Has anyone been to this casino in Tampa, Florida? It appears they have $5 blackjack tables during the day time. I heard these have auto or continuous shufflers. Do the chips have RFID in them?

Yep, I only live 30 minutes if that from Hard Rock. They used to have all the card games in the back room and since they upgraded over a year ago, there are just as many card tables as slots now. They do have $5 blackjack during the day and night but you'll be hard pressed to find a empty seat at one of the $5 tables at night. They do have automatic shuffle and rfid in them.

I don't play blackjack but have sat and watched other people play. The decks are changed out on a regular basis to.

The casino is huge and have just about every kind of slot you can imagine.

Thanks, Gloria. Would you happen to know if there are RFID readers under each blackjack spot?

No, I don't know that but I know they bought all new gaming tables so more than likely they do have the sensors. After watching the dealers and players it seems like the dealer is pushing or hitting something on the table when all bets are placed...just a guess they're recording the bet from the chip.

The security and technology in the place is crazy.

I don't mind security and technology but if they track my betting strategy then I do quite mind a lot. All that is needed is a computerized link between the card-reading shuffler and the RFID chips. The cards within the shuffler can be fixed in anticipation of how I bet using my betting strategy. If a shuffler can be invented with a mini 2-deck already-shuffled card shoe in front of it then my concerns would be alleviated.

This is what I noticed while sitting, no less than three times the deck was changed out in that period and looked to be a three deck shoe. It appeared that most people were winning or breaking even. You might want to just go check it out and see for yourself what is going on as I've never played blackjack for money.

They've also got a blackjack room just for highrollers by the hardrock cafe in the casino. Even if you don't play blackjack it's a very interesting place to visit and have fun.
