Harry Marathon VS.jpg

I said this already once in January but never really got to do it until now. That is since F*cktent have had their fingers on DOA and turned it into a horror show. Hence, I am on a mission to find new favourite slots.

Starting today I will run a Slot Marathon at Videoslots. Will take it alphabetically by game providers that are accessible here in TH. Should be around 1,200 slots.

Deposits: AU$ 250 at a time, up to AU$ 1,000
Bet sizes: 0.45 – 1.50; will increase/decrease based on balance
Spins/slot: 100-150
Reporting: Will post spreadsheets every time I finish with a provider
Verdict: Each slot will get scored 1-10 / 10

Christmas Bonus for CM members

It is the season of giving and sharing, hence this is what I am going to do:

1x AU$ 50

- Will go to one CM member in any case, win or lose
- To qualify post in this thread a short memorable Christmas experience/story you had in your life
- Only Full & higher CM members can take part
- Winner will be chosen in a random draw at the end of the marathon
- Must have Neteller/EcoPayz account

4x AU$ 50

- For each 250 profit, up to AU$ 1,000, at the end of the marathon there will be 1x AU$ 50 additional prize going to 1 CM member

- Max. Christmas cheers - 1x + 4x AU$ 50

'Tis a wonderful time. :D

Part 1 - 1x2 Gaming

- Worst slots that i have ever seen.
- Trophies and rewards for 2 of the slots only

Nothing really springs to mind (which I suppose I am really grateful for as I tend to try and avoid 'drama' :p)

However I do recall the one year (About 7-8 years back) we had not long moved into our house so had paid a shit load of cash out, deposit, first months rent, fill up fridge, freezer, buying household items for kitchen, bathroom etc.

Was about 4-5 days till Christmas and we were skinter than skint and panic set in how we'd 'Do Christmas' Me n wife weren't bothered about going without but didn't want out daughter to wake up to nothing (didn't have son at that time)

Fairy God Mother must have thought 'He's a good bloke' as if by magic 2-3 days later I got a very weird, very strange timely but also very welcoming Working Tax Credit payment (which I had never even claimed by the way lol) into my bank for just under £900!

That was it, chaos ensued, shopping literally a couple of days before the 'Big Day' battling with all the 'Last Minuters' - The impatient, no parking, cues like the shops were giving stuff away!

Got done, got home and slept 12 hours lol

Not very exciting as I say but something which stuck in my head with the last minute 'Get out of Jail Free card'

Cracking thread by the way matey :thumbsup:

Nice one Harry. My depositing is all done via my Visa card but I don't mind at all not qualifying.

Of all my fav Christmas memories most involve my daughters. My biggest Christmas surprise was finding out how soft I could be about a holiday period that I was so cynical about ( and returned to being so cynical about )

When my two girls where very small I would often go into the Christmas shops that sprung up in Town. Just looking around the shop and choosing a new electrical Novelty display left me with tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat while in the shop, on my way home and again when I watched their faces when I turned it on. I had never considered myself to be as soft as clarts before! :eek2:

Christmas Day last year was spent standing on top of Flamborough Cliffs with a pose of flowers where i scattered the ashes, Brrrrrrr, the wind was felt that day.
Then I got back to town and couldnt believe that an amusement arcade was open ( yes really )
Had a sneaky half hour and left £32 up lol.

Christmas dinner consisted of a chicken tikka starter, chicken curry, chips and garlic naan bread and a couple of pints as i booked into an indian restaurant as i threw the traditional Christmas day out of the window last year for obvious reasons.
And yes, i ate it all.
It was surprising how packed it was in there.

Then went back to guest house, cracked open a tub of cadbury heroes and watched a marathon session of only fools and horses on the telly.

Then boxing day, i got hammered.

The day after, it was lovely and warm, lots of people walking around in t shirts, couldnt believe it, got hammered again.

Sorry Harry, not trying to put a dampner on this but thats my Christmas story.

New Years Day

Early morning walk to try sober up a bit.

Many of us have had Christmases like that. I feel for you mate. A number of years after divorcing I just worked every day during those holidays.Things do get better.

No worries JD, i asked for stories/experiences and all makes part of our life.

My dad died over 22 years ago and his birthday was Christmas Eve, hence since he went we never had Christmas celebrations in the family. Just never felt right.

