Funny thing that mega fortune and hall of god jackpots both dropped almost in a row :D.

Not funny if you created an email campaign last Wednesday about the jackpots being 12 million, then you had to edit it on Thursday to say 8 million, then you told your content team they were being silly when they said they shouldn't schedule the email to go out on Sunday in case the Hall of Gods jackpot dropped.
My exact words were "Don't be soft, what are the chances of that happening on that specific day, if it drops I'll run along the seafront in a mankini"

They are now looking online for mankinis...

Funny thing is I lost an almost identical bet a few years ago with my team at my last place. At least they let me use a bicycle!

Anyway, it wasn't won at Redbet.

Andy I would love to see you in a Mankini :)

Will we see pictures? I know it's still hot down there so don't disappoint us now :p

I wouldn't inflict them on the world at large, but there will be photographic evidence, I'm praying for rain before it arrives.

The Jackpot has won :

again a player from Norway
again on Sunday
again on Betsson

I can´t believe here in random, can anyone verify for me this is random ? !

It was BetVictor they have a banner up claiming it, £5.4 million. They also paid the Mega Fortune earlier this year.

Press release:

Net Entertainment’s Hall of Gods™ pays out a staggering 6.4 MEUR jackpot

October 29, 2013 17:21

Net Entertainment’s hugely popular progressive jackpot slot Hall of Gods™ has paid out yet another live changing jackpot of 6.4 MEUR to a Scottish player playing at the online operator BetVictor Casino.

This latest win on Hall of Gods™ comes just days after the 3.2 MEUR jackpot win was announced on Net Entertainments world record jackpot slot Mega Fortune™. As recently as April this year a winner landed a 6.7 MEUR jackpot playing Hall of Gods™.

“It’s fantastic to see the high liquidity going through our progressive jackpot slots, and the high frequency of huge jackpot fallouts it offers. Net Entertainment would like to take this opportunity to congratulate BetVictor and its Scottish player to this life changing payout, and it’s very nice to see that our progressive jackpots are well received by the UK player base, which is a key market for us,” comments Per Eriksson, President and CEO of Net Entertainment.

Hall of Gods™ is a progressive jackpot and part of Net Entertainment’s jackpot network, where the liquidity from players from many of the most popular European online casinos is pooled.

In Hall of Gods™ players come face-to-face with Norse mythology in a 5-reel Triple Jackpot featuring the Midgard Serpent in the expanding wild, and Odin’s ravens on the scatter symbol. The bonus game features Thor’s hammer which players can use to break shields and match three to win one of the three jackpots or a variable coin amount.

UK press reporting that winner was a North Sea trawlerman, married with one child and a regular player at BetVictor.

Had been plinking away for about half-an-hour when the jackpot hit, but the article didn't say how much he had staked.

A SCOTS trawlerman has netted a £5.4million online gambling jackpot from a stake of just 20p.

The mystery dad-of-one, from Aberdeenshire, reeled in the biggest internet casino win ever seen in the UK on BetVictor’s Hall of Gods game.

He said his whopper win was “a dream come true”, adding: “I can only compare the feeling of winning as equal to, but different from, the day I saw my son born.”

It took the North Sea cod fisherman half an hour to get the payout on the virtual slot machine on Sunday.

He said: “The first person I told was my wife. She was as shocked as I was.

“Winning the jackpot is a dream come true for me and my family as it will change our lives. We have no worries about the future now.”

The man, who wants to remain anonymous, said he will keep fishing as he would miss it if he stopped but will take time off to decide what to do with his cash and which charities to donate to.

BetVictor’s head of eGaming, Andrew Dymock, said: “I couldn’t be happier for one of our most loyal Scottish customers.”

So, he netted the big one........

It really annoys me when press releases and casinos do this. The implication is that it cost him just 20p to win several million. He may have been betting 20p per spin, but I'm damn sure he didn't hit the jackpot on the first spin.

The £5.4million jackpot is a big enough story on its own without mis-leading nonsense like this.

Thank you Andy for making my day!!!!!!

It's not misleading at all. We know he didn't hit the J/P on first spin because he said he was playing half an hour anyway! Secondly, the spin that won the J/P was 20p, thus he won the J/P for a 20p stake, a cost of 20p for that spin - what's your point? On random slots each spin is a separate entity. And for all you know he may have been 'up' on his session prior to hitting the J/P, so going by your logic it could have cost him nothing.
