Seems crazy, maybe running an online casino is a lot safer than a land based operation!

Seen a few videos like this, I think it was Panorama or ITV's Tonight programme that did a special on the rise of the amount of people gambling due to the economic situation that showed a few plonkers like this one smashing up machines.

Haha, I hope that poor bloke that was putting coins in wasn't on a feature just as that maniac came in and axed his machine!

One would imagine his RTP (his relocation to prison) would 100% in this case, it’s amazing how you can beat the odds at times when you have an axe to grind, I await the groans.

Bregu was immediately sent for trial at a local court and jailed for six months for criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon.

He was released immediately because prison terms under two years are not enforced in Italy to reduce overcrowding.

That's by far the funniest part.

I experienced something similar at a small landbased slot-casino here in Germany...A man totally freaked out and was beating on the slot with his blank fists until they bled. The police took five men to bring him under control ... Absolutely not funny, rather frightening what gambling can cause.

That is why I say playing online is much safer.. Coz on the machines the rates can be manually adjusted.. and sometimes the probability of winning goes up to 60 spins for 1 win.. whereas online is kept between 12-18..

Saw similar at a Tunica casino. A man was playing one of those slots that has cards... sort of a pseudo video poker (in a room filled with real 98-99% payout VP no less). After each spin he would curse and beat on the machine. I was playing VP and moved further away. Also told the cocktail waitress to get security up there to maybe settle the man down. By the time security showed up, the man had already shoved in more money, beating the machine, cursing at his wife/companion, the machine, and the world. Nearly knocked his woman over when she was trying to get him to leave the machine. Security talked to him. Which only made him madder. Finally they had to escort him away.... The man was whining, 'How can I ever win it back if you won't let me play?'

All of which speaks strongly for staying away from (any) casino if you don't have any stopping sense.

See, I play in Land Based as a form of entertainment, mainly table games like Blackjack.

Issue is I play £2 hands when others play £40-£50 a hand, Got attacked once because i got blackjacks 3 hands in a row. At least when people are gambling online they aren't at risk of harming others (apart from verbally on live chat but that's another point). Also when alcohol comes into play in these late night casinos/bookmakers with FOT's then people can get very aggressive when they are not winning.

I might make a change to online only but i do enjoy the social aspect of going to land based with some friends.

Yeah, was wondering if this guy had been drinking. Personally, I think alcohol and gambling are a no-go (I know many will disagree:D). I always want to be clear-headed when money is involved.

No, look at the video again - he has the hammer, and hits 3 machines. The guy was just imitating the ThunderstruckII 3 scatters for the bonus round...

Or was he thinking of joining Netent and trying out Jack Hammer.......:D

Should've posted the video in 'Screenshots that suck' section - the machines sucked him dry, and now the screens are all shot..muhahahaha.....

On a more serious note these videos are all too common, especially in the UK when people regularly pull over, smash or wreck those vile FOBT's (which are banned in Ireland BTW).

The local Genting has got those terrible FOBT's and surprisingly they are more popular than the gaminators or IGT terminals. Mixed with a 6am bar it doesn't usually bode well. Then again at 3am when the clubs kick out I guess they look for something familiar instead of the more sensible choice.

I frequented a bookies establishment for the first time in months today. I've never really cared for the atmosphere inside on of these places, and today was a stark reminder. I was next to an Eastern European who had obviously been losing at his roulette terminal for some time.
He was agressive, moody, verbal, and physical towards the machine. The counter staff really should have been asking him to leave, but no, it's all about the money.
I was so appalled and angered by his demeanour that I simply cashed out and left.
That will be the last time I play in a bookies for a long while again.

These places do attract the dregs of humanity, and I haven't entered one for nigh on 16 years. Sad desperate people inhabit them, the vulnerable and lost.