I understand you very well.

Very cool XMas initiative Harry! Looking forward to your review of Casino Technology slots - simple-looking slots (most of them with fs features), the RTP of which is categorised as "soft", "smart" or "hard".

I haven't got many memory's, I have but standerd yearly routine. But I tell you one thing, Having a birthday 5 days before Xmax is not a good idea as you only get half of presents. One year on mt BDay I received a tracksuit of one of my unties only to relies it was only the top half.
I give you no guesses what I received for my xmas pressie, Yep the bottom half :D

Also cannot forget last year when Captain Rizk paid my winnings on xmas day

How exciting!!!! I'm going to enjoy reading all the stories and watching your stats.... i hope you come out on top at the end of it. I'm gearing up to trying all those rated 7 and above too! (and some of those rated 0, just because). Need a new favourite.. i hope 2017 will be the year of no gemix play for me.
GL winners!

Part 3 - Ainsworth

Well, Ainsworth ain't worth it!

- ain't different: talk of cloning - 12 slots, all 100 lines, with the same or similar features, wilds stacked on reels 3-5
- ain't cheap: min. bet - $1.00
- ain't fast: super laggy at times, 20-30 secs for 1 spin

- finally though: after trying a total 42 slots my first win > 50x bet

It ain't better yet, but will keep trying :D ..... $185 down at the moment.

VS Marathon Ainsworth.PNG

EDIT:

Reason why i said it ain't worth it. Reel 3-5 Wild, Reel 1-2 major symbol + Q's and not even 50x bet

My best and most enjoyable Xmas was about 2 years ago before my mum got dementia.

She used to cook and bake all the Hungarian cakes and dishes for Xmas. She made it very special for everyone and I will never have the same Xmas again.

She would slave over the stove all day long, we helped of course but she loved doing it. Always used to have a great family Xmas and she was so funny and smart. I miss her even though she is still here but not really here anymore.

This year we will still have a great Xmas because family and friends all get together at the same time and its beautiful :)

Ok, (I only deposit with visa so dont expect anything but I will share anyway)

Xmas Eve 1998, not long been in our new home so was a sort of special Xmas, had a lovely chocolate Labrador (the friendliest and funniest dog you could hope to meet), who liked to be in the centre of festivities every year.

Xmas morning finished of the Xmas dinner and went up stairs to get ready, kids were all happily playing in living room and other half was at work. Partner comes home closely followed by in laws and my parents so decided to dish out our lovely 2 meat roast (no turkey we dont like, yuk), Anyways checks the oven, no meat  remembered I had left on side to cool, yeah you've guessed it The dog! not one but 2 joints, beef and lamb, he had jumped on the side and dragged my lovely meat into the garden to devour, the only remnants I ever found of that meat was the string they wrap around the beef, that came out his rear end a few days later. So it was a 'blind' roast all round.

To add insult to injury the little shit then decided to eat all the quality street (yes near a full tin) on boxing day while hiding in the tent we had bought our daughter!!

Honestly its one of lifes great mysteries how that dog lived to the ripe old age of 14, He died 2009 and I still miss him dearly. He is still talked about amongst my family with great fondness.

I always wondered where the phrase
that was the "dog's Bollox" come from :)

I am probably the biggest bah humbug going so that concludes my part of sharing my Christmas story.

Good luck with your quest Harry and may it be a profitable one.

2 Years ago was facing a Christmas of true isolation. Had lost our mum 2 months earlier. The family was scattered and I was into year 2 of divorce from the ex. It was looking dire. Plus financially it was bad really bad. I was out of options. 3 days before a call came through from somone I had worked with in the past. We had not spoken in ages. She said something prompted her to call me.... and that I should jump on a train and go south spend Xmas with her and her husband.

12 hours later was the train to Glastonbury South England. She gave me access to a house they owned across the street. Pure luxury with all mod cons. It could not have been better. Spent Xmas eve getting hammered in the local. Xmas night wining 400 quid at guts ... :)

And Boxing day getting hammered. What was looking like misery all around was snatched from the jaws. We all have our own storys and some much worse than mine. I can see that. But makes you think how important and how NOT important certain things are. This year Im flying to the states for xmas so it will be bet free :) but times change and things do get better! Dont they ? :what:
