I can't seem to be able to download this casino.

I checked with their support and they suggested it might be my firewall. However, after disabling my firewall (temporarily I can assure you!) I still could not download.

Support offered me another 25 welcome bonus on top of the usual 50 if I could manage to load the casino.

Anyone out there suffered the same sort of problem and how did you get round it?

Also has anyone got any opinions about this casino?

Very limited games I but as eek says the BJ is totally fair.

I seem to remember having problems downloading the software too, Can they not send you a CD to install it from?

Worth the wait just for a fair game of BJ :D

Had some great wins at Harrods when they first opened. I remember they used to have fewer games than they do now. I had amazing runs at their BJ and they had regular 10% bonuses with 10xB wagering.

their BJ is great, their JoB seems a bit weird to me - couldnt hit anything better than a Full House although I played there quite some time....

Their BJ certainly used to have a mere 0.06% house edge at $10 minimum per hand. Best out there. I think its still the same.

Whats happening when you try to download? Its a 2 part download if I remember correctly (installer, then download)

Are you getting any error messages?
I press the download button which starts another page and then a tiny square symbol appears in the top left hand corner of the page and that is all.

Nothing else is possible on that page, no error messages appear and all you can do is go back to the previous page. If I try again same thing happens.

I am running windows XP with of plenty RAM.

My firewall is the standard XP one with service pack 2.

i've just tried downloading and its working fine for me.

It sounds like you're getting a new page with an invisible image - not sure what thats all about - it doesn't sound like a firewall issue at all though

did you tell support over at the casino about what you're seeing?

Had an e-mail today from Harrods service dept which is probably not a coincidence. Shows the respect this forum is held in. :)

This sort of behaviour from Casinos is very encouraging shows respect for their customers :thumbsup: (Prospective in my case!).

Together with the feedback from other forum members this makes me even more keen to download. (perhaps they should be on your reputable list meister?) No further forward yet though.

They should definately be on the reputable list IMHO. Excellent CS, well respected name and most importantly, FAIR SOFTWARE (Again IMHO :D )

** I have not gone to the page, but I am thinking from what you are saying... As soon as you close that itty bitty little box, your download will start in the window that opened. Unfortuanatly that happens with advertising pop-ups, or instruction pop-ups. IF however the little box in the corner contains a little red cross, try and check that your browser is set up right to recieve the picture/Java. Also, make sure that your firewall/spysweeper is not blocking it, and then check that you have java enabled. If all of that fails, THEN maybe the problem is not on your side. Do you have a pop-up stopper running? I am thinking. BUT, that is just me. I think to much I'm told. **

Yeah, it could be a pop-up blocker or ad blocker setting impeding a click tracker.

Ask Harrods to give you a direct URL for the download (ie one with a .exe at the end) - that should bypass any interim pages that may be stopping you download

When I played 10 hands SD BJ here I lost the whole 100 in 8 hands (1 push, 1 split, 2 doubles, iirc). They did compensate me 20 for some tech problems. Lost that in 2 hands, again on SD BJ. Looks like someone else got my "player wins"

Bad news . Clicking the link didn't work just get a "this page cannot be found" message.

I have e-mailed Jody again but wonder if anyone has got any further thoughts
