, for the wr. Thats about all I play, so a bonus isn't a good call. However, I never begrudge anyone who gets a few "free" bucks out of a casino. Anyone on this forum, or anywhere for that matter, who works the system of online gamming, and earns a comfortable living from it, more power to ya'. Quick edit.........I understand that some places bj is allowed for the wr, however if you are like me, you want ACTION, not worrying about meeting some stupid wr. I play hard and fast, and drink alot while I play, my only concern is to have fun.

    and:
    PAF Online
In December 1999 PAF launched sportsbetting games for online gaming - and the casino opened in June 2000. The game portfolio is also planned to extend to a range of lottery games. The name "PAF" is short for lands Penningautomatfrening, which directly translated means "The land Islands' Slot Machine Association". PAF is an association under public law with the purpose of acquiring funds for the benefit of social welfare on the land Islands by offering gaming entertainment to the public. 100% of the net profit that PAF generates is distributed to a variety of charitable organisations and causes on the land Islands. PAF operates under the supervision of the Government of land.

    And yes WR = 0
    excluded games = no
    etc...
but only Finnish and Swedish players.

    Hi Sodax77,

I don't mind you being lazy, but if you need to refer to other quotes on other message boards, let's try to paraphrase them here. For members to click back and forth is non-productive to the conversation.

    And like M249a, o_O I didn't get the point.

What is gambling? That would be an interesting question.
If you define gambling by "Risking one's money, with hope to gain more money", then sure it is gambling. Do you know how many people lost their money month after month doing exactly that? It all come downs to how much they wager, what kinda of game they play and how much they bet each hand. Many people don't stop playing when the wager requirement is met, they simply play until their bankroll is zero.
Of course, if you play the right game with the proper strategy you will eventually come out ahead. So is card counting, don't you think card counting is a sort of gambling?

    Hi Casinomeister

Ok, maybe i understand wrong or something. My point is that, i don't understand many online casinos with, terrible wager reguirements, (sometimes with) weird t&c, excluded games with bonus/without bonus. I just like Paf way, there is no wager reguirements, and no exculded games. Like land-based casino (what they are also), you can deposit when you want, and withdraw when you want. But again, sorry if i understand this topic wrong, and my quote. My english is not so good :)

    I hope this answer.
And reason why i use quote to other forum. I see many same nickname here and Wol and i don't like tell same story with ten different aspect. But you are right... I don't do that anymore :)

You can deposit in about every casino there is, decline the bonus and play any game with 0 WR and withdraw at any time. I don't know how it's different from Paf way.

At any online casino, even ones where they give you bonus automatically, you can e-mail them and request not to get any bonus and/or have them remove bonuses in your account. Then you can play and waste your own money without any concern whatsover about rules and excluded games, etc.

Since all house games have a house advantage build into them, you are guaranteed to lose money the longer you play. So play only money you can afford and expect to lose, and don't believe anyone who tells you that you can "play to win".

    Thank you. :notworthy

And maybe i understand totally wrong this business, because every site and every e-mail from casino they offer hundreds of bonuses... But now i understand that i can decline current bonus or ask they remove bonus. And i think my misunderstang is from these e-mail offers, because sometimes when u press t&c-link, you get promotion t&c page. And then i think, this is same to without bonus and with bonus.

Ok, this newbie post again. I read many forums, and find that i'm not only one who understand wrong. So i fix little my wol text, and found this article from wol (i paste part of)
    -------------------
    Bonuses

Wow! What a subject! Free money is good, yes! - but free money almost always Always ALWAYS comes with strings attached. Sometimes the strings are no big deal but sometimes they are a very big deal indeed. Again, you need to know what you're getting into.

The most common string you're going to encounter with bonuses are "play-through" requirements. To make a long story short you take their play-through number and multiply that by the amount you deposited (and sometimes you need to add the amount of bonus you receive) and that gives you the amount that you have to wager before you can cash out.

Typical play-through requirements vary widely but anything from 5x to 20x are not unusual. Sometimes it's higher. Again, it's in the T&Cs. If you're going to take the bonus, you need to know those play-through requirements. Your money could be withheld, you could be banned from the casino, your favorite games may be disqualified from meeting the play-through requirements. Again, read those T&Cs. Did I say read the T&Cs yet? I'm sure I said read those T&Cs! If not, I strongly recommend you read the T&Cs.

If you're thinking "hey, who needs the bonus if it's so much hassle" then you need to know that some casinos don't give you a choice. The bonus may be given automatically and that means you're automatically beholden to the requirements attached to that bonus. Does the casino do this? Do they allow you to decline the bonus? Guess where you'll find answers to those questions? The T&Cs baby, the T&Cs!

You must register/login in order to see the link.
    ---------------------
So when i look some casinos basic t&c, and promotion t&c... i also see that sometimes it is so hard to find these all information. So i understand, that many of you, are "veteran-gambler" ;) and this is not news for you, and i have 1 or 2 month experience (exclude paf).

I hope that many new players find casinomeister site, but maybe some people find this too late... and then it is time to tell these terrible stories.

But i'm glad that i find these information, before it is too late. I have many years "for fun"-gaming experience (exclude...you know ;)). So there is no need to read t&c, when play for fun.

    Newbie say: thanks, lol
